Story
Meet Dorinda, a gorgeous white American Pit Bull Terrier mix with a zest for life and love to share! Though she’s deaf, that doesn’t hold her back one bit — she’s full of energy, curiosity, and enthusiasm for every new day. Dorinda is an active girl who enjoys walks, adventures, and quality time with the people she loves. She’s affectionate with familiar faces, great in the car, and does well meeting new people and dogs. She’ll need an adopter who lives an active lifestyle and is excited to continue her training using hand signals and positive reinforcement — she’s a smart learner who’s eager to please! Dorinda does like to have her food all to herself, so mealtime privacy is appreciated. With patience, consistency, and love, she’ll thrive and shine as the loyal, joyful companion she’s meant to be. If you’re looking for an adventure buddy who listens with her heart instead of her ears, Dorinda is ready to start the journey with you. 🐾

Story
Meet Summer 🌞🐾 Summer is a sweet young adult Pitbull mix with a mostly white coat and a few special markings — including one adorable brown ear. When she first arrived at the shelter, she was extremely shy and shut down. Thanks to the patience, love, and care of staff and volunteers, she has blossomed into an affectionate dog who loves nothing more than cuddles and treats. With strangers, Summer can still be a bit reserved at first, but a handful of treats is usually all it takes to win her over. She walks nicely on leash, has shown no signs of leash reactivity during her time with us, and enjoys calm strolls by your side. During her dog-to-dog evaluation, Summer was neutral and seemed new to being around other dogs. By the end of her session, she began showing more interest and curiosity. If you have another dog at home, we strongly recommend bringing them in for a meet-and-greet to ensure it’s a good fit. Summer is looking for a patient and loving family who will continue to help her build confidence and show her just how wonderful life can be. Could that family be yours? 💕
