Story
We have a transport set up to leave SoCal on 11/16/24 to NorCal and OR. We would love to add Sterling to our trip for the right family 💙 Travel costs are in addition to his adoption fee. Travel costs/adoption fee are always due when we arrive in person with your new baby in hand 💙 Meet Sterling, Wally, Stewart, Duff, Finley, and Enya. (5 males 1 female) They are purebred Scottish terrier puppies. They were born 8/4/24. They are current on their vaccines, and yes we have full records for each of them. They have also been dewormed through our vet, had a wonderful overall exam, and each of them will be going home with a health certificate 💙 They are to young to neuter/spay, so yes they will be going home with a neuter/spay contract. Both of their parents came to us, and unbeknownst to their prior owner, or us, momma was pregnant. Both parents are purebred Scottish Terriers. Dad has found a wonderful home already, and mom has an equally amazing home waiting for her to join. They have been with us since birth, and have had exceptional care from our family which will continue until they are in a family all their own 😊 They are very well socialized, LOVE to play, are EXTREMELY intelligent, and have been an absolute joy to raise 🙂 We are going to miss them tremendously but it's time for them to begin their individual journeys all the way to their new families, where they will continue to spread the same love, joy, and happiness that they have blessed us with here ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Their parents both had BEAUTIFUL temperaments, and were VERY healthy at time of their exams. Mom was a great mother to her babies, and was always attentive to their every need of her. She raised them up until the day she decided she was okay with us taking over all while she observed from a close distance ensuring we were meeting her every expectation for her babies 🙃 You WILL NOT regret saying YES to any one of these babies, as they each have brought tremendous joy to our hearts as I know they will yours ❤️ They are pad trained, and understand pads perfectly. They have NOT been outdoors yet, as we are waiting for all sets of vaccines to be complete until they are able to explore any further than the safety of our home. House training will come easy as they all aim to please, and are very attentive when being spoken to. They LOVE being held, as that's something we did from early on so it's a place of comfort to be in your arms 🥰 and we love having them there so everyone is happy during snuggle time 🙂 They have been on small road trips around town, which they have all done very well with! They are all great at bath time, and LOVE to be pampered ☺️ Crate training hasn't yet begun, but they are accustomed to being secured in a play yard, or by gates which they respect greatly. Their adoption fee is under their adoption listing on our website at breadoflifek9refuge.org. You can find their adoption listing at https://www.breadoflifek9refuge.org/post/scottiepuppies. It covers their their individual vet costs (vaccines, fecal tests, deworming, vet exams, and their health certificate,) along with the care involved from their birth til now which has been great in itself, along with their socialization and training that we will continue to do until they have a family of their own.

We have a transport set up to leave SoCal on 11/16/24 to NorCal and OR. We would love to add Avery to our trip for the right family ❤️ Travel costs are in addition to her adoption fee. Travel costs/adoption fee are always due when we arrive in person with your new baby in hand ❤️ Meet our sweet Avery ❤️❤️❤️ She is a 5 month old, purebred golden retriever. She weighs 18 lbs and yes, she is at a great weight. She is a naturally SMALL and very healthy girl. Her adult weight will be between 35-40 lbs. She is current on all of her vaccines and has recieved 3 da2pp vaccines, along with her 1 year Bordetella and rabies vaccine. She had a wonderful exam with our vet whom will be sending home a health certificate with her as he has cleared her to find a home all of her own 🙂 She is crate trained, and sleeps BEAUTIFULLY in a crate at night. She will sometimes nap in her crate during the day as we leave the doors open, and had no problem staying in the crate for a few hours during the day if need be. She is leash trained already, and does really well!! She is a very social girl and will greet everyone she meets that acknowledges her with tail wags and hugs 😌 She is the sweetest girl, and I mean the SWEETEST girl there is, and if you don't believe me you just have to take a leap of faith and TRUST us that she really is the SWEETEST girl 🙃 She is doing VERY well with house training. She does well with a schedule throughout the day, and hasn't had any accidents in over a month here. She is VERY smart, and learns very quickly. She has been an absolute joy to work with as she catches on fast as she is very attentive, and aims to please. She is wonderful with every single dog, and cat she has ever met and I am certain no matter what animal you have she would be their friend for life too 🥰 She LOVES men, women, and children alike. She is that golden you dream of having that is literally every single persons friend. She is NOT high maintenance nor is she high energy at all!!! She is VERY calm, and serene tempered. She doesn't bark at all. She is lower energy, and just happy to lay at your feet, or with her head in your lap. She is absolutely amazing!! She is wonderful at bath time, and will lay in the tub while you bathe her. She didn't mind being blow dried, or brushed and welcomes any one on one she can get with her human. She LOVES road trips, and has been on quite a few around town; and she will just snooze in the back seat on her favorite blanket just happy to be a part of the ventures ahead ☺️ She loves her toys; and will carry them around with her. She is not destructive, and just loves her plushies to be with her, as she has a very nurturing spirit and kind loving compassionate heart. Believe me, that you will NEVER regret saying yes to this beautiful girl!!!! Your heart, home, and world need her to be a part of them to fill them in a way only she can ❤️😌 Her adoption fee is on our website at the bottom of her adoption listing at https://www.breadoflifek9refuge.org/post/avery. It covers all of her vet costs along with the care, and training involved in the time she has been with us.

