Story
Introducing Bobo!Bobo is a lovable, one-year-old pit bull mix who hails from the Prince George area. Since he was found as a rural stray, lots of city situations are still new for him. He is working on his leash manners and has a strong prey drive for wildlife. His ideal home would be with someone who has time and patience to work with him on his training, recall and loose leash walking.Bobo gets along well with other dogs who match is high energy and curiousity. He is very playful with toys and would do absolutely anything for a treat. He is working on his sit, stay and being calm in public spaces. He can be very jumpy on leash, so bringing a special toy or treat as a distraction is key for success.Bobo is very friendly and loves to be the center of attention. He would do best in an adult only home with yard access to help him burn off his energy. Scent work, snuffle mats and various DIY enrichment tools are a must for his continued training. If you're looking for a goofy meatball to be your lifelong companion, look no further. Bobo's the guy for you! Our adoption hours are Tuesday-Sunday, 12-4pm, or you can apply online! Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 34.2 Age: 1yrs 1mths 2wks

Story
Say hello to Massimo! This young boy is full of energy and loves to play in our yard with his toys. He is very tidy and fully house-trained. He came from a home with a small breed dog and he gets along with the other dogs in the shelter so with proper introductions he would be great in a home that is looking for a second dog. His life experience has been very limited and he is still getting used to the world so he does need a lot of support and encouragement to feel safe when experiencing new places and new things. Massimo struggles with this when he goes on leashed walks and pulls the leash because he is scared. Massimo's new home will need to teach him how to feel secure by slowly introducing him to his new world with lots of praise and positive rewards. While he has been with us in the shelter he has shown signs of distress when he is left alone and in a home this may present as barking and whining. He would benefit from a home that has a flexible work schedule that allows him plenty of time with his new family and learning to be left alone through small increments. Do you think you could be Massimo's forever home? Submit an online application adopt.spca.bc.ca and staff will contact the first suitable adopter to set-up a visit! Kindly note that due to the high number of applications and the availability of walk-in adoptions, an online applicant would have to be available to come in for a meet within 24 hrs Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 27.4 Age: 1yrs 7mths 3wks

Story
Meet Cooper! Cooper is a 7 year old German Short Haired Pointer. He's medium large in size, and is just the sweetest old boy you could ever imagine.Cooper was surrendered to the Kamloops Branch through no fault of his own. He was then transferred all the way to the Sunshine Coast Branch, where he currently is, through the drive-for-lives program. He can be a little bit shy at first, but he warms up to people quickly.Cooper may be a little older, but he has lots of energy still, and is a strong dog. He has been known to enjoy chasing cats, and though we haven't seen this behaviour, it is worth noting that reactivity to other dogs is mentioned in his file. Due to these points, Cooper is best suited to be the only pet in the home. This intelligent, sweet boy has so much love to give. He is a world class snuggler, and would love nothing more than to relax beside you at home on a rainy day. Cooper gets excited when he makes new friends or recognizes an old friend, and will do the most adorable tippy tap dance to signal his happiness! He's the cutest.** Cooper had a dental surgery on Nov 29th, and is awaiting a recheck on Dec 13th, so he is not quite ready for adoption yet. He is available for Foster-To-Adopt until he gets his medical clearance post-surgery! **If you feel you could offer Cooper a peaceful, loving retirement, please follow the steps below to apply for adopt.  Quick Facts  Name: Deuri Age: 7 years old Gender: Male Neutered: Yes Breed: Beagle Mix Color: Brown and Black Weight: 16 kg Health History Vaccinations & Preventatives All vaccinations are complete and up to date.   My Story Hello there, future family! My name is Deuri, and I’m a charming and affectionate Beagle mix with a heart full of love. I’m excited to tell you a little about myself and why I think we’d make the perfect team.   Personality I’m a people-lover through and through! I’m always ready to greet new faces with a wagging tail and a happy heart. Whether you’re a close friend or someone I’ve just met, I’ll gladly nuzzle up for some attention. In fact, I’m known to roll over and show my belly as a way of saying, “Let’s be friends!” I’m also great with other dogs. I get along well with dogs of all sizes, but I especially enjoy playing with pups who are around my size or smaller. I haven’t had much experience with cats, but I’m so focused on my walks and my human that I might not even notice them.   On My Walks Walks are one of my favorite activities! I have a high energy level, which means I’m always ready for a good outdoor adventure. Sometimes, I might pull a little on the leash because I’m eager to explore, but I listen well and enjoy following your lead. A good walk or a fun trip to the dog park helps me burn off my energy, and afterward, I’m happy to relax at home with you.   Life at Home At home, I’m a mix of lively and laid-back. I’m just as comfortable running around a yard or park as I am curling up beside you after a day of play. I’m well-versed in both indoor and outdoor potty habits, making me adaptable to different routines. I have a gentle nature when it comes to food—I never guard my meals or treats, whether I’m sharing space with people or other dogs. I do have a charming habit of giving a soft bark when I want to express myself, whether it’s to say hello, ask for a treat, or let you know I’m ready for some playtime.   My Ideal Family I dream of a family that loves the outdoors as much as I do. Whether it’s exploring new trails, playing fetch in the yard, or visiting the local dog park, I’m happiest when I’m active and by your side. Here’s what I’m hoping for in my forever home: Active Companions: A family who enjoys walks, hikes, or other outdoor activities would be perfect for me. Loving Home: I thrive on love and companionship, so a family who’s around often would make me the happiest. Space to Explore: A yard to roam or regular trips to a park would be a dream come true.   Last Message If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion who will bring joy, energy, and plenty of cuddles into your life, I’m your perfect match. Let’s start our adventure together—I can’t wait to meet you! ##2251043##

