Story
FOSTER CARE! Hi, I'm Thor! I'm a 1 year 11 month old, neutered male, Siberian Husky mix and I weigh 51 pounds. Have you ever wished for a dog with the personality of a cat? Well if you have, I'm your wish come true! I'm a sweet and playful boy but I'm not as vocal as most huskies! I like to take my time getting to know new people. Once I'm super comfortable, I love to run zoomies, play with toys and even jump into water! I love going on adventures but I also enjoy lounging on the couch! I have good car manners and I'm getting better with my leash manners. I can't help investigating when birds or squirrels run by. My ideal home would be with someone who is ready for a sweet, energetic pup and will take the time to help me overcome my shyness. Since I'm easily overwhelmed, I prefer a quiet but active home. I promise to be your best buddy, once I get to know you.  Thor ID# A938350 Since I’m not at the adoption center, you can make arrangements to meet me by emailing behavior@phs-spca.org You may also submit your fully completed Adoption Profile Form to behavior@phs-spca.org and a staff member will call you to conduct a phone interview before making an appointment to meet me in person. Story
Hi guys, I'm Dino! I am a 4 year old, 65 lbs., neutered male Pitbull mix, who's always the life of the party! I'm an energetic, outgoing fella that loves to be outside. All of my friends tell me how handsome I am! I am one rambunctious boy who loves to run, jump and play. I will need to work on my manners to curb that excitement a bit and I'm a boundary tester, but I love treats and can't wait to learn! I've been a rockstar at Nose Work and can sniff out all the goodies like a pro! I love being around people and already know how to sit if you offer me a treat. If you are looking for silly puppy hijinks in a bigger package, then I'm your boy! Dino ID# A939842 I recently went on a field trip with one of my PHS Volunteer friends! Here's how I did: Today I spent 2 hours with Dino on an off site adventure. He was hesitant to load into my car but quickly jumped in after a few treats. We drove a short distance to the Broadway, Burlingame, Pick of the Liter area and walked around. He did great, walking loose leash most of the time with occasional pulls if he smelled something interesting. He showed no reaction to other people walking around. We then went to Mills Canyon Park, parking at the Adiline Dr trailhead, we walked out and back on the paved access road portion of the park to avoid the mud from the recent rains on the main loop trail. After the hike, we spent some time in my small fenced yard in Millbrae. Dino got the chance to wander around then settled down and sat next to me, listening to the sounds of the neighborhood. Dino did great on the car rides, laying down after a few times in the backseat. He did show more interest in walking at new places compared to his usual route on Rollins.Unless otherwise indicated, adoptable animals are located at our Lantos Center for Compassion at 1450 Rollins Road, Burlingame, CA 94010.  You may call us at 650-340-7022 to schedule an appointment, or just drop by. FOSTER CARE! SEE ME AT SMILING DOGS!   Hello World! My name is Halle, I'm a 2-year-old, 40lbs, spayed female Siberian Husky who is ready play! I'm a joyful bundle of energy that can't help but bring a smile to your face with my silly antics. As you can see from my beautiful picture, I only have one eye but that doesn't stop me from leaping and bouncing all about. I would love to go home with a family that has experience with Nordic breeds like me and likes an fun, affectionate but independent lady. I LOVE playing with other dogs, but I have been known to get too rambunctious when I play which might be overwhelming for some dogs. Although I am as sweet at can be, my overall excitable nature can also bee too much for small kids. To make sure we are a match made in heaven, please be sure to introduce me to the entire household any resident dogs before I officially join your family. I can’t wait meet you! Halle ID# A940619  I recently went on a field trip with one of my favorite volunteers! Here's what they had to say: 'We went on a hike in Pacifica. She was easy to gear and really great in the car. There were lots of smells/birds/squirrels to keep her busy! She was friendly and curious towards all the people and dogs we passed on the trail. She’s an excellent hiking buddy! Story
Hi Everybody! My name is Snow White and I'm a 2-year-old, spayed pit bull that currently weighs about 53lbs. I'm a total love bug with people and have been called a very 'dog Happy' dog. Please be sure to bring in the entire household, including any resident dogs, to meet me prior to adding me to the family. I can't wait to say hello! I'm an excited, happy girl with tons of energy that loves to jump for joy when meeting new friends. I'm hoping for a family with adults only or families with older children that are familiar bully breeds like me and have experience teaching dogs how to share and be patient with treats. For more information about me, just ask Customer Service about Snow White! ID# A946068 I recently went on a field trip with one of my PHS Volunteer friends! Here's how I did: She was very vocal and excited when I entered her dorm, wiggling all over the place. She would sit when asked, so gearing up was not too difficult for me after the first minute of excitement. She was eager to load into my car but reluctant to get out. We drove a short distance to the Broadway, Burlingame, Pick of the Litter area and walked around. She was curious when seeing other dogs across the street but would resume walking after a brief pause. She was also VERY interested in the birds and squirrels she spotted, pulling, and trying to get closer to them. We then went to Mills Canyon Park, parking at the Adeline Dr. trailhead. We walked out and back on the paved access road portion of the park to avoid the mud from the recent rains on the main loop trail. She was pulling a lot, so I asked her to sit many times. With all the walking, pulling, sitting, and repeating, we did not get very far. After the hike, we spent some time in my small fenced yard in Millbrae. Snow White got the chance to look around but then was pacing around and looking for the exits. She did not settle down in my yard and got vocal, so we spent the remainder of the time walking around Millbrae. We drove through the carwash on the return trip to Lantos and she was amused by the experience.    Unless otherwise indicated, adoptable animals are located at our Lantos Center for Compassion at 1450 Rollins Road, Burlingame, CA 94010.  You may call us at 650-340-7022 to schedule an appointment, or just drop by. Story
Hello! My name is Charlie and I'm a 1 year old, neutered Boxer/Pitbull mix that currently weighs about 60lbs. I'm an active, energetic boy that is super treat motivated and very eager to please. I love running through agility courses in the yard. I'm a big love bug that's still working on my sharing skills and impulse control. I would prefer to live with a family that has experience with teaching pups how to share, who are also quite active, kids would be case by case. I'm a playful guy that loves going for walks and getting belly rubs from my favorite people. For more information about me, just ask Customer Service about Charlie! ID# A946468 My friends at PHS have been helping me learn better manners! Here's how they feel about my progress: Charlie is so good with his training plan. He knows sit, down, stay and usually roll over. He's very easy to walk with the Gentle Leader. Good boy! Story
Hello, my name is Peach and I'm a 2 year old, spayed, Pitbull mix that currently weighs about 60 lbs.  I may look big and strong but I'm a total softy, I'm an absolute lovebug that can't get enough pets and scratches. And don't worry I give the love right back with tons of doggy kisses. I'm whole package because not only am I sensitive but a silly, rowdy and fun girl as well.  I'm a rambunctious player and do well with equally excited and physically playful dogs, like me. I enjoy going to new places and playing in the yard as well as learning new things! The team here says I have and amazing 'sit', but I know I always ready to learn more.  I'm a rockstar at Nose Work class. I can sniff out treats like a pro! Peach ID# A947062 I recently had a sleepover with a PHS Volunteer! Here is how I did: The volunteer says I’m the sweetest girl who loves toys and does well on walks. I also discovered that even though my name is Peach, I love blueberries! If you throw treats into the air, I’m very good at catching them, and after a long day of being silly and adorable, I want to cuddle with my person until I fall asleep.
