Story

Hi! My name is Loki! I’m a darling brown brindle French Bulldog, approximately 1 yr of age and 26 lbs. My foster Mom says I’m a bundle of fun! I love all people and every dog I meet, so it’s pretty hard not to love me! I get so excited that my usual greeting is some pretty impressive jumping (my foster Mom says it’s not good for me to do that so I’m learning to control myself, but it’s hard)! I’m a happy, friendly, active boy and I keep busy just being busy. Whether exploring the yard/house, playing with toys, or my favorite thing which is playing with my doggie friends, you will find me doing something all the time. I’m always ready to go with you and down for doing anything fun. I’m crate trained and sleep quietly through the night (after some good bone chewing). I’m still working on my house training. I’m getting the hang of it as long as you take me out frequently to go, but I will need continued training. I’m good on leash (although I need reminders not to pull) and I love going on my daily walks. I’m such a ‘people dog’ and really just love being with my humans… belly rubs are a major plus!! My favorite thing is playing with other doggie friends. I’m good with dogs of all sizes as long as they can handle my exuberance and play style. My ideal home will have another young dog to match my energy and play. I have no experience with kids and due to my exuberance and mouthy play my new home should not have children under 7 yrs of age. Although I’m a very healthy boy (per my veterinarian) my breed comes with certain predisposed medical issues so my new family should be well aware of these issues and the costs involved with owning my breed. My adoption fee is reflective of the high costs of neutering this breed…adoption fees include health examination, current basic vaccinations, neuter, microchip, flea and deworming treatment along with any other medical/dental deemed necessary by our veterinarian.

Story

Duke is a love bug male Terrier/Chihuahua mix, born 7/8/2012. This big love bug is just that, he is full of cuddles and rubs. He loves to play with you or chew on his cow hoove. Duke does not really like being around other dogs, he wants you to himself, but he will tolerate them. We think that he was kept outdoors most of the time because he will not stay outside for long periods of time without you; he loves being in the house with you and his family. Duke will just come up to you and lie next to your feet and hope to get some loving from you; he really is hoping to get his belly rubs. Duke is just starving for love and attention and he really deserves it because he is a great dog; we do not think that he got much of it before. He sleeps well in his crate and loves to sleep near your bed. He is housetrained on the potty pads and always uses them, but he will also go outside using the doggy door. If you have children he would like them to be 10 years of age or older so that they will not be so rough on him. He does not like to be left at home all day alone, being alone for a few hours would be fine or a stay at home parent would be great for him, or even another dog. Duke was extremely heavy when we got him and he has lost a lot of weight, just playing in the backyard with his foster or the other dogs. He has learned how to walk with a leash, but he needs a harness on him or he will pull the collar right over his neck. Duke is ready to go to his new home and get lots of love from you and in return you will get more love then you ever would want. SECURE FENCING REQUIRED FOR ALL OF OUR RESCUED DOGS. Most of our dogs require a 6 foot fenced yard. Yards must be cleared of any fox tail weeds. The adoption donation is cash or check. We will follow up on the dogs well-being within 30 days after the adoption to make sure that they are happy and thriving. We do adopt small dogs to apartments or condo and need to see pictures of the patio or balcony area. If you rent, please bring copy of your lease to show you can have pets and any size restrictions. We do not adopt to homes with children under the age of five (5) unless we know the history of the dog with young children. All Children MUST be present at adoption. Chata ( short for Horchata) was named by my son because of his white with tan markings. Chata and his sibs were rescued at a homeless camp at 1mo old. My son took Chata we cared for him, soon realized he had a very sweet disposition, playful; silly, loves to cuddle. We already had 2 small, older dogs, Chata likes them but they can’t be bothered. Chata knows a few commands understands well; is very trainable. My son had to move, can’t have pets in the home. Chata needs to be with someone/family who can give him the attention he needs and deserves for an active dog. He is 1 yr, 10mos, @68 lbs. I know Chata will bring much joy, love & smiles to your family! ❤️

Snow has been my dog for five years and has been such a sweet and loving companion. Unfortunately she has been aggressive towards my smaller dog and they no longer get along. She makes me nervous around my two year old son because she can be territorial over her toys, bed and food. I want to be completely transparent so anyone who's considering adopting her knows her behavior. She is a very smart dog who loves to be vocal. She loves to climb up mountains and go swimming in the lake. She is a mellow dog at home unless you mention a treat or car ride start talking to you, it is absolutely adorable! I really wish I could keep her in my family but I don't trust her. I think she would do really well with someone who doesn't have any other pets or young children.