Story
Quick Facts  Name: Kkongkkong Age: 1 year old Gender: Female Spayed: Yes Breed: Terrier Mix Color: Brown Weight: 7 kg Height: 37 cm (shoulder height) Health History Vaccinations & Preventatives Completed all six rounds of puppy vaccinations. Surgeries Spayed in September 2024 Other Health Notes No history of heartworm or allergies. No visible scars or history of orthopedic issues.   My Story Hello, future family! My name is Kkongkkong, and I’m a bright and cheerful little Terrier mix looking for a home where I can share my love and joy. Let me tell you my story and why I think we’d make the perfect match. I was rescued from a shelter in Gwangju just in time to avoid an uncertain fate. My sister and I were saved together when we were just three months old. While my sister, Kkungkkung, has already found her forever family, I’ve been waiting patiently. I’ve spent time in a foster home and at a shelter, and I’ve learned so much about living with people and other animals. Despite everything, I’ve remained a happy, friendly pup who loves making new friends. Now, I’m dreaming of a forever family to call my own.   Personality I’m a social butterfly! I adore meeting people—whether they’re adults or kids. I’ve even lived with a seven-year-old child and loved every minute of it. I’ll happily greet strangers with a wagging tail and might even snuggle up for a quick belly rub. When it comes to other dogs, I’m equally friendly and playful. I’m always ready to say hello, make new friends, and invite them to play. I haven’t been around cats much, but I’m calm and focused on my person during walks, so I think I’d adapt well.   On My Walks I’m a dream on the leash! I’ve had plenty of practice and walk calmly without pulling. Walks are one of my favorite parts of the day—I love exploring the world, taking in all the smells, and enjoying the fresh air. Afterward, I’m happy to relax quietly at home.   Life at Home Thanks to my time in a foster home, I’m already familiar with living indoors and know how to keep things tidy. I can use a pee pad or go outside for bathroom breaks, making me versatile and adaptable. I’m comfortable traveling in a kennel, though I might let out a little bark if I’m excited or need something. I also have a charming habit of giving a soft “woof” when I want attention or need help with something—it’s my polite way of communicating!   My Ideal Family I’m looking for a family who will embrace my friendly, affectionate nature and enjoy spending time with me. Here’s what I hope for in my forever home: Loving Companions: I thrive in a home with people who want to include me in their lives, whether that’s playing, cuddling, or going on adventures. Active Yet Balanced Lifestyle: I enjoy outdoor activities like walks and playtime but also love winding down and relaxing at home. Family-Friendly Environment: I’m great with kids and would fit right into a family with little ones.   Last Message If you’re searching for a gentle, loving, and social companion, I think we’d make the perfect team. Let’s start our story together—I can’t wait to meet you and show you all the love I have to give!    Videos https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z1_w8ch6xTc&list=PLIsLTtIpe3JyEnnx_Bfh9sbpin9pwuFFY ##2251048##
