Story
Meet Ninja – Your Loyal, Gentle, and Unique American Akita Companion Ninja is a gorgeous five-year-old American Akita who’s seeking her forever family. She’s been in our care due to my daughter’s health situation, and now we’re looking to find her a stable, loving home. Here’s why Ninja would make a fantastic addition to the right family: Loyal and Quiet: Ninja’s loyalty knows no bounds. She doesn’t bark or whine and has a calm, respectful presence. However, if you talk to her, she’ll “talk” back in her own way—she has a personality you’ll love getting to know! Perfectly Well-Mannered: Ninja is wonderful with kids and friendly with other dogs her size once introduced. She’s protective without being aggressive, adding a layer of warmth and security to her family. Loves the Simple Joys: While she enjoys being active, Ninja is happiest on a nice walk where she can take in the sights and smells. She especially loves sniffing flowers and enjoying nature. Treat Enthusiast: Give her a treat

Story
Blocky headed cutie pie! Meet Rufus! A fun loving boy looking forward to settling down after the numerous transitions in his life recently. Rufus enjoys playing with toys, going on long walks and hikes, and opportunities for casual recreation with other dogs! Once settled down and comfortable in his routine, Rufus is likely to be a couch potato -- after a long day of fun, he can't wait to pile on the couch for movie nights with his new family! Our walkers tell us that when they enter his kennel to leash him up, he will greet them energetically and enthusiastically. Once outside, he may alternate between pulling hard because the smells are just so darn enticing and then relaxing and walking calmly. When they take him into one of the play yards, they better have a good supply of tennis balls because he LOVES a good game of fetch and when the weather is warm, a nice dip (well actually a lot of splashing) in one of the play pools.Rufus will only be rehomed to a family with children 10 years of age and older and is recommended for a home without other dogs at this time. Meet with him today! Primary Color: Brown Weight: 73.2 Age: 2yrs 2mths 1wks

Story
Meshack can't wait to leave the shelter behind and decompress in a loving home. He's a worried guy who needs a gentle approach and the ability to go at his own pace as he gets to know his new family and routine. Once he's feeling comfortable, Meshack finds comfort in the people he trusts and likes to sit in his favorite people's laps and give kisses. Still young, Meshack will benefit from daily exercise and having a variety of toys to play with. His previous family noted that he loves basketballs! Our volunteers have told us that he is calm and gentle, enjoys spending the time on his walks to take in the sights and sounds, knows sit and shake, and takes treats gentlyWith his love for basketball, perhaps Meshack is a Denver Nuggets fan who will enjoy sitting next to you watching their games! What a cutie! Meshack will only be rehomed to a family with children 10 or older. Primary Color: Brindle Secondary Color: White Weight: 55.2 Age: 2yrs 8mths 1wks

Arlo is an active guy and is likely going to enjoy a routine that includes plenty of exercise and fun puzzle toys to stimulate his young mind. And taking his time to sniff may be the name of his game! We're betting he would love an outdoorsy family or a family that enjoys spending quality time playing with or teaching their dog fun skills!
