Story
Percy has been at the shelter for over a year! He is a wonderful dog, but is being overlooked because there are so many huskies at the shelter right now. Percy is a young, spunky, playful husky that loves toys and treats. He is sure to keep you entertained and will keep you laughing and smiling all day! Percy came into the shelter with some young puppy antics, but has gotten much better with his manners over time. He would be a great dog to keep you active and would do well with training or agility work. Percy has a lot of energy at the shelter, but he is in a kennel most of the day, so he will likely be a bit more calm when he has more exercise and attention. Come meet this adorable 3 year old husky by calling (805) 781-4400 to make an appointment or stop by during open kennel hours Monday-Saturday 1:00-5:00 and until 7 on Wednesday evening

Story
Hi! My name is Onyx. I am a big, beautiful, male German Shepherd mix. I have a lovey gait and a beautiful fluffy tail. I am really something, if I do say so myself. There is something so regal about me. You can`t tell it from my photo where I am sitting on some dude`s foot - so maybe I have a doofy side too! I have some drive, but not for fetch. Mostly I like to hang out with my people - a well know German Shepherd trait. I would love an active home - walks, runs maybe even bike? I am smart too. So maybe dog sports, if that is your game. I do have a history or chasing livestock and not in a friendly way so a home with secure fencing and no goats to catch my interest is a must. Please come out to San Luis Obispo Animal Services to meet me. You will not be disappointed! 885 Oklahoma Ave SLO between 1-5 Monday through Saturday. Or call for an appointment 805 781 4400

Story
Dexter is a spirited 2-year-old Queensland Heeler with a beautiful tan and white coat. He was surrendered by his previous owner but is now ready to find his forever home. Since arriving at the shelter on March 23, 2024, Dexter has shown that he’s full of energy and eager to explore the world.Dexter is a strong boy who loves his walks, though he’s still learning how to stay calm on a leash. He’s a smart dog who knows how to sit and is getting better every day at doing it on command. Dexter absolutely loves to play fetch—his eyes light up at the sight of a ball, and he’s always ready for a good game. He would thrive in an active household that can provide the structure, exercise, and playtime he craves. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who’s up for any adventure, Dexter is your guy! Come meet him at the San Luis Obispo County Animal Services and see if he’s the perfect match for you!
