Kona is a beautiful 8 year old pure bread German Shepherd. While she does NOT get along with any other pets and needs to be in a single pet home, she is VERY affectionate, loyal, and protective of children and her family. She is high energy and LOVES to play fetch and soccer. She needs gentle and caring owners who are patient and in need of a k-9 companion.

Story
At approx 4 years old, suspected Husky mix, Bitsy is pretty petite at just about 34lbs. She loves to run and play, give kisses, wrestle, play with her favorite Kong toy and has been getting very good at hide-and-seek. With all her energy, she would probably be GREAT on an agility course as she is a fast learner. Currently the only dog in a home with 2 working adults, and a 2yr old. She no longer gets the attention or activity she needs. She's very social and friendly with other dogs, but does not do well with cats. We have been able to leave her out of the crate when we are gone, but that was a long process. She will need time to adjust to a new home to calm her anxiety and get used to her new surroundings. She learns very quickly and respects her boundaries when they are set consistently. (UPDATE - originally posted in 2022, now has had more accidents in the house, we think because of getting more anxious when not getting enough attention and can longer leave her out alone.)

Size

Story
Freya is a sweet, sensitive girl with a personality to match. She would love a home where she can relax by her owner’s feet all day long and just keep you company. She bonds incredibly strongly with her ‘special person’, so becomes worried when she is left alone for too long. She needs an understanding owner who can work with her to become more independent and confident and who has time to be home with her for a good part of the day. Freya is potty trained and doing very well with crate-training. She does seem to have a preference for ladies. She enjoys running around the yard and playing with her dog friends, both large and small. She appreciates time to adapt to new places and would feel most comfortable in a quiet home with kids 10 and up. This sensitive girl is looking for a patient adopter who will give her some time to settle into her new home. Breed: German Wirehaired Pointer mix Sex: Spayed Female Age: 1 yr, 6 months Size: 42 lbs Arrival Date: 4-18-23 Freya is up to date on shots, spayed, heart worm tested negative and microchipped. If you would like to meet Freya, please email ResQpaws at info@resqpaws.org or call 530-713-9079 for more information. You can fill out an application on our website,  resqpaws.org.  Under the Applications tab is the Foster Dog Adoption Application. July 6, 2024, 8:04 pm

Story
Sailor moon was originally from a bad situation as a pup. She has since always been a nervous dog but warms up quickly and becomes an energetic ball! I adopted her 2 years ago when I was 3 months pregnant believing it was okay to adopt another dog not thinking about it too much. I’ve tried really hard to have her adjust with my older much smaller dog and it still isn’t working out. I’ve tried and tried and training from professionals if completely out of our households budget and well we just don’t have the time for her anymore. I wish it was different. She has never bite anyone or shown aggression towards me, my boyfriend, our toddler or my smaller dog. The reason I mostly need to rehome her is she doesn’t know her own strength. There’s now been one too many times she almost hurt my small dog due to her rough housing with him believing she’s smaller than what she is. It’s a risk I can’t take anymore and they both deserve to lives their lives with upmost safety and comfort. Also frisbee

Story
MEET BUBBA - Bubba is the most grateful and loving little guy. Bubba hates the Wilderness! He doesn’t want to camp, hike or take nature walks. Whatever happened to Bubba during his wilderness experience has permanently turned him off to all things outdoorsy. Bubba just wants to be with his people or he will be happy chilling calmly in a backyard that is fully fenced. He loves to be outside as long as it’s a confined yard space, He is not hyper. He does not need a job. He is a bit of an oddity for his breed and is a wonderful one on one companion and should be an only child. Bubba has been an absolute joy to have around. He’s sweet, loves kids and just wants to follow his people around the farm. He’s a very good boy and will be grateful to be someone’s loyal companion. Bubba appears to be full blue heeler and has the nub tail. Bubba is nervous of new dogs until he gets to know them. Bubba has been recently neutered, is up to date on vaccines and microchipped. If you believe Bubba is your love match, please email us with a little information about yourselves and how Bubba would spend his days with you, to gooddogk9rescue@yahoo.com Thank you - Good Dog K9 Rescue Inc.
