A little bit about me- is good meeting new people- has not lived with children - is not good with cats- is not good with dogsAre you looking to give a loving home to a special girl? This sweetheart is Walker and she is looking for a forever home that can fill her deserving life with lots of time and love. Walker has good manners and is quite tidy, but would benefit from additional training. She loves to feel smart and would enjoy positive obedience training. Walker is very high energy dog and would fit into an active outdoorsy family. She would prefer to be the only pet in the home. Walker has led rather a chaotic past and has earned some stability in her life. If you think that you can provide her with a chance to live a happy doggy life please contact us at the Shuswap SPCA . Walker may need some extra care and attention but she is worth it , please submit an application to the Shuswap branch through the link below!https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/dog-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: Brown Secondary Color: Black Weight: 25.3 Age: 1yrs 1mths 1wks

Story
A little bit about me: - Good with new people - May be good with dogs pending successful introduction - No cats or small animals - Unknown with childrenMeet Tempest, a young Australian Shepherd/Border Collie mix with a spirit as lively as her name suggests. Tempest was found as a stray so we do not know much of her history, but she has proven her nurturing side by raising a litter of puppies. Her personality is a delightful whirlwind of sweetness, friendliness, and playful energy. Tempest will require a lot of mental and physical stimulation to keep her healthy and happy, and she's hoping her new family enjoys daily walks as much as she does! She also may be able to live with another dog who doesn't mind her high energy, or when she plays a little rough.Adopting Tempest means welcoming a bundle of joy and excitement into your life. She's ready to shower her future family with love and laughter, all she needs is a chance to do so.If you are interested in adopting sweet Tempest, please submit an application to the Shuswap branch through the link below!https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/dog-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: Red Secondary Color: White Weight: 23.7 Age: 2yrs 2mths 3wks

Story
1 and 1/2 year old Estrella is a Shepherd cross looking for a home. She weighs approximately 44 lbs. She is a gorgeous mixed breed dog - lean and sporty looking, with lovely colouring. Estrella and her litter of 5 were found near the SPCA Puerto Vallarta sanctuary in Mexico. Their mum Keisha was tied up and left blind after surviving being poisoned. The puppies were in very poor condition suffering from malnourishment at such a young age. Estrella is now in foster in Kelowna, BC with 2 dogs. She is good with dogs and cats, but can be timid to start. She enjoys walking with her siblings or other friends when exploring new areas. When she would walk with her blind mum she would guide her along and make sure she was safe. Estrella is doing well with the 2 dogs in her foster home, and cuddles up with them in gratitude for them kindly showing her her new world. Estrella is good with people. She'd like a home with a yard, in a non urban centre. She loves the beach, swimming and playing frisbee. If you think you might be a good fit for Estrella please email pvcaadoptions@gmail.com and tell us a little bit about yourself, and we can send you an application, or you can go directly to our application: https://forms.office.com/r/b1Fkq3u4zw See more here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8JIMJsXaANs

Story
**Buster is available for a foster-to-adopt trial only at this time, as his behavioural needs are so complex. This is to fully assess the match between Buster and his potential home. Adoption would be finalized after the foster-to-adopt trial is complete.**Meet Mr. Buster, a sweet but timid soul looking for a patient and understanding forever home. This precious guy has had a ruff start in life, with little to no positive human interactions before finding refuge at our shelter. As a result, Buster is fearful and nervous, lacking confidence and struggling to adjust to the world around him.Despite his past, Buster shows a glimmer of hope and trust, especially towards men, with whom he feels more comfortable. This suggests that with the right approach and environment, Buster has the potential to blossom into a loving and loyal companion.Buster Bar is seeking a quiet home with patient and experienced adopters who can provide a structured routine and gentle guidance to help build his confidence. We believe a household with a quiet, self assured dog his own size could provide him with the companionship and comfort he needs to continue to build his confidence. If you're ready to open your heart and home to a dog in need, Buster is ready to learn what love and kindness truly mean. **Buster is currently on a long-term anxiety medication and potential adopters should be prepared to continue to work closely with their vet regarding this**If you think Buster could be a good fit for you, please contact the Kamloops branch with any further questions or fill out an application below.https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/dog-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: Red Brown Weight: 22.4 Age: 5yrs 5mths 3wks
