Story
Rowan is a 7 year-old, purebred, red merle Australian Shepherd. He is a beautiful blue-eyed boy who we adopted in 2018. Rowan is an extremely smart, loyal, obedient, and loving dog who struggles with situational reactivity and aggression. In a few cases now, this has escalated to nips and very minor bites. My husband and I moved from Michigan to Santa Barbara in 2023 so that I can pursue my PhD at the University of California, and are now living in a small, two-bedroom apartment. Further, I am currently pregnant and expecting twins who are due in early December. Sadly, we know that keeping Rowan in the home with two newborns is not feasible for us. We are really hoping to find him a new home where he can thrive and his behavioral problems can be safely managed. He does really well with grooming, the vet, & boarding- he loves the staff and is able to be around other dogs. Rowan does not come without his challenges, but he is an affectionate goofball who will love you forever.

Story
Favorite activities: playing tug, cuddling, sunbathing Quirks: sneezes when she's excited, makes a funny noise when she stretches, her ears fly in the wind Boop is a sweet, loving dog who only wants two things: to cuddle up next to you and to play tug. I got Boop a year ago, and she has brought so much joy and love into my life. Unfortunately, my lifestyle is too busy for her and she needs a quiet home with someone who will stay home with her most of the day. Like many shelter dogs she is mildly reactive, but she has improved a lot through training and has shown that in the right environment she is very calm. Her exercise needs are low, she is very happy with one short walk and a little play time each day. She does well at doggy daycare, but when she is with her people she becomes overprotective and needs slow introductions to new people and pets. She has a hard time with small children, she thinks their playing is fighting. She has lived with both other dogs and other cats.

Story
Meet Fred! Fred was born with a heart condition called congenital cardiac disease but don’t worry, this special guy’s heart is still full of gold and love to give. 💛 He’s currently living in a loving foster home, soaking up all the cuddles, playtime, and comfort he deserves while he waits for his forever family. Fred’s condition means he’ll need a little extra care, but that doesn’t slow him down from enjoying life and spreading joy everywhere he goes. We may not be able to fix his heart, but we can fill it with love and give him the best, happiest life possible. 🐾 Come meet Fred and see how quickly he’ll steal your heart. 💛
