Story
Meet Ruby, a delightful 7-year-old French Bulldog with a heart full of love! This sweet lady adores her people and thrives on companionship, always wanting to be by your side. Despite her small stature and gentle demeanor, Ruby is surprisingly strong and full of energy, so she'll need a home with an experienced family ready to help her stay active and engaged.Ruby has a few special preferences: she prefers to be the only pet in the household. She's made it clear that she does not want any canine companions, so a home without other dogs is essential for her happiness. While we're unsure how she feels about cats, we believe she'd do best as the solo star of her family.Ruby has had allergies which cause skin sensitivity. Right now, this is being managed with a hypo-allergenic diet. Ruby may require medication at some point in her life to keep her comfortable. Ruby would greatly benefit from AnimalKind training to refine her leash manners and channel her energy positively. If you're looking for a loving companion who will keep you entertained and shower you with affection, Ruby is the perfect match! Please submit a pre-adoption questionnaire here: https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/dog-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 13.1 Age: 7yrs 2mths 2wks

Story
Kioko is an energetic young girl ready for a fresh start! This sweetie had a rough start to life, and hasn't experienced living in a safe & loving home before. Kioko is super friendly, playful & affectionate. Kioko would benefit from an active lifestyle & plenty of enrichment. We aren't too sure how she'd be with small animals or young children. Her exposure to the world has been minimal, so her guardians should be prepared to take an active role in humane training to help her adjust to her new lifestyle. Ready to adopt? Submit your adoption questionnaire and staff will get back to suitable applicants to discuss next steps! Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 21.9 Age: 1yrs 1mths 0wks

Good with dogs,
Story
Panda arrived at the shelter along with his sisters, Peaches & Peanut. This trio are super adorable & affectionate. They all tend to be cautious in new situations, and would benefit from building their confidence with Fear Free training. Panda has lived his life so far outside, and doesn't have experience in a home environment. We recommend working with an AnimalKind trainer to help these pups get off to a good start in their new homes! All 3 of these cuties are dog-social and would love a canine companion in their next home. Are you looking for a young, playful and active companion? Submit your application to express interest in adoption! Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: Tan Weight: 23.4 Age: 0yrs 6mths 4wks

Story
Reggi is a sweet young poodle looking for an experienced human with plenty of time and patience! While he has a loving nature, Reggi is not good with children, as he is very particular about how he is handled and needs a calm, understanding environment.Reggi feels anxious when left alone and has developed a habit of barking frequently. This behavior can be worked on in his future home, but due to this tendency, he would be best suited to a home without close neighbors. He is energetic and active, requiring plenty of exercise to keep him happy and healthy.Reggi would thrive in a household where people are around most of the time, providing him with the companionship he craves. He can be nervous around other dogs, and we're still assessing his behavior around cats.Additionally, Reggi needs help being desensitized to grooming, which can be a stressful experience for him. He would greatly benefit from continued training, and he has already shown improvement with an AnimalKind trainer. With the right guidance and support, Reggi has the potential to flourish in a loving home. If you're an experienced pet owner ready to invest time in helping Reggi feel secure and confident, he could be the perfect companion for you! Not good with kids,
Story
Meet Oakley: This gentle soul is a bit nervous and will need a patient and loving home to help her build her confidence. She is still learning how to navigate the world, especially on a leash, and would benefit from working with an AnimalKind trainer. She dislikes other dogs, and will react when seeing them, so she's not suitable for dog parks or daycare and will need to be the only dog in her home. She would also do best in a home with no kids or older, dog-savvy children. If you have the love and patience to help this sweet girl blossom, she may just be the perfect addition to your home! 🐾💖Interested in meeting Oakley? Please submit a pre-adoption questionnaire here: https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/dog-pre-adoption-questionnaire/🌟Oakley is currently awaiting her spay appointment, so is only available for foster-to-adopt local to the South Okanagan area🌟 Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: Tan Points Weight: 28.8 Age: 2yrs 1mths 1wks

Needs special attention, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Meet Dini, a delightful 9-month-old Cane Corso mix with a heart full of love! This happy girl has impeccable manners and is ready to find her forever home. Dini thrives best with an experienced owner who understands her breed and can help her flourish. While Dini enjoys the company of some dogs, she has specific preferences and may be best suited to a home without other pets. She isn't fond of felines, so a cat-free environment would be ideal. This will allow her to receive all the attention she deserves and work on her socialization skills.Though Dini has only three legs, she's as quick as a bunny and hardly lets that slow her down! She may tire out more easily than other pups, but her spirit is unbreakable. A true snuggle bug at heart, Dini has already mastered the "sit" command and is eager to learn more. Our Volunteer Dog Walkers have taken her for a while on the Greenway and she does wonderfully. This gal is amazing to say the least. If you're looking for a loving companion who will fill your life with joy, Dini is ready to bring her warmth and affection into your home. Are you ready to give Dini the loving home she deserves? If you believe this sweet, young canine is the furever family friend, please complete an online Dog Pre-Adoption Questionnaire at:https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/dog-pre-adoption-questionnaire/Walk-Ins are welcome - The Centre is open Tuesday - Saturday Noon to 4 pm (except for Stat Holidays) Primary Color: Tan Secondary Color: Black Weight: 25.5 Age: 0yrs 10mths 4wks
