Story
Are you looking for a four-legged BFF?? A pooch who's totally in her "Happy Place" just being by your side?? A buddy to go on leisurely walks with and then snuggle up on the couch with?? If so, then I AM YOUR GIRL!! My name is Calla, my nickname is "Cutie Pie". I'm a Chihuahua weighing just 8lbs & standing a mere 12" at my shoulders. I'm 11-years young with TONS of LOVE to give! I'm not a complicated lady …..I'm searching for someone special to spend my future years with. A loving, kind & gentle human(s) who will keep me safe and love me to BITS! A quiet home with no other pets b/c truly, I don't want to share my person/people. I can be okay meeting other dogs, but growl at them. I haven't been around children ~ older kids might be okay but perhaps an adult only home is best. I love being outside and enjoy going for walks. I'm well-mannered on leash. I have access to my kennel at all times and, I like it that way ( the door is always open). I have my own room at my foster's home with my kennel, dishes and even a pee pad in case of an emergency. However, as long as I'm taken out at regular intervals, I am Golden! I don't mind going outside to do my business, I just need my person to set a fairly frequent schedule. I don't play with toys ~ "been there, done that". I'd much rather be where you are collecting as many pets & cuddles as possible! I'm in retirement mode so I do enjoy napping throughout the day. When I'm not napping, I can be found next to you ~ hopefully, cuddling!! When I do feel a bit frisky, I can be coaxed into doing a little "doggie dance" for you which will certainly make you smile! To sum me up..…….I'm a very sweet Cuddle-Bug who is looking for MY two-legged BFF! If that could be you, please apply to meet me SOON! In Adoration, Calla

Story
Introducing Kong, a three year old Rottweiler/Bernese cross weighing approximately 110lbs. This easygoing boy enjoys the simple pleasures in life such as food, attention and balls. Actually, the phrase "ball is life" may have been coined by Kong, we aren't really sure. 😁 ‼️‼️ King and Kong are a bonded pair and hoping for a home together. What's better than one adorable and loving boy? How about two adorable and loving boys to keep themselves entertained? ☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️ Kong enjoys hanging out with other dogs and enjoys the company of older children. At this time, Kong hasn't been tested with cats. Kong enjoys his daily walks and can pull out of excitement if he sees another dog. He walks well in a halti but could use a strong leader to provide direction and guidance. Kong is a master at potty training and he does well in his crate. His laidback personality suggests he can be a little lazy at times but his loving side shines through all the time, constantly asking for love and attention. 😍 Once Kong has placed his full trust in you, you are hard pressed to find a more loyal companion who just wants to be where you are. Add ball in that equation and Kong is the happiest boy! 😁 If you're ready to open your heart and home to a very loving boy, apply today to meet Kong. Bonus if he can share his home with King! 💙

Story
Meet King, a three year old Rottweiler/Bernese cross weighing approximately 110lbs. While his name suggests royalty and aristocracy, King is the biggest softie and goofball around....pets, love and attention are the things he asks for and his silly demeanour will have you smiling constantly. 😍 ‼️‼️ King and Kong are a bonded pair and hoping for a home together. What's better than one adorable and loving boy? How about two adorable and loving boys to keep themselves entertained? ☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️ King does well with other dogs and enjoys the company of older children. At this time, King hasn't been tested with cats. He's very interested in birds. We don't have the heart to tell him he couldn't catch one but this softie would likely do no harm even if he could. 😉 King enjoys his walks and needs a strong leader to provide direction and guidance. He walks well with a halti and likes to pull out of excitement when he sees another dog. King has perfected potty training and he does well in his crate. This boy just wants to please his people. ☺️ King likes food, dogs, people, balls, hikes and attention....not necessarily in that order. 😉 His silly personality will surely keep you laughing daily. King isn't a fan of fireworks, lightening and thunder but he'll take the extra attention given. ☺️ Love and hope go a long way. King is looking for a safe and loving home where he can be his goofiest self. Bonus if he can share his home with Kong! Apply today to meet King! 💙

