Meet our beautiful girl Topaz,Topaz is a beautiful girl who has overcome a challenging past. She came into our care in poor physical health and was very nervous about the world around her. Everything was new to her, from trusting humans, to even just playing as any dog should. Despite these hardships, Topaz has shown incredible strength and a desire to trust and bond with people. Despite her difficult past, this girl has a loving spirit and is ready to find her forever home.Topaz is loyal and protective of her people. She thrives on human companionship and forms strong bonds with those she trusts. She can be a bit reserved at first, but with patience and love, her playful and affectionate side will shine through. This sweet girl needs someone who understands that building trust takes time. Consistent, positive reinforcement will help her gain confidence. The understanding that gradual exposure to new people and environments is essential. Topaz needs to be the only dog in her new home. Her protective nature means she feels most comfortable when she doesn't have to share her space or attention with other pets. She would thrive in a calm environment where she can be the center of attention and receive plenty of love and care. Topaz should go to a home with breed experience- she would not be a great fit for a new dog guardian. As Topaz has a very thick coat, constant grooming will be an asset to keep her looking beautiful and feeling her best! Sierra knows 'sit' and is eager to learn new tricks and commands. She is food motivated, so training is fun and exciting for her! Since arriving at the Sunshine Coast Branch, Sierra has been pretty stressed out, being in a new place with new people. She finally settled today and had a nice long morning nap in her kennel after a fun adventure exploring the woods and roads around the shelter with her walker.Sierra may have a little bit of anxiety, and would most likely benefit from living with a work-from-home family member. She is a total cuddle bug, and is most at peace being with her person.Sierra seems to be friendly with other dogs here at the branch, but small animals like chickens are an absolute "no" from her!If you see something in Sierra, please apply online to schedule a meet & greet.Sierra 600999Please follow these steps if interested in adoption!1.
