Story
FOSTER CARE! Hello, my name is Rudy and I'm a 3-year-old, neutered Border Collie mix that currently weighs about 45lbs. I'm a sweet and friendly guy that's hoping for a family that understands my special needs don’t make me any less loveable! I have a chronic balance issue that causes me to have a bit of a wobble, especially when I'm excited. But don't worry, I'm still a happy go lucky guy and I've adapted just fine! Sometimes other animals don't understand my signature wobble, so I'd like meet any residents dogs to make sure we get along. For more information about me, just ask Customer Service about Rudy! ID# A960272 My foster family says I'm the bestest boy! Here's how I've been in their home: Rudy is such a good boy! He has a bit of a wobble, but that doesn't stop him from enjoying daily walks, going for short trots, and playing with the family. He does great in the car. He can jump in on his own (we act as a spotter just in case) and he sits patiently during the entre drive just taking in the sights and smells. He loves squeaky toys and sometimes carries them with him on walks. This adorable boy is very affectionate and is a constant companion. He will follow you around the house like a fur and LOVES to cuddle. We have been able to leave him home for the work day without any accidents. He will try to chase small animals like birds, cats, and wildlife so he will probably be best as the only child. He is an absolute joy to have and we hope he finds his forever family soon.  Since I’m not at the adoption center, you can make arrangements to meet me by emailing behavior@phs-spca.org You may also submit your fully completed Adoption Profile Form to behavior@phs-spca.org and a staff member will call you to conduct a phone interview before making an appointment to meet me in person. Story
Hello! My name is Tammy and I'm a spayed, 1-year-old, pit bull that currently weighs about 47lbs. I'm a fun loving girl with a rambunctious playstyle that's ready to go, go, GO! I love to do zoomies around the yard when I'm not busy wrestling with my friends. I'm hoping for a family that has experience with bully breeds like me and has an active lifestyle. I would love to go running, hiking, and exploring with you! Since I'm such a feisty girl that's still working on impulse control and manners, I would like to be the only dog in the household so I can perfect my skills! I am also a total lovebug that's affectionate once I've had a chance to get my wiggles out. For more information about me, just ask Customer Service about Tammy! ID# A965273 I recently went to the PHS pop-up in the Hillsdale mall! Here's how I did: I had a chance to take Miss Tammy Wigglebutt to the Hillsdale Holiday pup-up. She was incredibly patient, observant and just the best girl. She did well in the car, she now knows how to get in / off by herself. She needs a little boost to get onto the back seat. At the mall, honestly , I was nervous seeing how crowded and crazy it was. Tammy did great! She was observant of the overwhelming environment, and did not react to any loud noises/ music/ kids as we walked across the mall. She was next to me all the time. A lot of folks wanted to pet her even before I reached the venue. Tammy gently received all their pets in a sit position. At the venue, she sat on her blanket as she received overwhelming amount of attention from the folks who wanted to say hello. She did not jump and never showed got overwhelmed. She wagged her tail to everyone’s pets. She observed everyone pass by. She almost slept off in the last 20 mins. People were impressed by how calm she is in a crowded place like a holiday mall. Some asked about her info, and hopefully they visit her soon. We got back to Lantos, she was sleeping on her ride back. Tammy was happy at her dorm wiggling her butt as I said goodnight.Unless otherwise indicated, adoptable animals are located at our Lantos Center for Compassion at 1450 Rollins Road, Burlingame, CA 94010.  You may call us at 650-340-7022 to schedule an appointment, or just drop by.
