Story
Bluebell is a happy adventurous girl ready to go anywhere with you! As a 3 year old Aussie/Border Collie mix, she is energetic, curious and very intelligent. She would do best with an active family who is interested in teaching her tricks and playing puppy games. Bluebell understands basic commands such as sit, wait, lay and tricks such as spin and rollover. She is also crate trained. Bluebell has lived with cats and gets along with them well but does want to play with them. A confident cat would make a much better sibling than a shy one. Bluebell loves other dogs. She would adjust well to a doggy sibling but needs close supervision at dog parks or on doggy play dates with new dogs as she can become overly excited. Bluebell will come with all her doggy gear including a crate, toys, leash and harness. Shes a very good dog, I unfortunately just do not have the time to give her the love and attention she deserves. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with questions. Thank you!

Story
She’s a whole person. She loves beef and will go bananas for salmon and cheese. She looooves the outdoors. Tongue and tail wagging all day long in the sun. She prefers to lounge outside in the yard, suns herself most of the day and then comes in to cool off. She a stickler for routine. Loves morning walks and as many walks as you’ll give her. She’s super curious and loves to chase and play. Not good with off leashing. She loves to play with other dogs but will tap out and step off on her own for some alone time. She loves playing with her owners once she’s bonded and gets to know them and enjoys one on one attention. Loves to come for some rubs and then step away, she likes to do things on her terms. Very husky type of husky! She loves to play hide and seek with you as well and to chase and be chased around. All around the most lovable doggie!

Story
Sun is a vibrant and loving 6-year-old dog looking for her forever home. Adopted as a puppy in Clarksville, Tennessee, she's traveled with us through big life changes - from Tennessee to Alabama, and now to Mountain View, California. Along the way, she's been a cherished part of our family, receiving plenty of love and care. Sun is sweet-natured, energetic, and thrives in the outdoors. She's always been excitable and full of life, making her a perfect companion for someone who enjoys spending time outside, whether on hikes, walks, or just relaxing in the yard. As much as we adore her, our growing family, including our 1-year-old daughter and plans for another baby, means that we can't give Sun the quieter, dedicated environment she deserves. She would do best in a calm home where she's the center of attention, with plenty of space and time to enjoy the outdoors.

Siberian Husky

Male, 4 yrs 5 mos
Mountain View, CA
Size
(when grown) Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
Details
Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Three years old, neutered, and was a rescue; it takes some time for him to earn your trust; he is strong and sometimes pulls on leashes when walking. He has typical stubborn husky behavior; no cats or small animals, and no kids under 14, please, due to his mouthy and nipping behavior, and his bite is strong; sometimes you will bleed if you force him, so do not! Always ask for his permission before patting him, especially when he is lying down, which is the most vulnerable position for an outdoor animal like him during his earlier life when he was left outside 24/7 in the yard with a lack of socialization and human interaction. He can stay by himself for around 4 to 6 hours, but remember that Husky is a pack animal, which is not recommended for more than 2 hours. When leaving him alone, you need to lock him outside or create a safe zone for him inside the house; just like most huskies, they will start to be destructive and chew when bored. Generally, after three years old, they will begin to calm down. He was never crate trained, rides decent in the car, but makes lots of exciting noise! Trial adoption is recommended; feel free to see if he fits your family, I need to find him a good home, so I do not mind taking him back if things do not go well with the adoption.

German Shepherd Dog Husky

Story
Redding is a handsome boy who requires a home that can help establish boundaries for him. Redding is house-trained and enjoys car rides, playing fetch, and playing in the water. He is also a regular in the shelter playgroups and does well with other dogs. Redding is a working dog who will benefit greatly from training and a savvy adopter or foster. He is two years old and is likely a Shepherd/Husky mix. Please help us save Redding by sharing his story. Observation comments: It takes time to familiarize and gain trust, so a slow introduction is recommended. This animal requires an experienced handler. It does not do well with sudden human approaches from all directions during the first meet-and-greet. Summary: Due to its size and strength, kids need to be supervised around the dog. This animal requires some space for himself, so do not approach without permission from the animal. Attempting to socialize with this animal is safe at a short distance away without constant, straight eye contact. If this animal acknowledges you, he will approach you naturally and accept your invitation. Once that happens, you will be his best buddy for life! Redding has a hit-or-miss personality. His German Shepherd is a bit picky, but he plays well in the boarding facility playgroup and has been tested at our partnered local boarding club. His personality will change with a calm, quiet, loving home over time.
