Story

We adopted Misty from the Dublin animal shelter on 10/10 with her brother Cosmo. Unfortunately we did not know about Littermate Syndrome. Though these sweet pups are not displaying symptoms as of yet, it is near impossible to avoid and we are not equipped to make the extreme accommodations to prevent it. Misty has a very strong personality. She is very sweet and wants to please. We have are half way through her puppy obedience training and she is the star of her class. So far Misty can sit, focus, and leave it fairly well. She still has a lot of husky puppy energy. We are working on our greetings. She gets so excited, it is hard to contain the excitement and she does tend to jump and also has a bit of excited dribble. So far, Misty does great with all dogs she has ever met, she is wonderful with kids (we have a 7 and 10 yr old) and is an overall very well behaved sweet girl.

I work longer hours and my children are gone half the time so Gracie is alone for sometimes 15 hours a day and then straight to her crate for the evening. This sweet girl deserves more human connection and she's desperate for it. Please consider giving Gracie another chance with an owner who has more time to spend with her.

This is Wawa, my 3-year-old Pembroke Corgi. I’m looking for a new home for him, as I can no longer care for him the way he deserves. Wawa has been such a loving companion, and I’m hoping to find him the perfect family who can give him the time, love, and attention he needs. Wawa is full of energy and loves to play! Whether it’s running, fetching, or just exploring, he’s always up for an adventure. He’s potty trained, neutered, and up-to-date on all his vaccinations. He’s a real snuggle bug once he’s comfortable with you, and he’ll happily curl up next to you for some downtime. Wawa can be protective of his food and toys. He’s not aggressive all the time, but if you try to get near him when he’s eating or playing, he’ll get a bit defensive. Because of this, I think he’d do best in a home where someone has experience handling this type of behavior, or is willing to work with a trainer to help him feel more secure. On the plus side, Wawa gets along with cats!

Meet HIROMI HIROMI was turned into the shelter as a found dog. No one ever came for her. Despite being failed by her former person, this sweetheart remains devoted and loving. After Hiromi’s arrival she was initially timid and lacked confidence. She can still be somewhat apprehensive but she has opened up and trusted us enough to let her true colors shine! She is silly, sensitive, refreshingly affectionate, playful and a free spirit. Her absolute favorite past time is to be showered with love and give it in return. Her gentle, resilient nature is inspiring but not surprising. Hiromi is very communicative by expressing a multitude of emotions with her eyes. Her body language is inviting and she understands how to use it to subtly let you know what’s on her mind. She is also an Akita so stubbornness is part of her DNA! Her ideal adopter should have a calm home environment and be able to provide consistency and a daily routine, where she can continue to expand her horizons. Hiromi gets excited for her daily walks and is a great traveler! She seems non-reactive to other dogs and might do well with a mellow male dog. She is approx 4 yrs old and weighs 57 lbs. She is also crate and house trained. She is ready to pledge her love and devotion! Are you?! Meet TOBI We don't know much about Tobi's past, but his future is very bright. He is a big boy with a heart the size to match. He is a gentle giant with a gregarious, carefree attitude and is eager to learn and experience the world. He is game for adventure and deserves to have that special someone to accompany him in life. Tobi is playful and has a welcoming aura about him. He also has an unabashed, confident side to him. He's just not sure how he ended up here, and we're making sure he never has to wonder that ever again. He is best as an only dog and someone with previous Akita experience is best. Tobi is approximately 5 yrs old, and due to his size should be on a good quality joint supplement. He's only been with us a short time, so will need to gain a few pounds to look his best, but he's already on his way to showing us his beautiful soul. Meet Emi Emi’s sleek, brindle coat is a thing of beauty and so magnificent to behold. Engaging, charismatic, gregarious, and spirited are the first things you sense about her from the moment she enters a room. Emi exudes a brand of joy that makes her impossible to resist! Not until you witness her graceful elegance and see a bit of frost around her muzzle, do you realize she is a senior beauty with an abundance of life experiences to share. She’s 8 yrs old and has found herself homeless, but she’s seen enough in life to know there’s still a wonderous journey ahead. She is a lover of people and she’d much rather be enjoying a fun adventure with you by her side on interesting walks or trips to the beach, than be left at home alone. She needs to be an only dog and is not suitable with cats. She is approximately 60 lbs. and seems unaware she has some arthritis and hip dysplasia. But as you can see, she enjoys playing with her toys and doing tricks for treats. Her healthy curiosity keeps her engaged in life’s adventures, though she also loves her beauty naps.
