🐾 Meet Nugget: The Loyal Couch Potato with a Sprinkler Obsession 🐾 Location: Lakewood, CA Not a fan of small talk or chaotic energy? Perfect—Nugget isn’t either. He’s the introvert’s dream bestie: chill, respectful, and always down for a peaceful walk (he’s got leash manners that would make your grandma proud). Nugget is a medium-energy dude who lives for the simple pleasures in life: ☀️ Sunbathing like he’s on a doggie vacation 🌱 Splooting and rolling in grass like it’s his personal spa 💦 Waging war with the sprinkler (and loving every minute) 🍖 Devouring snacks with Olympic-level enthusiasm He’s crate trained, knows his boundaries, and appreciates structure. Social butterfly? Not so much. More like a slow-burning candle of loyalty and love. Nugget takes his time getting to know you, but once you’re “his person,” it’s game over—you’ve got a full-blown cuddle bug on your hands. We’re talking lean-in-for-scratches, melty-eyed affection, and loyalty for life. Dog-friendly? You bet. Just give him time to warm up with proper intros and you’ll see him do the polite tail wag of approval. Sound like your kind of wingman? Fill out an adoption app at 👉 www.cabullyrescue.org/adopt 👈 Nugget's waiting to be your low-key ride-or-die.

Story
🌟 Meet Coco – The Fluffy Pitty with a Heart of Gold! 💛 Straight outta Kern County and straight into our hearts, Coco is a 6-year-old, 55lb bundle of pure sunshine who’s been living her best post-shelter life since August 14th! ☀️ We’re not totally sure what mix of magic she’s made of (seriously, your guess is as good as ours 😅), but one thing’s for sure — this “fluffy pitty” is 100% good vibes only. Coco is sweet as candy, friendly with other dogs, crate-trained, and struts her stuff on leash like she’s walking a red carpet. 🎬 She’s happiest when she’s with her people, soaking up cuddles and love like it’s her full-time job. 💕 She is in a loving foster home where she can keep shining bright until her forever family finds her. Could that be you? ✨ #RescueDog #FluffyPitty #AdoptDontShop #FosterLove #CaliforniaBullyRescue

**Meet Scrappy on Saturday, November 15th from 10 am to 1 pm at Dublin Petsmart west, 6960 Amador Plaza Rd.** Meet Scrappy! Scrappy is a sweet, gentle soul. He has bonded nicely with his foster family and loves to cuddle and be close to them. Upon meeting, he may take a few minutes to warm up but once he does, both of you will be in love. Scrappy is eager to please and quick to learn. He sleeps in his crate all night and can’t wait to greet you in the morning. He has great leash manners already and is working on his potty training skills. He enjoys bones and toys but he mostly wants to be close to his special people. Small but mighty, he holds his own and gets along with his foster dog brothers. Scrappy is neutered, microchipped and vaccinated. ## See videos of Scrappy at the end of the photo gallery! ## If you're interested in Scrappy, you can submit an application by clicking the "Apply For Adoption box " located below his photos on the right side. Story
Meet Bunny — the shelter’s former “most likely to steal your heart” AND a certified volunteer favorite! This compact little potato was running out of time, but we scooped her up just in time, and wow… are we glad we did. At 4 years old, she’s the perfect mix of playful fun without that wild puppy energy. Think: adventure buddy, couch cuddler, and snack enthusiast all in one adorable package. Bunny comes spayed, polished, and ready to roll. She even had a little chest lump removed during her spay — which turned out to be a mast cell tumor, but don’t worry! It was completely removed with clean margins, and she’s now living her healthiest, happiest life. Personality-wise? Bunny is a sunshine beam. Friendly, wiggly, and absolutely thrilled to meet new people. She also did great with other dogs in the shelter and seems especially well-paired with male pups. Basically: Bunny = A+ good girl. Come meet her and let her work her magic. 🌟🐾

Story
🌟 Meet Penny: The Mini Rottie aka Big Puppy with a Bigger Heart! 🐾 If sunshine could wag its tail, it would look a lot like Penny. She’s the ultimate big puppy — all sweetness, wiggles, and wide-eyed wonder. Penny’s hobbies include: being your shadow, turning every couch cuddle into a full-contact sport, and trying to figure out how her very large body fits in small, cozy spaces (spoiler: it doesn’t, but she tries anyway). Penny is still learning the ropes of the big, exciting world — things like “don’t jump up when excited” and “food doesn’t magically appear faster if you spin in circles.” She’s making amazing progress, though, and her eagerness to please makes her a total training rockstar. She’s doing great with crate time and potty training, and she’s quickly learning that good girls go outside (and get treats for it!). 💤 Sleeping arrangements: She’ll happily snooze in her crate overnight and chill there for a few hours if you’re nearby. Being left alone still makes her nervous, but she’s working on that — she just loves her people that much. 🐶 Dog friends: Penny adores other pups — big, small, scruffy, fancy — you name it. Her play style is “gentle chaos,” meaning she might bump into things (and friends) but it’s all love and no malice. She’s respectful of corrections and would do great with another confident dog buddy who doesn’t mind a little puppy enthusiasm. 🍗 Food: Penny LOOOOOVES food (all caps necessary). She’s polite about it, though — no food aggression here, just lots of joyful tail wags and hopeful eyes. 🚶‍♀️ Walkies: She’s learning the art of the leash. Big trucks and loud noises are a bit spooky, but with patience and snacks, she’s gaining confidence every day. 💖 Personality snapshot: Expert cuddler and professional shadow 🩷 Silly “splooter” with world-class head tilts Part-time gymnast (you should see her jumps!) Full-time love bug who just wants to be close Penny’s the kind of dog who will make you laugh every day and melt your heart every night. She’s got the sweetness of a teddy bear, the enthusiasm of a toddler on a sugar rush, and the soul of an old friend. If you’re looking for a goofy, snuggly, endlessly loving companion — Penny’s your girl. 🌈🐾

Story
Meet Mia - The one, the only, the miracle mutt! This 38 pound cutie was past due for euthanasia and was saved in the nick of time #euthlistsurvivor. At just 2 years old she has a heck of a lot more life to live! Mia loves to start her day off by giving her people lots of love and wiggles. As soon as you start walking towards her food for breakfast you can expect her dancing to begin. It’s guaranteed to make you smile! While Mia is protective of the home, she is a very chill princess inside! She loves watching tv (yes full on invested in plots and all) and laying on the couch with her ball. Anything Food Network is sure to grab her attention. She is a very silly girl who loves to play and chew on her toys (certified super chewer). If you need some comedic relief, she’s the girl for you. No furry roommates please - Mia is her best self when she’s the only pet around. Kids? Mia loves meeting them but is best suited for a house with kids ages 10+ only due to her playful, jumpy personality. Mia is still working on her leash training. While she does deal with heightened anxiety outdoors, the right person can help her feel at ease. Mia has a super stylish pink muzzle that protects her #gooddogswearmuzzles or her favorite ball will do the job to keep her mouth occupied when she gets spooked. Her trainer verified that it’s more than just a ball, it’s her anxiety relief. A calm neighborhood or open park is the ideal place to walk Mia - busy streets and complexes can be overwhelming for this shelter survivor. Mia needs a slow introduction to all men - but once you prove your good intentions you’ll win her heart over. Bonus Features: - Potty and grass pad pro - Crate trained! She will snooze if you have to leave the house for a few hours - Part time doorbell + full time cuddle bug If you’re looking for a loyal companion, a genuine sweetheart, and someone to make you laugh you need to give Mia a call! She is currently being fostered in sunny Orange County, California and is taking applications for her forever human!
