Story
Hello! I'm Lamar. Though my name's origin is French/Spanish meaning "of the sea," I am part Patterdale Terrier (English) and Pug (China). I'm a quiet, mature 16-year-old male whose good looks and bashful personality will win you over. Being 16 years old, my hearing and sight aren't what they used to be though I can still spot a squirrel in hopes of a chase. I take daily vitamins to support my old joints, but other than that I am quite healthy. I am house broken, an accomplished walker and a professional napper. I will require a very patient individual who allows me to do things on my time. I am very shy of strangers at first, but once I warm up to you I can be very loving. I prefer a quiet home, probably best without any young children. Other dogs are okay if they are not too bouncy, I'm just not up for much rough-housing any more! If you would like to meet me, please fill out an adoption application for me.

Story
Meet Cricket, a shy dog who needs extra time to warm up to new people. Cricket is active and outdoorsy as he loves to go on hikes and be outside. He does struggle with resource guarding, guarding multiple various items toward both people and other animals. His previous owner stated it was predicatable however, which can make management and training more successful. While he has lived with other dogs before, he can show discomfort towards new dogs and the dogs in his previous home so slow intros to new animals is needed. Cricket needs a mature home due to his guarding and fearful behaviors. Cricket would benefit from a patient home experienced with or willing to work on resource guarding, clear boundaries, and structured enrichment.

Story
Rammy has stolen the hearts of many volunteers. He is a sweet pup looking for love and companionship. He loves humans but is also a very shy boy. Rammy is great on a leash and thinks of his kennel as a safe place. You will occasionally find him checking in with his safe place and then coming back out, to be near his favorite human. He is a bit of a shadow and will never be too far from his family. Rammy’s perfect home would be a quiet one without a lot of people coming and going. If it gets too busy for him, he will quietly retreat to his kennel. He enjoys bully sticks and cow ears. He enjoys being home and taking short walks. He is good with other dogs and enjoys playing with his other four legged friends. He is currently working on potty training. Rammy weighs 55 lbs and estimated to be around 3 yrs old. You won’t find a better buddy than him… and oh those ears! Just the sweetest boy ever!

Story
Oh, those ears! This sweet girl just wants to be in your lap or snuggled up on the couch with you!! She will make a great movie night companion! She has a pretty chill demeanor and would do best as only pet. She adores her humans! She enjoys her soft little bed and her little treats. Rue has gotten along with dogs in the past, but would probably do best as an only pet, that way she can have all of your love and attention to herself!Rue is located in Houston, TX.Fill out an application to adopt her or go to our website to find out how you can come to the facility to meet this sweet little girl!
