Story
For more information about this Dane, please visit our website at https://rmgreatdane.org. Adoption Applications link can be found on the home page. Hi – they call me Bubas.  I spent 4 months in a shelter.  They named me Bubas. I checked out of the vet with a clean bill of health, but they recommended some meds for fear and anxiety.  You see, I was found wandering the streets, so I have a very mysterious background – my little secret.  But I can tell you this:  I am scared of a lot of things, especially men and strangers.  Strange Men are the Worst.    I have latched on to Foster Mom and will not leave her side – I don’t growl at Foster Dad anymore, so that’s a bit of progress. I enjoy playing with other dogs and my toys.  I’m good with middle aged to older kids, but the little ones have as much energy as I do and they make me a bit nervous.  Besides, I’m big enough to knock them down when I’m just trying to play with them. I am slowly learning manners and commands and getting better with time.  I’m learning to walk on a harness and leash – regular collars make me alligator roll to get out of them.  I am house trained and crate trained. Here is my idea of the perfect home:  Great Dane Experience, female only household, my people to be home more than not, lots of patience and love, another big dog to pal around with and whom I can learn from,  interest in helping me to learn how to bring out the Awesomeness that is inside of me, and some more love.  Please fill out an application and ask for me.November 6, 2024, 3:48 pm

Story
For more information about this Dane, please visit our website at https://rmgreatdane.org. Adoption Applications link can be found on the home page. Loki was recently saved from a breeder where he lived outdoors and was used as a stud. (We believe Loki may have Mastiff / Dane).  A guardian human angel rescued Loki and brought her into her home where he is temporarily living with 7 special needs dogs.  This amazing person has had Loki neutered and brought up to date on shots.  She has reached out to Rocky Mountain Great Dane Rescue to find a foster or foster-to-adopt home for sweet Loki. Loki has started house training and is staying indoors while he recovers from his neuter.  He a smart and learning new commands.  So far Loki has picked up on “sit” lay”.  Pretty impressive in such a short amount of time!  He is thriving with the attention.  Loki is described as playful, friendly, a clown and still has happy puppy in him.  He has good, moderate energy.  Prior to his surrender, he lived in a home with 4 children where it was reported he got along well with the kiddos. The ideal home for Loki:  A Giant Breed experienced home to show Loki what the Great Dane good life looks like!  Someone who will be patient and continue to work on all aspects of training, including walking on a leash and other day to day “Daning” indoors. Loki is a fast learner and has a wonderful temperament.  We believe in the right home with lots of love, this big boy will thrive! Thank you to Loki’s guardian angel, he is one step closer to living an amazing life – was Loki meant to find you? More about Loki: Neutered Male House Training (In progress) Crate Trained (unknown) Good with dogs Cats unknown Good with children* (*limited information on child ages and day to day interactions) Moderate energy Playful, friendly, clown Needs continued training – fast learner Needs leash training Home must of secure fenced yard Giant Breed experience required If you would like to foster or foster-to-adopt Loki Utah (Black w White Chest), submit your application today! Story
Applicants often say, "I'm not particular about the breed, it's the temperament that is important". Well, if this is true for you then take a look at Sorrel. This girl is an absolute delight to her foster family and we are looking for a family who adores her as much as we do. If only you could know her like we do. You too would be fiercely protective of her well being and not settle for anyone who doesn't think she hung the moon. You see, she is from the streets and found a way to survive with her 9 puppies until we rescued her. She lived with an abscessed eye and an injured leg until we saved her. And still Sorrel is happy, and loving and great with people and dogs. She is so much better than anyone could expect her to be. I find it astonishing that she is so well behaved that she accompanies her foster mom to the brewery. She's an inspiration to me when I think I've had a bad day. She's overcome so much and still such a beautiful soul.  This remarkable girl has transitioned beautifully from life on the streets to a loving foster home and is such an inspiration!  Sorrell has a calm and endearing energy that instantly draws you to her sweet demeanor. She adores attention and will happily sit quietly by your side, soaking up the affection. Sorrell’s foster mom describes her as a dream and one of the easiest and most ameniable dogs she has fostered. She has absolutely blossomed and you would never know she lived on the streets. We feel like she must have been someone's beloved companion at some point. Despite her time on the streets, Sorrell has impressive house manners and has not had a single accident in the home. She’s well-behaved and doesn’t get into mischief, making her the perfect addition to any household.  Sorrel would enjoy another dog in her home but in the right circumstances she would be happy as an only child. Given her delight with chasing squirrels, we are thinking cats would not be a good match. For Sorrel to be such a happy and easy dog is all the more remarkable given all she has been through While living on the streets of Houston, Sorrel gave birth to 9 puppies and was a utterly devoted mom. Sorrell suffered an injury to her eye while living on the streets, which was removed on August 21, 2024. She also tested positive for heartworm and completed her treatment  on September 10th. (She must be on monthly heartworm preventatives going forward.)  Finally, on October 24, 2024, Sorrel had surgery to repair a knee injury. She is already walking wonderfully and her happy, loving attitude is a marvel! Sorrell is such a special dog and we want her know nothing but joy and comfort after having such a challenging start in life. ** If you would like to adopt please apply at https://www.circle2rescue.com/dog-adoption-application/  The adoption fee of $250 includes the spay/neuter, vaccinations, deworming and microchip.   Please note, Circle 2 Rescue cannot guarantee the breed, composition or ages of our dogs as we usually have limited history prior to them entering the rescue.  ##2128209##

Story
If you're searching for your new best friend, look no further!  Reggie is a 2 year old pit mix who found himself set to be euthanized at a Texas shelter because of his weight.  Thankfully, a good samaritan saw just how wonderful this guy is and decided to give him a second chance.  Reggie is SO grateful and can't wait to have a family of his very own.  He loves people, especially kids, and can't seem to get enough belly rubs!   Reggie has since been recovering at a foster home in TX and they cannot say enough great things about this boy.  He rides the elevator in their apartment building and enjoys going to the dog park to socialize with other pups!  We would love to get Reggie to Colorado, so if you can open your heart to adopt Reggie, please apply!  If you would like to adopt/foster please apply at https://www.circle2rescue.com/dog-adoption-application/  The adoption fee of $250 includes the spay/neuter, vaccinations, deworming and microchip.