Story
We are on the search for a very special home for Nelly, one with either a calm mellow dog or no dog as she should be exercise restricted and a laid back home. Sweet Nelly wasn't dealt the best cards with her health but we are determined to give her the very best life she can have. Nelly is an affectionate and energetic German Shepherd mix, about 18 months old. Despite her young age, she's already making great strides in learning how to interact with other dogs and respecting their cues when she becomes too excited. As a baby, Nelly is still working on sharing her toys, crate, food bowl, and backyard space with the birds. She's naturally curious and may bark at unfamiliar people or things as she gets used to new experiences. She is house trained and crate trained! She has an endearing tendency to tattle on her foster brother if he misbehaves, barking at him and gently nibbling on his ears. Despite her active nature, she can only sustain play for short periods due to her heart condition. She would love home without another dog, or a dog that will be calm and not play much with her. She also needs a home without any young children Here are some of Nelly's nicknames and her likes and dislikes: **Nicknames:** - Nells Bells - Nelly Fertado - Ms. Fertado - Smelly Nelly - Neller - Nelly Nibbles - Noisy Nelly - Woah Nelly **Likes:** - Chewing on bones - Playing - Being chased - Pets from her humans - Being outside - Squeaky balls - CUDDLES **Dislikes:** - The vacuum (she barks at it and sometimes tries to "chomp" it) - Sharing her items - When other dogs bother her in her crate - Cats Nelly is a lovable and lively German Shepherd mix who's eager to find her forever home. With her friendly demeanor, she's sure to bring joy and excitement to any family. If you're looking for an energetic pup who's making great progress in her training and ready to share lots of affection, Nelly could be the perfect addition to your home. If you think Nelly is a good fit for your family, don't wait—apply today to give this sweet puppy the loving home she deserves! Nelly was recently diagnosed with Severe Aortic Stenosis as well as a severely damaged valve in her heart. Aortic Stenosis is a narrowing of the aortic value, which is the gateway between the heart's main chamber and the main artery that pushes blood out to the rest of the body. This narrowing causes the heart to have to work harder to push blood out to the rest of the body. It is a genetic and hereditary condition that she was born with, and sadly does not come with the greatest long term prognosis. As the disease progresses, she could experience lethargy, exercise intolerance, difficulty breathing, coughing, collapse, and sadly even Sudden death.

Story
Little Miss Olive Oyl is small, but she is mighty…and sweet too! ☀️ A lady of many facets, you will find this black beauty basking in spots of soft sunlight, enjoying long walks, partaking in a fierce game of tug-of-war or high-speed zoomies! Olive is a 6-year-old Chihuahua cross who loves a good walkies! She is great on leash and loves walks, long or short. 🐕‍🦺 🛋️While active, she also enjoys comfort and the couch is her fav spot - so her furever home should be ok with dogs on the furniture! She is the perfect housemate, as she is fully house trained and respectful of your things! No chewing here. When she needs to pee, she'll whine at the door to let you know! 🚽 ➡️ She is fearful of other dogs when out and about, but can get comfortable with another dog indoors with proper, slow introductions. She loves adults and does well with her foster feline sibling too! 🐈Olive has not been tested with kids. 🦋 She can be a little tentative of others when outside, but a social butterfly in the comfort of her own home! Don't be surprised if you come inside and see Olive sitting on someone else's lap. Olive will fit better in a quieter home where she is the only dog and has calm guidance to help her gain confidence.🤫 She is a creature of habit, and doesn't like surprises or unpredictability so an off-leash dog park is not the place for her. 💤Olive loves her crate and is happy to snooze in there overnight or during the day. But, she is also happy to be left alone loose and will find a sliver of sunshine to curl up in and have a nap. Her most prized possession is a plush Christmas Elf; other fav toys are usually squeaky or crinkly and anything she can play tug of war with! 🎄 Bring home Olive today! Apply below.

Good with dogs,
Story
Befitting her name meaning rippling water, Popples is a high energy, active gal who keeps life fun! p🥳 Popples is a 1.5 year old Boxer/Brussels Griffon mix weighing approximately 40 pounds. ❣️Popples is truly a one-of-a-kind little gremlin. Her goofy antics and playful personality will bring joy to any home. She loves chewing on antlers, playing fetch, and snuggling with her favorite humans. While she can be reactive around other dogs, she's making significant strides in her socialization journey. With proper introductions and managed playdates, she could thrive in a home with a well-mannered canine companion. She is not suited for an off-leash dog park or doggy daycare. 🐕 🧑‍🤝‍🧑Popples' boundless energy and playful nature might be a bit much for young children. She'd do best in a home with older kids/adults who can keep up with her and provide the mental and physical stimulation she craves. Cats? Not so much. They seem to resemble tasty snacks to Popples, she wouldn't do well with other small animals either. 🚫🐈 😱Popples is a great walker when the environment is calm and quiet. However, she can get a bit fearful around bicycles, loud trucks and loud noises. With consistent training and a strong, patient human, she can learn to manage her reactivity. She is a total pro at crate training. She's happy to relax in her crate, especially during her recovery period. As she continues to grow and learn, she can gradually transition to free-roaming.💗 🚽Popples potty trained and very efficient in doing so outside! A Few Things to Note: - Popples can be a bit wary of the "cone of shame." - She's a big fan of most toys, but antlers are her absolute favorite. - Popples needs an active lifestyle including daily walks, playtime, and mental stimulation.🏃
