Story
Meet Melony, a sweet and snuggly 2-year-old pup who’s ready to find her forever home! Recently spayed (on October 9th) and fully vaccinated, she was diverted from a trip to LA shelter after her owner could no longer care for her, and now she’s looking for a loving family. Melony is a belly-rub enthusiast and fetch superstar who thrives on one-on-one time. While she would be happiest as the only dog in the household, she does get along with calm dogs and could adjust to living with one or two canine companions given time and patience. Having spent most of her life away from the city, Melony is still getting used to urban noises like trucks and motorcycles, but making great progress in building her confidence on walks. This gentle girl would be in heaven with a big enclosed yard where she can safely run, ideally in a quieter area away from busy roads. To help build up her skills she is enrolled in boarding training program from Nov 11th-16th, after which she will be ready for adoption.

Story
I was surrendered to the pound by my family, which was a pretty devastating experience for me. I am very affectionate and attach very quickly to every person I meet. I do get attached so much that I don’t want to share you with somebody else and therefore, I may become protective. So, my foster mum tells me that I need a person who can be my leader, who will show me the way and help me to trust again. I am very smart and eager to learn. I am also great with dogs and I would just love it if I could live with a canine companion and have a yard to romp around in. I really don't need too much; just a new forever home — is yours available? If you are interested in meeting Jack Black, please download the Adoption Questionnaire, fill it out and email it back to us at info@farescue.org or fax (310) 362-0321. You can also meet this and/or other available dogs at our weekend adoptions. [Jack Black weighs 45 lbs.] (1504)

Story
Hi, I'm Goose. I had a hard start in life and was very isolated from the world in a yard with my siblings and parents, so I am tentative about new situations. I need a little time to warm up to new people, other pets, anything unfamiliar but I have enjoyed the company of a small dog, a cat, and the neighbor's young children at my previous home. Due to some neglect during puppyhood, I have some deformation on my front leg but I get around just fine, and my vet said not to mess with it because it's functioning and I'm not in pain. As is typical for my breed, I am quite intelligent. I catch on quickly to what you are asking of me and I am eager to please you. I am also very loyal and I will bond very deeply with my forever family. I would like to find a family that will let me live inside with them and give me lots of love and exercise for the rest of my long life. I hope it's not impossible. Will YOU consider me? If you are interested in meeting Goose, please download the Adoption Questionnaire, fill it out and fax it back to us at (310) 362-0321. You can also meet this and/or other available dogs at our weekend adoptions. [Goose is 4 years old and weighs about 80 lbs.] (1808/2206)

Story
Hi, my name is Roxy! I don’t know how, but somehow I went from living with my human companion to being in a really scary place called the pound. Lucky for me; I was rescued by a wonderful rescue organization, and now I am being taken care of by a super foster family. They can tell you that I love to cuddle and chill, I’m very good with kids, I’m house-trained, and I love my walks and behave perfectly. I’m okay with being around other dogs, but I’m happy to just be around my human friends. I would be so happy to find my forever home, so I could give you all the love I have in me! If you are interested in meeting Roxy, please download the Adoption Questionnaire, fill it out and fax it back to us at (310) 362-0321. You can also meet this and/or other available dogs at our weekend adoptions. [Roxy is 11 years old and weighs 8 lbs.] (2003/2406)

Story
I'm a chocolate lab, need I say more? Ok, well, until recently I was living with a nice man and another dog on a horse farm, but he became ill, and now I need a new home. I'm very easy to get along with, either on walks or just being lazy around the house, and I do like water. One night my foster even took me out on the town to a restaurant patio, and I was SO well-behaved and everyone loved me. I can live with another dog but I don’t like sharing my food with anyone, so you would need to feed me separately. I did say I was a lab, so you know my relationship to food, right? Haha! Don't know what else to tell you, I just sort of go with the flow, so maybe I'll go with yours, too? If you are interested in meeting Gunner, please download the Adoption Questionnaire, fill it out and email it back to us at info@farescue.org or fax (310) 362-0321. You can also meet this and/or other available dogs at our weekend adoptions. (2008/2402)

Story
I'm a very energetic, sweet girl who likes to be the center of attention. I like long walks and belly rubs. I'm a very good fetcher! I do well in doggie parks and on beaches. I loooooove hikes! I was made for those. I'm a very good listener, and very smart! That's what I've been told, anyway. I'm very good with kids and adults, but I don't like sharing my own home with other dogs too much. I like to show them who’s the boss! I would be great placed in a home with a back yard, with older kids and no other dogs. If you are interested in meeting Dakota, please download the Adoption Questionnaire, fill it out and email it back to us at info@farescue.org or fax (310) 362-0321. You can also meet this and/or other available dogs at our weekend adoptions. [Dakota's DOB is 11/24/18 and she weighs 60 lbs.] (2011/2306)
