Story
BROLINIf you`re looking for a young energetic and happy dog, meet Brolin! He enjoys playing fetch with the toys in the play yard and has shown some interest in playing with dogs around his size and energy level. He did respond nicely when called to. He`d make a nice running partner or maybe some hiking or beach walks. He`d do nicely in a good training class to continue his education. When he tried dock-diving, he was a superstar! Young Brolin weighs in at 67lbs.Here`s what Brolin`s foster has to say about him:`Brolin is a funny, charismatic, and an outgoing puppy (at heart) who loves to play, get pets, go for walks on the beach and is always up for an adventure with you. Brolin loves to cuddle and loves to get as many pets as possible. Any time I come home he gets so excited and so happy to see me, he comes right up to me and rolls over on his back to get more belly rubs while his tail is slapping the floor. In the morning time he loves to get as close as possible and snuggle up with you any chance he can get. He loves all toys that squeak and make noise. Brolin is very outgoing and playful. He has the biggest brown eyes that when you look into, can`t help your self but squeeze that little face of his and give him all the love you have. He listens very well and does great on leash walks. He is potty trained and will let me know when he must use the bathroom. He is well behaved in the house when I am gone at work. Once in the car he loves to stick his head out the window and smell every flower. He does well being trained. He would be an amazing dog for any family and anyone who has an active lifestyle. You will never be lonely when Brolin is with you`.

Story
KIKIIs an energetic girl who takes her game of fetch seriously. She is nice and gentle taking treats. Being the smart cookie she is, she already knows sit and shake and walks nicely on leash. She knows her name and is eager to respond to it-- for Kiki, people mean friends, love, and fun! Kiki currently weighs in at a nice 46lbs, perfect for snuggling up on the couch with you. Here`s what one of Kiki`s many volunteer friends had to say about a recent outing with her: “I got Kiki out today, she is so spunky and loving. She was immediately calm in my car and laid down on her own. We stopped at my house because I forgot to grab a long line. She made herself right at home! No accidents in the house, found some toys she liked, and did some zoomies in the yard. Then we were off to the park! She did well at the park adjacent to kids and people. She`s curious but navigated it all easily! No reactions to dogs, kept moving when I did. She`s such a love with a funny personality.`

Story
Dreamboat Timber is a sight to behold-- he`s gorgeous, athletic, and kind of a goof! He is entertaining to watch when he plays with toys and has been described as being “good natured, silly, and a joy to be around` by his volunteer friends. Timber does well with being brushed and will lean into you when being pet. He’ll soak up all the love and affection you want to give him! He has been on many outings with volunteers and particularly loves the ones that involve playing in the water and snow. He rides well in the car, has nice leash manners and continuously checks-in with his person. He has many dog friends here at the shelter and has been a helper dog with puppies. Timber is looking for someone to share his life with-- could you be his perfect match? Five year old Timber weighs in at a nice 70 lb. If you would like to meet Timber, please visit https://humboldtgov.org/2658/Animal-Shelter and fill out an application to be pre-approved to make an appointment. Here`s what Timber`s volunteer friends have to say about him:`Timber is such a good-natured and silly boy. I love how happy he gets when I take him out for a walk! As soon as his leash is on, he`s ready to be outside. Once outside he walks very politely, and checks in often for pets. The way he bounces to try to get me to play with him always makes me laugh. His joy at being out and about is the reason he`s always the first dog I walk at the shelter!`

Story
ODIEIs a lively boy who is ready for any adventure you throw his way. While he is energetic, he also shows the ability to settle and chew on a bone or toy while you are at rest. He has shown us that he knows the commands for sit and down. In fact, when we went into his kennel to leash him up for his walk, he politely offered a nice sit. What a good boy! He is highly food motivated which will come in handy for training and yet he is gentle while taking his treats. Did we mention that he just loves the game of Tug? He`ll bring the rope toy over and offer it up to you to engage in play. Young Odie currently weighs in at 57lbs.
