Story
Bronx was adopted from the Humane Society of Silicon Valley (HSSV) on April 23, 2023. He was 11 weeks old and weighed 9.20 lbs. and presumed to be a Border Collie Mix but staff was unsure what he was mixed with. Since his adoption he has completed the required Puppy Training course provided by HSSV while also receiving continued training by his family. Bronx is potty trained, knows the basic commands (sit, stay, leave it, etc..) but could benefit from more extensive and regular training and strong leadership from pack leader or family. Bronx loves to run, fetch and socialize with other dogs and people. He has been trained to be both on and off leash and responds to commands when off leash; but keep in mind he's still a puppy and sometimes gets distracted and may need commands repeated. Bronx also can get a little over excited when it comes to meeting other dogs and people and may jump on them or at them to greet them. This is something that will need continuous work to be corrected.

Story
Hank is a 3 1/2 year old 100 pound pure Bred black lab. At home he can be sweet, lazy, and loving and goofy- or he can have lots of energy and needs you to throw the ball for awhile. The problem we have with Hank is that we live in an area where people are constantly walking by with dogs and Hank is very protective of our house and us. He needs to be in a more quiet house with a tall fence He can be aggressive with other dogs on off leash but he can also be totally fine and play well-he is unpredictable.

Please contact Lucinda (lucinda@northbaycanine.org) for more information about this pet.North bay Canine Rescue and Placement  707-776-6855 or write: lucindalnf@gmail.com Cooper is a 3.5 year old (as of 12/2020), male, Pit bull mix.  He is loves people and wants to please. He has a lot of energy and a high prey drive.  He is selective about the dogs he lives with so we recommend him to be an only dog and no dog parks.  He's medium in size, but extremely strong in muscle, hence could knock a child or frail person off balance with his exuberance &  enthusiasm.  To fill out our adoption application please go here: http://northbaycanine.org/adopting-from-north-bay/ Call: 707-776-6855 or write: lucindalnf@gmail.comJuly 1, 2024, 3:06 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Female basset hound mixBella’s owner, who has provided good care for her, needs to surrender Bella because of her increasing work responsibilities. Bella is a 49-pound spayed female, approximately 6+ years old and is a basset mixed with some other breed. She is up to date on all her vetting, house trained, microchipped,  and is in good health. Bella is shy and fearful of strangers, at first, but after warming  up, she loves attention and affection. She is hesitant around other dogs, slowly becoming comfortable and might play a little, but otherwise keeps to herself. Bella pulls when on leash and barks and lunges at other dogs when on the leash with her owner. She is best with dogs of similar size or larger and has never had issues with other dogs when attending day care. She has no experience with cats nor much experience with children. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 1, 2024, 11:36 pm
