Story
Po’okela was born in Oahu Hawaii in May of 2020. His name means “excellence.” He goes by “Kela” and is a 20-lb, 5-year-old miniature pincher (the vet said no more treats). Kela LOVES to cuddle under the blankets and his favorite spot is next to you with his nose tucked into your leg and covered with a blanket. He loves to be on the couch but also sleeps well in a small dog bed. At the moment, his favorite spot is his dog bed tucked into a laundry basket. Kela can’t see that great because of cataracts; so, he doesn’t play catch or fetch. He walks with a harness, but he prefers to stay indoors or just walk the backyard slowly. He gets along with other dogs and doesn’t bark at cats. Kela is up to date on vaccines, chipped, and neutered so he’s ready for his fur-ever home. He lives with another dog now and another dog in his new home would be preferable as he doesn’t like to be alone. Homebodies are his besties because he loves to be home and cuddle up with his humans.

Story
🐾 Meet Appa Appa is a loving, loyal dog who forms strong bonds with his people. He is very gentle and affectionate and enjoys cuddling, sleeping near his person, and being part of a calm daily routine. When he meets new people, he can get excited and likes to “hug” as a way of saying hello. He does well on walks, transitions calmly on leash, and responds well to structure and guidance. Appa enjoys companionship, consistency, and having a space where he feels secure. Appa would thrive best as the only pet, or in a home without small dogs or cats. He is not dog-reactive on walks or outside the home, but he can become territorial with other animals in his personal space. He is a wonderful dog who deserves a home that matches his needs, ideally with experienced owners, older children or teens, and no small animals. Our goal is to find Appa a safe, loving home where he can fully settle in and be his best self.

Story
Hi! My name is Loki! I’m a darling brown brindle French Bulldog, approximately 2 yr of age and 30 lbs. My foster Mom says I’m a bundle of fun! I love all people and every dog I meet, so it’s pretty hard not to love me! I get so excited that my usual greeting is some pretty impressive jumping (my foster Mom says it’s not good for me to do that so I’m learning to control myself, but it’s hard)! I’m a happy, friendly, active boy and I keep busy just being busy. Whether exploring the yard/house, playing with toys, or my favorite thing which is playing with my doggie friends, you will find me doing something all the time. I’m always ready to go with you and down for doing anything fun. I’m crate trained and sleep quietly through the night (after some bone chewing). I'm housetrained I’m good on leash (although I need reminders not to pull) and I love going on my daily walks. I’m such a ‘people dog’ and really just love being with my humans… belly rubs are a major plus!! My favorite thing is playing with other doggie friends. I’m good with dogs of all sizes as long as they can handle my exuberance and play style. My ideal home will have another young dog to match my energy and play. I have no experience with kids and due to my exuberance and mouthy play my new home should not have children under 7 yrs of age. Although I’m a very healthy boy (per my veterinarian) my breed comes with certain predisposed medical issues so my new family should be well aware of these issues and the costs involved with owning my breed. My adoption fee is reflective of the high costs of neutering this breed…adoption fees include health examination, current basic vaccinations, neuter, microchip, flea and deworming treatment along with any other medical/dental deemed necessary by our veterinarian.

**Potential adopters must fill out the questionnaire at the end of the bio and email to Graciabutter@gmail.com Meet Lady! Lady is a 7-month-old sweetheart who came to us from a homeless encampment with her mom and siblings. From the moment she arrived, she’s shown us how resilient, loving, and full of life she is. Lady adores running, playing, exploring, and handing out kisses to everyone she meets. She recently went on her first camping trip and did amazing — she loved every minute of exploring and being part of the adventure. She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations. Lady would thrive in a home with another dog to play with and learn from. If you’re looking for a joyful, affectionate young pup who’s ready to be your best friend, Lady is ready to meet you. ****Answers to the questionnaire must be emailed to GraciaButter@gmail.com. Please tell us a bit about yourself/family • What city do you live in? • Do you rent or own? • Any children in the home? What ages? List all family members living in the home • What is your work schedule? Family schedule? • How many hours per day would the pet be left alone? • Where is the pet kept when left alone? • Where does the pet sleep? • Any other pets in the home? If so, what type/breed? • How often will the dog be exercised? • If the dog becomes ill or injured are you financially prepared to provide medical care? • Are you prepared to care for this dog for its life span of 15+ years? • Do you have a training plan? Please explain. • Do you have a plan in place if something happens and you can no longer care for the dog? • Before adoption, an up-close video of your fenced yard will be required - the entire perimeter including gates and the bottom of the fencing. The yard must be free of foxtails and fully secured. • Home check may be performed • If "meet & greet" is scheduled, all household members, dogs included, must be present.
