Story
Honeybun is a 13 yr old, loveable, sweet senior Chihuahua. She gets along with other dogs, cats & children. She enjoys car rides, walks, cuddling. She had a complete physical exam recently & is very healthy, has all her current vaccines. She is partially housebroken (goes on pee pads). She is not spayed because she has a heart murmur which she has had her whole life & it has not affected her quality of life, but it complicates a surgical procedure like spaying. Honeybun will make someone a wonderful, loyal companion, please help me find her forever home. Thank you!

Story
Although Sosa is a large dog , he is very sweet and loving. We are looking to rehome Sosa to someone without other pets. We feel he would do best as the only dog in the household. Sosa is a relaxed dog , but does enjoy getting his workouts in. He loves playing outside, tug of war , and playing fetch. We are willing to have Sosa go through a full training program before he goes to his new home. If you’re interested in being Sosa’s new companion and giving him a new home , feel free to ask any questions you may have .

Story
Frankie is a 2 year old French Bulldog. He has grown up alongside 3 of my children and our rabbit. Frankie is house broken, chipped, and neutered. He has been through beginner and intermediate training through petco. He still needs to be socialized with other dogs. He knows various commands, sit, stay, down for lay down. He plays fetch as well. Frankie is a cuddler and will follow you around the house. He is crate trained and is potty trained through the night if you choose to have him sleep at the foot of your bed. We do allow him on the couch with us, he is a lap dog. Frankie’s bad habits, barking at other dogs, needs to be socialized, he walks on a leash and will pull if you let him but is receptive to commands. He is also obedient during long car rides. Due to my busy work schedule I no longer have the time to care for him the way he deserves. It breaks my heart to have to let him go. But I have to choose my family first.

Lundy

Australian Shepherd Labrador Retriever

Female, Adult
Lakewood, CA
Size
(when grown) Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
Details
Good with kids, Not good with dogs, Not good with cats, Needs special attention, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Lundy is a mixed shepherd. We adopted her from a rescue with another puppy. She is 3 1/2 years old. She is particular about certain people especially strangers but she has never bitten anyone. About 6 months ago we adopted another puppy and that’s when things changed. She has attacked her sibling 3 times since we got the new puppy. We think it might be protective instincts. We have tried everything to fix this problem but Nothing has worked. We just think she needs to be in a home by herself. She is so loving towards us and it just breaks our hearts that we have to give her up. She doesn’t require a lot of exercise. She loves to walk around the block and just lay in the couch. We would prefer she be an indoor dog. We have a doggy door that she freely can go in and out of. She wouldn’t get into any trouble if you have to leave here for periods of time. She is unable to do extra activities cuz she’s had a knee revision . She feels secure in a crate.

Benny

St. Bernard

Male
Bellflower, CA
Size
(when grown) X-Large 101 lbs (46 kg) or more
Details
Good with kids, Not good with dogs, Needs special attention, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Handsome 2-year-old Benny has a long list of very admirable qualities! He behaves perfectly at home, does not counter surf, sits & waits for his meals & is not a heavy drooler. A mellow, affectionate boy, Benny is content to stay quietly by your side if you work from home as the only dog. Although friendly with some dogs, Benny is sometimes "dog selective" & we feel he should be the only dog at his new home. Benny looks forward eagerly to his daily walks but won't require an intense amount of exercise. He rides well in a car & is not destructive. He sleeps through the night & is housebroken & neutered. A great match would be a loving "Saint Bernard savvy" adopter looking for a fluffy love bug & willing to devote time, continued training & leadership in exchange for limitless snuggles, love & devotion from Benny. If you are interested in Benny, please complete an adoption application on a laptop or desktop ( not a cell phone). https://www.sunnysaints.org/our-adoption-process.html

Buckey

St. Bernard

Male, Adult
Bellflower, CA
Size
(when grown) X-Large 101 lbs (46 kg) or more
Details
Good with dogs, Needs special attention, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Lord Buckingham "Buckey" was pulled from a Central CA shelter. He had ticks, was emaciated, and could hardly walk without looking like he would fall over. Even so, he would give tentative tail wags. After a few months in foster, not only is Buckey feeling better, but he is also a true gentleman with an amazing kind heart. He’s recovered from tick caused anemia, and emaciation. He has had broken teeth fixed, neutered, and gastropexy. He does have some hip & elbow dysplasia that will need to be monitored. Behaviorally, he loves to love and be loved. He is good with other dogs, but let’s be honest, he would rather be with humans. He doesn’t realize he is a dog; he loves it when you talk to him, and he will look straight into your eyes to let you know that he is paying attention. The drawback to wanting to be always with his person is that Buckey does have a little bit of anxiety when he can’t see you, but as soon as he knows you’re there, he’s totally fine. The more time you spend with him, the more special you will learn he is. We estimate that Buckey is 2-3 years old, housebroken, up to date on vaccinations, and currently being fostered in San Diego, California. Please consider adopting this wonderful, kindhearted boy.
