Story
Pickles is very sweet with me and my daughter (8yrs), she is often aggressive with new people. We've done our best but it's time to admit we aren't a good fit for her. We adopted her as a puppy and she's two years old now. Her mom is English mastiff/St. Bernard and her dad is from a long line of bovier de Flores. We did six months of training with pickles her first year. She's been such a gentle giant to me and my daughter. She used to be friendly with every dog she'd ever met except for our other dog, Gary. Gary doesn't like big dog. Something changed last year and she can be aggressive with people and other dogs. She chases our cats so we keep them separated. The home she came from had many cats and we were told that she never bothered them.

Story
Our Sweet Zuri is an escape artist and has not been able to be contained. She has a wanderer spirit and deserves to be somewhere that has more space, as well as higher fences. She would make a great hunting dog, farm dog and family pet. Shes very sweet, but skittish and just need space to let her free spirit run. Shes just over 3 years old and healthy as an OX. Great with other dogs but prefers to be the only Alpha in the mix.

Story
Blocky headed cutie pie - meet Rufus! A fun loving boy looking forward to settling down after this transitional period of his life. Rufus enjoys playing with toys, he's often sitting at the front of his kennel tossing one to himself, going on long walks and hikes to pick out the perfect souvenir stick, and opportunities for casual recreation with other dogs! Once settled down and comfortable in his routine, Rufus is likely to be a couch potato after a long day of fun, with a stuffed animal of his choice to accompany him and his new family for a movie night!Rufus has come a long way since he first arrived at Foothills as a stray and has become a favorite of our volunteer walkers. Rufus loves exploring the world through his nose and perhaps may benefit from scent games that will keep his mind engaged by playing "find it" with toys and treats. When volunteers take him into one of the play yards, they better have a good supply of tennis balls because he LOVES a good game of fetch! During the winter Rufus enjoys digging through snow, and would likely enjoy helping uncover backyard pathways with his new family!Rufus will only be rehomed to a family with children 10 years of age and older and is recommended for a home without other dogs at this time. Meet with him today! Primary Color: Brown Weight: 73.2 Age: 2yrs 3mths 3wks

Story
Meshack can't wait to leave the shelter behind and decompress in a loving home. He's a worried guy who needs a gentle approach and the ability to go at his own pace as he gets to know his new family and routine. Once he's feeling comfortable, Meshack finds comfort in the people he trusts and likes to sit in his favorite people's laps and give kisses. Still young, Meshack will benefit from daily exercise and having a variety of toys to play with. His previous family noted that he loves basketballs! Our volunteers have told us that he is calm and gentle, enjoys spending the time on his walks to take in the sights and sounds, knows sit and shake, and takes treats gentlyWith his love for basketball, perhaps Meshack is a Denver Nuggets fan who will enjoy sitting next to you watching their games! What a cutie! Meshack will only be rehomed to a family with children 10 or older. Primary Color: Brindle Secondary Color: White Weight: 56 Age: 2yrs 9mths 3wks
