Story
I rescued Fitz from a shelter in Phoenix 7 years ago. At the time, he was very overweight and had an ear infection. Since then, I’ve attempted to care for him to the best of my ability, but I just do not have the means to care for him the way he deserves and I have a skin condition and dog allergy that prevents me from giving the proper love he needs. He is a huge sweetheart and has the most adorable personality. He’s basically a puppy in an adult body when it comes to food, but will protect his food. When he’s comfy, he’s comfy and you can tell by the snores. When he’s not snoring, he’ll be sure to give you lots of sass when it’s treat time. He is quite the couch potato, but get the leash out and he’s all snorts and wiggles. He has huge, Dobby-like ears, which are adorable, but they can get a little dirty while he’s rolling around, so somewhat frequent cleaning goes a long way. He has a ton of playtime left in him, but his hind legs have always lagged a little behind his spirit.

Story
Meet Vannah from Savannah! We rescued this rambunctious pup from the streets of Georgia and she’s had a long journey from there. She’s probably about three years old, about 50lbs. She is very healthy and incredibly athletic, up to date on all her shots, spayed and fully housebroken. She has completed professional board-and-train program, is very food motivated and excited for more training and activities. We’d love to tell you all about her, answer any questions you might have and give you an opportunity to meet this sweet loving girl!

Story
Pluto is a sweet and loving Rhodesian Ridgeback American pit bull mix. We adopted him as a puppy from Todos Santos, Baja in July of 2023. Unfortunately, my wife and I are nearly complete with our divorce, and separating our household, and thus no longer have the capacity to house and love this sweet boy. We have four kids and several cats, he is very sweet and gentle with them all. He is house trained and update on his shots. We'd love to find a new home and family for him as we navigate this big changes in our lives. Pluto also has a brother from his liter, Neptune, who we are seeking a new home for as well. Ideally, we'd like to find a home for both of them to stay together, but above all want to find a new stable home for him. Pluto loves to be outside, to run and to hike. He loves snuggle and giving kisses. He's also quite fond of peanut butter kongs :( We have a kennel, leashes, collars and all the things that he'd come with as well

Story
Hi there!  Mortimer here, checking in after arriving in Colorado! Im between 1 and 2 years old (no one ever told me my real birthday so the nice doctor at the vet's office took a guess) and the rescue people asked me to tell you a little bit about myself. I love tug of war!  I figured i would start with that since its really important that my new home like to play that with me.  I also like to play with other dogs, but can get a little scared if they are super loud and in my face at first.  I am "crate-trained" whatever that means, and enjoy these things called "leash walks" where i get to go out and smell and see new things.  My foster parents say that i have decent leash "manners". I've seen a cat a few times, and wasn't overly interested in it, but i have never lived with one, so I don't know how i would feel about that. I ended up in Colorado after someone dumped me in a very rural part of new Mexico.  A nice lady there found me and gave me food and water and shelter which was very nice, but she couldn't keep me so she found some nice people in Colorado to help me find a new forever home!  If i sound like the kind of dog you would like to hang out with fill out the application below and be sure to mention my name! If you are interested in fostering or adopting Mortimer, please fill out an adoption application at gotdrool.org

Story
Dixie and Latigo come to us after their human dad passed and Dixie started escaping the yard on a regular basis. Their human mom recognized that she could not keep them safe and asked us to help. We of course said YES! Things they will need in their new home – a yard with a 6 foot fence. Normally we don’t require fences, but for these two a 6 foot fence is an absolute MUST. They will still try to get over it, but won’t be able to. They are still learning the finer points of being inside dogs, but are doing really well so far! Dixie is definitely the leader with these two – she’s first to try new things and Latigo will follow her. They are also learning about leash manners – and so far are doing really well!