We have a transport set up to leave SoCal on 11/16/24 to NorCal and OR. We would love to add Libby to our trip for the right family ❤️ Travel costs are in addition to her adoption fee. Travel costs/adoption fee are always due when we arrive in person with your new baby in hand ❤️ Meet Libby. She is a purebred black and white parti colored moyan size standard poodle. She turns 3 in December of 2024 ❤️ She is spayed, current on all vaccines, microchipped, had an exam with our vet including a dental exam (teeth are in great health) and has been cleared to find a home all her own. She weighs 32 lbs. Yes, she is at a healthy weight and is full grown! She is just naturally small, and dainty ❤️ She is crate trained, and will sleep in her crate at night or throughout the day to nap, or while you are out of the home. She also LOVES being out of the crate, and in a bed next to yours at night if allowed so she is very versatile and easy going when it comes to her sleeping arrangements. She is house trained, and goes outside to use the restroom as needed throughout the day when asked to. She is leash trained as well, and loves her walks very much strolling alongside her person. She Is a bit shy meeting anyone she doesn't know, and will stay close to her human during unfamiliar interactions. She is one of the sweetest kindest souls you'll ever encounter, as her shyness just stems from living with a much older couple who were going through a lot of health issues leaving them immobile which kept Libby at home with them with not much socialization outside of her home aside from the short walks they could do with her in the evening that eventually stopped as well which led them to reach out to us here as they knew her happiness was diminishing as her world closed in and the things she once loved to do, they could no longer provide her with. She was LOVED immensely in her prior home, and their LOVE for her pushed them to let go of their sweet girl so she can once again find her JOY ❤️ She is PHENOMENAL with other animals. Dogs, cats, chickens, and horses! She was raised with them all! She is WONDERFUL with men, women, and children once she opens her heart to them and knows they are there to love her 💕 She is GREAT on road trips, and LOVES any length of drives so if you travel and want her to always be a part of that journey she will happily join you on every venture you take ☺️ She LOVES her spa days with our groomer, and has been excellent on the table since day one. She is very well mannered in the home. She is NOT a barker at all. She is very quiet. and serene tempered. She is an absolute gem and one you'll want to call yours at the end of every day ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Her adoption fee is on our website at breadoflifek9refuge.org under her adoption listing at https://www.breadoflifek9refuge.org/post/libby. It covers her spay, general anesthesia, vaccines, microchip/registration, her dental exam, her antibiotic shot that was given to aid in the healing of her spay and her overall physical exam with our vet. As always; her adoption fee also goes back into the months of care she has recieved in the time she has been here with us, and the training we have personally done with her ❤️

Travel costs/adoption fee are always due when we arrive in person with your new baby in hand ❤️ Meet Dutchess. She is a 1 year old purebred miniature schnauzer. She is weighs 21 pounds. Yes, she is full grown and at a healthy weight. She is leggy, and very sturdy in size and weight. She is spayed, current on vaccines, microchipped, had a wonderful exam with our vet, and has offically been cleared to find a home all her own ❤️ She is house trained, and will let you know when she needs to go outside by sitting by the back door. She will simply stand back if she doesn't need to go when asked to unless it's to accompany you outside and just hang out 🙂 She is crate trained, and currently sleeps in her crate at night only. She is very well behaved in the home, and has free roam throughout the day. She can easily have her sleeping arrangements changed to being in your room on a dog bed, or in bed with you if you desire. She LOVES human touch, and affection so the closer she can be to her humans, the happier she is ❤️❤️❤️ She is leash trained; and does very well on her walks. She looks forward to any length of walks, however often she can get them 💕 She used to always stroll around her neighborhood with her prior owner proud to be by his side always ☺️ She is AMAZING with other dogs and cats alike. She has gotton along with every animal she has ever met, so if you have others at home she will be their instant friend. However, her TRUE joy comes from her people, and as long as she has them then she doesn't need another animal in the home. She is very Velcro to her people, so if you have the time, space, and love to give them Dutchess's heart will always be full ❤️❤️❤️ She is amazing on road trips around town, and LOVES her spa days with our groomer. She is NOT a barker, but will alert you of unfamiliar sounds (sometimes 😂) She is that friend you never knew you needed. She is always waiting anxiously for you to return home, let alone from another room in the house 😂 She is excited the moment she locks eyes with you again, every time. Dutchess has a