Hi, my name is Tootsie and I am a 7 month old, 15 lbs., spayed Jack Russell Terrier blend puppy. I am microchipped and up to date with all of my shots. I am an easy-going little girl, curious about everything. I enjoy car rides, walks in cool weather and snuggles. I enjoy playing with other gentle dogs and meeting new humans who become fast friends. It’s a big world out there and I will rely on you to help me grow into the best canine rescue ambassador ever! It may take me a few weeks to get acclimated to my new surroundings, the layout of my new home and the family routine, but I will do my best if you give me a chance. Always ready for a walk or new adventure, I am happy, cuddly and will thrive with positive reinforcement . I love playing, relaxing and napping. I don’t require mass amounts of exercise. I am more than happy to go on a stroll or car ride just as much as to lounge around in bed and watch tv with my humans. I am a goof! There’s not much I take too seriously. Besides treats. Treats are serious business! I will do just about anything for a treat. Even stuff I really don’t want to do, because treats are life. I will even sit when asked for a highly valued treat! Like chicken or steak! Yum!! Benji is a hoot! This playful fella has all the happy antics of a young pup, but the experience to know some basics to being in a home. Benji walks good on leash, has good house-training manners, and enjoys a good romp in the yard before settling in for the night. Benji is at a great size too, not too big or too small at 40 pounds. His lineage is a mystery, but we're guessing there might be some Retriever in there? Otherwise he's pure American Shelter Dog and 100% good boy. He has done well at the shelter hanging out with other dogs, but has shown jealousy tendencies when he's in a home, so he would do best as an only dog at home. Benji would be a great choice for someone looking for a friend that can still keep up on walks or hikes, but is over the puppy stages of things. Benji is approximately 6 years old and weighs 40 pounds. He's neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative, and current on all his flea/tick/heartworm preventatives! Interested in adopting?
