Story
We have had Sawyer for 4 years, nearly his whole life. We adopted him from the local SPCA and have had a wonderful 4 years with him. He is a loyal, loveable boy. He is 69lbs but looks bigger; he looks kind of like he is walking on stilts. Sawyer is an independent dog; he loves a game of fetch but never quite learned the return part, lives for walks and hikes, and once he warms to you, is a big ole snuggler (especially in the mornings). He is generally good with most dogs (he has a dog-walking group he goes out with), but has sometimes gotten a little protective of the house with other dogs. He has not spent any time with cats but does not like them on our walks, so it is likely not recommended. The primary reason we are looking for a new home for Sawyer is because we have a 1-year-old with whom Sawyer is having a hard time sharing space. It was not an issue until our son got mobile, and now Sawyer is a mix of nervous energy and competition. He's up to date on shots and microchipped

Bronx

Border Collie Mutt

Male, Young
San Anselmo, CA
Size
(when grown) Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
Details
Good with kids, Good with dogs, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Bronx was adopted from the Humane Society of Silicon Valley (HSSV) on April 23, 2023. He was 11 weeks old and weighed 9.20 lbs. and presumed to be a Border Collie Mix but staff was unsure what he was mixed with. Since his adoption he has completed the required Puppy Training course provided by HSSV while also receiving continued training by his family. Bronx is potty trained, knows the basic commands (sit, stay, leave it, etc..) but could benefit from more extensive and regular training and strong leadership from pack leader or family. Bronx loves to run, fetch and socialize with other dogs and people. He has been trained to be both on and off leash and responds to commands when off leash; but keep in mind he's still a puppy and sometimes gets distracted and may need commands repeated. Bronx also can get a little over excited when it comes to meeting other dogs and people and may jump on them or at them to greet them. This is something that will need continuous work to be corrected.

Story
Hi! My name is Sigrid, and I'm the sweetest girl looking for a new home. I love walks, sniffs, snuggles, chewing on a bone, riding in the car - especially if I can get my nose out the window - and playing chase with my dog friends. I love to curl up next to my human on the couch and am such a good girl home alone in the house. I am very smart and always listen to my humans, unless I see a cat and then I can't resist chasing! I would love to meet you! History: I used to be a stray in the first few months of my life before I went to a good home, so I am afraid of strangers. I bond deeply with my live-in humans, but I need to keep my distance from visitors.

Story
They say I'm REALLY smart, extremely loving, and high in energy. I'm great around kids 12 and up, my breed was used for hunting and herding so I'm a work dog. I can be leash aggressive, but do well with dogs off leash when at the dog park or boarding and when able to be redirected, I'll eventually warm up to other dogs, but I don't do well will cats because they're meant for chasing obviously! I'm potty trained, know commands like sit, wait, paw, in, and I can pick up new ones if you work with me. I'm a quick learner with signals and firm reinforcements. I'm wary/cautious of people until you spend a little time with me. Stranger danger is what I've learned but not everyone is bad and scary. I have a Lot of energy and I want to go on runs, hikes, and I'd love to go on adventures with you. Right now the family I'm living with has two dogs and I like them a lot, but they're old and I want to play, but they wont play with me, so will you play with me? Please! Pretty paw please!

Story
I found this beautiful Husky roaming around the streets of my town in the SF Bay Area. I kept him in my backyard a few days until his owner could be found. No one came forth and so he went to the county animal shelter where he stayed for a week and then was scheduled to be euthanized. I couldn't let that happen to this sweet, innocent dog so I took him home as a foster. He has been with me for a week and is a very social and friendly dog. He is about 2-3 years old. Since I already have 2 large dogs, I do not have any room for a third, so that is why I would like to find a permanent home for this amazing animal. He is full of LOVE and is very PLAYFUL! He gets along with kids and cats! He is trained and knows to sit and stay. He is friendly and comfortable with new people- men and women alike. He would be great as an only dog in a family that has older kids (10+ years old) who would love to play with him and walk him daily.