beautiful heart, and truly loves with every single ounce of it. Once she knows you are there to stay in her life, she will be your absolute best friend. It was very hard for her when she had to say goodbye to her past owner, but he unfortunately was unable to care for her the way she deserved and he wanted her to have a better life so he reached out to us to take her in. Dutchess will be nervous when she first meets you, but she will warm up quickly and without doubt. She has a kind soul, just one that knows loss so she never knows one's intention in her life, so please know that we are looking for someone to come in and give her the patience, understanding, and unconditional love she will need to thrive in life again ❤️❤️ Her adoption fee along with its breakdown is on our website at https://www.breadoflifek9refuge.org/ at the bottom of her adoption listing at https://www.breadoflifek9refuge.org/post/dutchess. It covers her spay, (she was in heat so she had an in heat spay increase which required longer anesthesia time, iv fluids, and an antibiotic shot that was given to aid in the healing of her in heat spay.) It also covers her ear plucking they did/exam, dental exam (ears and teeth both were in great health!), her Vaccines, microchip/registration, and her exam with our vet who has officially cleared her to find a home all her own ❤️ And as always, it also contributes to the care involved in time she has been here with us, her grooming costs, and the training we have personally done with her ☺️ Pictures attached are of her before her spa day (I'll have updated photos soon so make sure to check back!)

We have a transport set up to leave SoCal on 11/16/24 to NorCal and OR. We would love to add Oliver to our trip for the right family❤️ Travel costs are in addition to his adoption fee. Travel costs/adoption fee are always due when we arrive in person with your new baby in hand ❤️ Meet Oliver 💙 He is a handsome, sweet, kind-hearted, package of LOVE in the form of a 12 lb dog! He turns 1 on November 20th 2024 (Yes, right around the corner!) He is neutered, microchipped, current on all vaccines, had an overall physical exam which included the plucking of the hair from his ears, along with a dental exam (both ears, and teeth were in great health,) and has offically been cleared to find a home all his own 🙂 He is leash trained, and LOVES his walks. He is always ready to stroll around the neighborhood or sit in front of a coffee shop and people watch while you enjoy your favorite hot beverage ☕️ He is a total charmer, and especially loves when folks lock eyes with his because that's the green light for possible pet rubs (if mom or dad approves of course!) He is crate trained, and currently sleeps in his crate at night peacefully and without any fuss whatsoever. He will also nap in there during the day, or happily goes in his crate if you need to step out for dinner, or our id the home for any reason. He is very well behaved, and always does what is asked of him. He is house trained, and will sit at the back door, patiently waiting for his person to notice that he needs to potty. If you have a dog door, I'm certain he will learn it very quickly so that he can go in and out on his own, but if you don't he won't mind, as he is very patient ☺️ He is PHENOMENAL with other dogs, and cats alike. He LOVES every single animal he has met in the time he has been with us, and even lived with cats prior to coming here to us that he loved very much. He is great with men, women, and children alike. He loves to play ball and will fetch toys for you 😊 He is NOT high energy whatsoever, but sure does love to play. He definitely mellows out and relaxes after a good play session 🙌 He loves to follow you around and see all that makes your world function. He will lay at your feet, or lounge near by if you are busy with dinner, or work. He is very easy going and has a go with the flow personality. He is very affectionate, and has a very understanding heart and will let you talk to him as if he understood every word. (Maybe he does it be a he knows he gets extra pets during our talks, but we don't mind one bit because it's easy to love him ❤️) He is great on road trips around town, and will happily be a part of every adventure you take him on. He is wonderful during his spa days and always welcomes our groomer with kisses, and a wagging tail. He is NOT a barker, and is overall very quiet, and calm ❤️❤️❤️❤️ His prior owners lived a very busy life with 5 kids under 5 😅 and while they LOVED Oliver immensely they just couldn't give him the time he deserved to live a rich and fulfilling life. They didn't want him to feel left out, and they knew that's what was happening and it broke their hearts so they reached out to us to take him in and find him the best home and family we could ☺️ His adoption fee is on our website at the bottom of his adoption listing at https://www.breadoflifek9refuge.org/post/oliver. It covers his neuter, general anesthesia, iv fluids, antibiotic shot given to aid in the healing of his neuter, his vaccines, his microchip and registration, exam with our vet (including his dental and ear exam), the plucking of the inside of his ears, and as always it helps cover the few months he has been here with us, and the training we have personally done with him 🙂
