Story
Meet Molly (you may remember her as “Rita”) – a gorgeous black Shar-Pei with a heart full of love and just enough wrinkles to prove she’s wise beyond her years. Through some very sad circumstances, Molly has found her way back to Pei People, this time with her brother, Baron, by her side. We promised her that this next chapter will be the one where she finally finds her forever. Molly is a sweet, slightly timid girl who tends to favor women at first—but don’t worry, gentlemen, she just needs a little extra time to warm up. She was deeply attached to her previous mom and is already showing brave progress in bonding with her foster mom. With patience, kindness, and a few snacks, she’ll be your loyal shadow in no time. Like many Shar-Pei, Molly has a few skin issues, but this girl takes it all in stride. She hops right into the shower for her medicated baths like a pro, happily soaking up the extra scratching and lathering—it’s basically spa day in her eyes! Molly may be petite in confidence right now, but her love is enormous. With a gentle hand and a big heart, she’ll reward her forever family with loyalty, snuggles, and a daily dose of Shar-Pei charm.December 1, 2025, 3:01 pm

Story
Honey (she goes by Dolce, but we have another dog also with that name) came from a home with far too many dogs that overwhelmed the owner. Honey is 43 pounds, is recently spayed and is microchipped and up to date on vaccines. Honey is being treated for an ear infection, and is on some high quality food and fish oil to clean up her skin. She is a typical female, who can get a little growly around strangers poking and prodding (not a fan of the vet but manageable), but has lived with other dogs and kids with no issues. Her coat is cleaning up slowly with good food and some antibiotics. She came to us with a pretty patchy coat. Honey is the princess, preferring inside to out (she is completely housetrained, but just doesn't want to hang out in the yard otherwise). She is quiet, not a big barker and likes to give kisses and hugs. Honey is fostering in the Indio, California area. If you are looking for a pair, Royce came from the same home.December 1, 2025, 3:01 pm

Story
Camilla is a gorgeous cream shar-pei mix and this girl landed in the shelter after being abandoned in an RV with other dogs. Cami has lived with other dogs, but we've found she would do best as an only dog or a with neutral or submissive male dogs. She is very good with people, and apparently has seen the world (or maybe US) by car/travel. Camilla is about 4 years old, is spayed and had entropion eyelid surgery and has all her vaccines and a microchip. She is about 45 pounds. She is fostering in the San Francisco area and we will post more as we learn it.December 1, 2025, 3:01 pm

Story
Meet our distinguished Baron, a true connoisseur of the finer things in life like long naps in sunbeams, gentle ear scratches, and not lifting a paw more than necessary. He is the definition of low-maintenance: calm, sweet-natured, and perfectly content to just be near his people.   At his age, he has traded zoomies for snoozies, and honestly, who could blame him? This older fellow carries his lumps and bumps with dignity - his doctors say they are cancer, but he hasn't let that dim his spirit. He is still full of love and ready to pour it into the lucky family who opens their home to him.   Bath time? He's a champ. Nail trims? Not a problem. In fact, he is about as close to spa-day perfect as it gets! Who doesn't love a dog that's both sweet and cooperative?   He may not have forever, but Baron has got right now, and right now he's  dreaming of a cozy spot to call home, where he can soak up sunshine, affection, and all the love he so deeply deserves.   This wrinkly-faced gentleman is proof that sometimes the most perfect companions come with a little extra character and a whole lot of heart.   December 1, 2025, 3:01 pm

Story
We are moving out of state for work and unfortunately can not take him with us. Bruno is a boxer/german shepherd mix and is 5 years old. He is very intelligent but the boxer side takes over when he gets excited. He is very protective of family and is initially anxious when meeting new people so positivity will help him adjust. He has a lot of energy but can also laze around all day. Not selling just want him to go to an active and loving family.

Story
Meet Donette: Your Wrinkly Walking Companion! Looking for a leash-walking superstar with adorable rolls for days? Say hello to Donette, a charming shar-pei who's ready to trot into your heart! This spayed, microchipped, and fully vaccinated lady has mastered the art of the neighborhood stroll—though fair warning, she's got some serious prey drive when it comes to cats on the run! What Makes Donette Special: • __Perfect Leash Manners__ (after the initial excitement wears off!) • __Crate Trained Pro__ – sleeps like a dream and eats her meals politely in her den • __Gentle Treat Taker__ with zero food aggression • __Easy-Going for Grooming__ – ears, paws, tail? No problem! • __Dog-Friendly__ (with proper introductions) and currently living harmoniously with other pups. She much prefers the calmer dogs in the home and avoids the rambunctious puppish dogs (so annoying!) Donette's Dream Home: This sweet girl thrives in a calm, adult-only household where she can decompress and build confidence at her own pace. She's still learning that toys are fun and would love a patient family who understands that unpredictable movements and loud noises make her nervous (hence no small kids). Give her space around her head, and she'll reward you with loyalty and companionship! __Ideal Match:__ Adults or older kids only, no small children, cat-free home, patient dog lovers who appreciate a work-in-progress with tons of potential! She is probably a one person dog. Ready to give Donette the peaceful, loving home she deserves? She's waiting to meet you! She is fostering in Southern California (San Bernadino county).December 8, 2025, 7:58 pm
