Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.**In order to get our large-breed dogs adopted, we asked for adoption sponsors to cover the adoption fees for a few of our big dogs, and Lincoln's fee is 100% sponsored by a Cause for SB Paws donor! Applicants are still subject to an interview, meet and greet, and it of course must be the right fit. But the adoption fee is covered!** Lincoln is another Cause Long-termer, and he has a problem. He’s a tennis-ball-junkie, and he just can’t stop. See his videos!  At just 10 mos old in March of 2020, he was a scared pup trying to survive on the streets of San Bernardino. We caught him and thought he’d find a home in no time. And here we are, 2023, and our ball-junkie Lincoln is still looking for a home! Looking for a buddy to go on endless adventures with? He loves to hike, swim, and explore nature. As you can see, he’s addicted to playing ball. He’s so much fun!in his foster home, he lives around big and little dogs, and os submissive. He is a bundle of energy, so other active, playful dogs or playful, active humans a must! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. This sweet 3 year old, 12ish pound girl is such a love once she gets to know you. Her trust and devotion are well worth the short wait a patient adopter may have. She came in with her sister, Thelma, and at first we thought they were bonded and needed to be adopted together. After some time acclimating and getting to know them, we realized they love each other but do not rely on each other. Louise would do well as an only dog with someone who is patient, gentle and home much of the time. She would also do well with another confident dog who could show her the contentedness of a loved companion animal. Only available for adoption in So Cal and an enclosed, safe yard is a must. If you're interested in Louise, please apply here .    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 3, 2024, 12:22 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. I know you're currently saying to yourself, 'this does not look like a Jack Russell mix'! Trust me when I tell you that she is! She just looks more like the boxer in her...like a tiny boxer! Thelma is really a sweet girl once she gets to know you. Earning her trust has been such a satisfying experience and so worth any time that it has taken. She is 3 years old and weighs around 18 pounds. She is a stocky little firecracker, which is one of her best traits but can also get her into trouble with some pups. She can be a bit of a bully to other females so she would do best with a male pup in the home or as an only dog to a human who is home much of the time. She arrived with her sister, Louise, and we thought they were bonded. But now that some time has passed, we realize that though they love each other, they do not rely on each other. Thelma is a quick learner and has done well with initial leash training. She will need to be adopted in the So Cal area and must have a secure backyard. If you are interested in adopting Thelma, please apply here . Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 3, 2024, 12:22 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.**In order to get our large-breed dogs adopted, we asked for adoption sponsors to cover the adoption fees for a few of our big dogs, and Keary's fee is 100% sponsored by a Cause for SB Paws donor! Applicants are still subject to an interview, meet and greet, and it of course must be the right fit. But the adoption fee is covered!** Beautiful Keary has been in rescue for over a year!! She's one of our top priority dogs right now because she deserves a home of her own, and time is running out of time in her boarder/foster home! She acts like a big puppy who LOVES to play. She is high energy and extremely smart. She was a stray in the San Bernardino mountains for several weeks, and once Mountains Humane Society was able to trap her, she had to go into boarding due to no foster homes. They reached out to rescues, and because one of our fosters stepped up, we were able to take Keary into Cause for SB Paws! It took her about a week in her foster home to fully trust, but now she loves everybody. Keary likes to play hard and while she knows to be gentle around certain dogs, she would do best with another large, high-energy fur-sibling. She has a Shepherd working dog temperament, so she needs lots of mental and physical stimulation. She loves to play fetch, do puzzle games, chew antlers, and thrives in her training sessions. Oh and LOVES water! See her video. :) She's very loving and seeks pets and kisses, but doesn't often snuggle, because she's always on the go! Keary is looking for a large-breed loving adopter. An active home a must. Keary does well with the pre-teens in her foster home, but still jumps up a lot, so she could knock over small children. If you're the fun-loving active family Keary needs, we'd love to meet you! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Apprx 6-7 year old White Knight lived with a group of 15 other dogs in the desert for several years after their owner died. A good samaritan visited the pack several times a week to make sure they had food, water, and shelter, and little by little White Knight and a few others learned to trust him. During the summer of 2021, we all hatched a plan to get White Knight, his buddy Old Man, and Persephone out of there. Since then, White Knight and Old Man have been living with trainer Doug Price to learn how to relax, enjoy life, and trust humans. They will always be a bit shy, but White Knight has shown so much progress! And he loves to play with other dogs, even though he shakes a bit at first (see his videos). So we are hoping to find White Knight a home! Someone with love, time and patience to give him to allow him to settle in at his own pace. Adopting White Knight will also open up room to help another desert dog, so please consider adopting this special guy! His details:•Age approx 6-7• Aussie shepard mix• Loves dogs of all sizes, prefers more submissive, but confident dogs. Will do best with 1 or more dogs• crate trained, not house trained• tolerates being on leash• nervous around people, likes having his ears scratched, has never shown aggression. He will let my 4 yo granddaughter pet him. • he wants to trust people and does have a happy side, especially at feeding times.
