Story
Bennet is a 10 month old Chihuahua puppy who lost a leg but never his spirit. He was one of six pups cruelly dumped with trash in a remote area, emaciated and suffering from an old, untreated injury so severe that amputation was the only humane option. Today, Bennet is pain free and thriving, zipping around on three legs just as fast as he ever could on four.

Darlene was surrendered to the shelter when her owners could no longer care for her. She was living with 2 other dogs and appears good with new dogs. Darlene lived with kids and is housetrained, affectionate and well-mannered. Darlene will bark at strangers and sounds the alarms for deliveries. She is about 42 pounds, and we are working on cleaning up some skin issues (high quality food and fish oil, with an exam scheduled at vet). She is fostering in southern Riverside County, Calif.October 31, 2025, 9:58 pm

Story
I’m Knuckles, a one-year-old, 10-pound bundle of joy with soft fur and a little fox face that always seems to be smiling. I love being around other dogs, and I even do a happy prance when I walk on a leash. I’m a loyal little guy who just wants to stay close to my family and share all my happiness with them. Like all Lucky Chi’s I’m neutered and am up to date on all vaccinations. If I seem like a good fit for you, please fill out a form at the bottom of our Adoptable Chi’s page!

Story
Honey (she goes by Dolce, but we have another dog also with that name) came from a home with far too many dogs that overwhelmed the owner. Honey is 43 pounds, is recently spayed and is microchipped and up to date on vaccines. Honey is being treated for an ear infection, and is on some high quality food and fish oil to clean up her skin. She is a typical female, who can get a little growly around strangers poking and prodding (not a fan of the vet but manageable), but has lived with other dogs and kids with no issues. Her coat is cleaning up slowly with good food and some antibiotics. She came to us with a pretty patchy coat. Honey is the princess, preferring inside to out (she is completely housetrained, but just doesn't want to hang out in the yard otherwise). She is quiet, not a big barker and likes to give kisses and hugs. Honey is fostering in the Indio, California area. If you are looking for a pair, Royce came from the same home.December 22, 2025, 11:19 am

Story
Meet Turbo – Your Future Best Friend! Turbo is an 8-month-old cream-colored Shar Pei mix with the softest coat and the sweetest soul. At around 50 pounds, this lovable pup is still just a baby at heart – playful, social, and full of goofy charm. He absolutely adores other dogs and kids, and he’ll thrive in a home with canine buddies to play and cuddle with. This is the dog that will love your kids as much as you do! He will be there to cuddle with them on their toughest day! He would love to be on the sideline cheering when they score their first goal or home run  of the season.   Turbo’s previous owner cared deeply about him and made the tough decision to surrender him so he could get the eye care he needs. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and more than ready to meet his forever family.   &#226&#156&#168 Special Needs, Special Pup: Turbo has a condition called Corneal Endothelial Dystrophy, which causes cloudiness in the eyes as certain cells slowly die off over time. While there’s no cure and his vision may gradually decline, his current vision is still good, and daily eye drops (about $20/month) can help slow the progression. The condition is not painful, and he’s a happy, active boy – just needs a little extra love and care!   Turbo is currently fostering in Riverside, CA, and he’s looking for a family who’ll see how amazing he is – eye drops and all. Could that be you?   Great with dogs Great with kids Neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped &#239&#184&#143 Needs daily eyedrops (non-painful condition)   Apply to meet Turbo – because this sweet, squishy boy is ready to run straight into your heart!  October 7, 2025, 12:16 pm
