Story
I'm Flash Gordon, a 4-year-old, short, stocky male American Staffordshire Terrier mix who weighs 91 pounds. Housetrained, I am very happy, playful, like to be active, am on the shy side, love to hang on the sofa with you, and can be silly and goofy. I live with a family with another dog and TLRD did this thing they called a 'cat test.' I passed, whatever that means. They are super awesome - they have taken me on lots of trips, like to Morro Bay or up to the mountains. I really like those trips and I love to have a job to do. I also like to be protective and need to learn that it's not my job - it's the human leaders' job. Are you up for that? I hope so!November 4, 2024, 8:32 pm

Story
Meet four year old, 19 lb, adorable Terrier mix, Lucas. Lucas is a funny pup, who came to us from a hoarder. He is a sensitive boy. Lucas is on anti-anxiety medication due to his fear of new people and loud noises. Yet, he is extremely active. Once you spend time with him, he will learn to trust you, and should make a great companion in a quiet home. Lucas loves to play with toys and some dogs. Lucas displays pure joy when he is playing with a favorite dog. He can be a high jumper. Lucas needs a home with another dog due to his anxiety. Lucas can be stubborn on walks. He will need a strong but sensitive leader. Lucas accidentally bit the vet when coming out of anesthesia after his neuter surgery. Because of this unfortunate incident, he will need an adult only home, with a behavior waiver. Lucas will never be a dog that you can take everywhere with you. Yet, he will give you years of joy in your home. Apply at adoptocpets.org/adopt

Story
Jessie is drop-dead gorgeous and a total sweetie pie. In photos, she looks like a big husky, but she's actually a petite little 44-pound, pocket sized bestie. Jessie is one-of-a-kind! Around 3 years old, Jessie is good with big dogs, but does not prefer the company of little dogs or cats. Her fur is so soft, when you hug her it's like hugging a cloud! She's looking for an active home with a pack leader. When she likes you, she will give you the paw of approval, sealing the deal: you're now one of her people. Don't even get us started on her eyes! Love blue eyes? Brown eyes? She has the best of both worlds! Jessie has been at the shelter or stuck in boarding for half her life. She needs a foster or forever home!November 4, 2024, 8:32 pm

Story
Ready to be loved unconditionally, go on long walks, pet me, love me, and get up again tomorrow and do it all over again? Then I, Lucy, am your gal. I am 7 years old, 65 lbs., and filled with fantastic qualities! One of the most important is that I love to get (and give) love and affection. I just want to be around my human(s) and go on walks or long hikes. I get soooo very happy when I see my foster mom put on her shoes and get the leash out – I do zoomies and get very chatty about how excited I am to be going out to explore! I am a good listener too. I have all the best qualities of my breeds; loyal, affectionate, obedient. I know my human keeps me safe; I still like to let her know when someone is approaching just in case she isn’t paying attention. She always is and she tells me to be quiet and I instantly am. Did I mention that I just love to be around my human family? I would do best in a home with older kids I think, little ones can be scary...At night I sleep in my crate and I know when my bedtime is, so my foster mom does not even tell me to go to bed. Oh! And I love chest and belly rubs, lots and lots and LOTS of belly rubs. You will often catch me on my back, full belly showing and tail wagging wildly! AND I am housetrained! Would you like to meet me? I would love to meet you! Lest you think I am perfect, I do have one minor flaw. Kitties. I just don't want them in my life, thank you. I get along with dogs OK, but in my world, the best possible thing would be for me to be your one and only bestie. Deal? If so, please apply to meet me today!November 4, 2024, 8:32 pm

Pug Boston Terrier

Male, Adult
Lake Forest, CA
Size
(when grown) Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
Details
Good with dogs, Not good with cats, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
He just wants to be with his humans, is a good companion, and is quirky and stubborn but can make you laugh because he is so weird. He loves all food and car rides. Would be good with a senior and someone who likes to cook.' Also, Buddy Lou “brings his personality to the table!” - Buddy Lou's Foster Mom. Now, how can you say no to that!?Buddy Lou is a 6.5-yr-old Pug/Boston Terrier who loves his people, is crate trained, and knows place. He typically looks to his people for direction and knows to wait. Super happy, 29-pound Buddy always has a smile. Buddy also never met a snack he didn't like. To maintain his svelte physique, which is important to keep his back healthy, he eats a high fiber diet of raw veggies and weight maintenance dry food. Don't let that description fool you...he loves them! He also takes supplements for his joints and back. Buddy Lou just really wants a forever home with someone who will take good care of him and keep him as happy, healthy, and loving as he is right now. He’d do best in a home with older children (teens) and would thrive as an only dog. Want to meet this little guy? Fill out an application today!November 4, 2024, 8:32 pm
