Story
Rosie is a beautiful loving girl. She is being fostered with us. However she needs a much more active family for her breed. She is currently a velcro dog but, with an experienced adopter Rosie can be an amazing family pup. She is reactive and needs slow introduction to new dogs. She has high anxiety but settles in after about 2 weeks. With dedicated training and support She can absolutely flourish.

Story
Digger is a petite, 4 yr old female pit mix that came to us from TX. We think she could have some Jack Russell in her too! Originally found roaming in southern Texas , this girl lived in an outside kennel for several months in southern TX.  She is so happy to now be in a foster home. She is housebroken and happy to hang out on a dog bed while her foster parents work.  She loves squeaky toys and napping. She needs to be the only pet in the home. Digger is being fostered in Southern CT. ##795053##

Story
Bishop - Needs Foster or Forever home Male Pit bull type dog About 6 years old House trained Crate trained Walks well on a leash Knows basic commands Can live happily with another dog of similar size Needs a home with older children Up to date with vaccines Neutered Bishop came to us as an owner surrender. He had been rescued from a bad situation by a Good Samaritan who could not keep him. We saw him advertised on a free pets' site and contacted the owner, who was thankfully was willing to work with a rescue. After spending time in boarding while we searched for a foster home for him, Bishop has spent time in foster-based training. He has done great! Bishop loves his walks, and needs a family who will take him on adventures and continue to introduce him to new people, places, and things. He would love a family who is at home for at least part of the day - a stay-at-home parent, a retired person or couple, or someone who works from home would be ideal for him. He is happiest when he is with people. He is an absolutely wonderful, happy, affectionate dog who will make a wonderful family member. Story
Fiona needs a new foster or foster-to-adopt home. About three years old, Fiona came from a large hoarding situation. She is a shy, gentle girl who needs TLC and time to get comfortable in a home. Fiona loves other dogs and we would like to see her in a home with at least one other dog. The activity level of small children would scare her, so an adult home or one with older children would be ideal. She needs a home with a securely fenced yard, and a family who has experience and patience. To foster or foster-to-adopt Fiona please fill out our application - https://www.furryfriendsct.org/foster-application NOTE: Foster or foster-to-adopt families must be located within the state of Connecticut.

Story
Lyla just loves playing with other dogs She's shy with new people and takes a little time to realize you're just a new friend she hasn't met yet - but a few treats and some time and she'll figure it out! She'd love a home with a securely fenced yard (she hasn't figured out leashes yet) and a dog friend or two - and would be happy to live with teenaged children. This sweet girl came from a large hoarding situation and she has come so far! These days she's a happy girl - and is ready and waiting to find her forever home. If that home could be yours, please fill out an application - https://www.furryfriendsct.org/adoption-application

Story
Available In Old Lyme, CT This very handsome dude is Kumo! He is currently in a board/train facility in CT. He is a 2 year old energetic boy. After working with him I have learned that the best place for him would be a place with no children or other animals and an area that will have a fenced in yard with a calm area neighborhood. Kumo is a young energetic dog that loves to eat. Kumo knows his basic commands and tries to push the envelope when it come to wait and stay. When he relaxing he would prefer to be left alone. Kumo enjoys his chew toys. Kumo needs time to warm up to new people. He likes to be asked to do something over being pushed physically. Kumo will go far in the right home. He wants to work and be loved. Kumo likes to walk, jog, snuggle and get lots of pets. He is high energy with a big appetite. Kumo is neutered, current on immunizations, housebroken and on preventatives. If you think this boy is a good fit for your family, please fill out our application: https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application All adoption fees are used for future rescue efforts. Disclosure: Kumo has a bite history, however he has been in a board/train facility for a few months and the trainer has seen no sign of this behavior.
