Story
Meet sweet baby boy Thunder.. aka Romeo. Thunder is a 9 week old male Lab/Great Dane mix puppy. He was rescued by Labradors & Friends Dog Rescue when he was listed urgent at a county shelter. He had been adopted by a family but was returned after just a few days when he was diagnosed with parvo and the family could not afford treatment. Thunder is all better now and is thriving in his foster home. He shares a temp home with other dogs who he gets along great with. He is just a baby so he is amazing and will be a fantastic member of a deserving family/person. He was named 'Thunder', but we call him Romeo because he's such a love-bug. He gives endless puppy kisses and loves children and everyone he meets. He is a smart little guy and learning to go potty outside even at his very young age. Don't miss out on this fantastic squish-mellow faced little guy.. he will surely melt your heart when you meet him. For an adoption application, please visit www.labradorsandfriends.org website and click on THUNDER - you will see an adoption application to complete online. You can also reach me, his foster home with ANY questions you may have: Text/Call: 626-488-7487 OR Email: soniaramirez_2000@yahoo.com

Story
Meet our precious little hero Butterscotch. She is a Riverside Shelter survivor who was in danger for euthanasia due to having a seizure disorder. Butterscotch is a 1 year old Papillion/Corgi Mix and weighs about 12 lbs She’s a sweet girl with a beautiful smile and a beautiful spirit. She’s resilient and strong. We had her visit our vet for a thorough exam and testing. Good news is, they say there is a great possibility that she will grow out of her seizures (no guarantees). For the meantime, she has started treatment and they have been effective. She loves toys, she a social butterfly, she’s dog and cat friendly, she loves her walks, and enjoys time at the beach. She’s a happy girl with a beautiful spirit. She will bring her new family lots of love and joy. We are excited to help her find her new forever family. Adoption Interest applications are on our website www.jointhescars.org under “forms.”

Story
NOTE: We update our posts daily. If you are reading this, we are still accepting applications. We will NOT respond to "is he available" inquiries. Meet our newest hero Koda! Koda is an Australian Cattle Dog mix with possibly Bluetick Coonhound or Bluetick Beagle. He is a curious, spunky, and rambunctious pup. He is about 8 months old and weighs about 30 lbs. Vet thinks he will stay a medium sized dog due to his mix. He is sweet as can be! He absolutely loves to play with toys and currently shares his home with a Husky German Shephard mix; he does great with other dogs! Some of Koda’s favorite kinds of toys are thick rubber bouncing balls, any kind of tug of war rope and rubber toys with a squeaker! His favorite form of physical touch is a scratch on the head, behind the ears and then he’ll drop onto his back for a good belly rub. Koda is currently housetrained to use a doggy pee pad and since he lives in an apartment, he is in the process of being trained to potty outside during scheduled walks. Koda is a young boy who loves attention, cuddles, kisses, and is a good wrestling buddy. He would benefit from a yard to get out his daily zoomies in his next home. He currently understands the commands, “Sit”, “treat” and “leave it”. Koda is available to adopt. Adoption interest applications are found on our website www.jointhescars.org under forms. *PLEASE READ: Traditionally, we personally respond to each submission received. However, due to the current high volume of applications/adoptions, you will receive an acknowledgment/receipt email of your submission. Because we know each of our heroes personally and know the best setting for them to thrive in, we will ONLY contact applications that best match their requisite needs. We thank you in advance for your interest in adopting one of our heroes and for your patience through the process. Thank you for choosing to rescue!
