Story
Meet Ruby, a delightful 7-year-old French Bulldog with a heart full of love! This sweet lady adores her people and thrives on companionship, always wanting to be by your side. Despite her small stature and gentle demeanor, Ruby is surprisingly strong and full of energy, so she'll need a home with an experienced family ready to help her stay active and engaged.Ruby has a few special preferences: she prefers to be the only pet in the household. She's made it clear that she does not want any canine companions, so a home without other dogs is essential for her happiness. While we're unsure how she feels about cats, we believe she'd do best as the solo star of her family.Ruby has had allergies which cause skin sensitivity. Right now, this is being managed with a hypo-allergenic diet. Ruby may require medication at some point in her life to keep her comfortable. Ruby would greatly benefit from AnimalKind training to refine her leash manners and channel her energy positively. If you're looking for a loving companion who will keep you entertained and shower you with affection, Ruby is the perfect match! Please submit a pre-adoption questionnaire here: https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/dog-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 12.9 Age: 7yrs 2mths 3wks

Story
Panda arrived at the shelter along with his sisters, Peaches & Peanut. This trio are super adorable & affectionate. They all tend to be cautious in new situations, and would benefit from building their confidence with Fear Free training. Panda has lived his life so far outside, and doesn't have experience in a home environment. We recommend working with an AnimalKind trainer to help these pups get off to a good start in their new homes! All 3 of these cuties are dog-social and would love a canine companion in their next home. Are you looking for a young, playful and active companion? Submit your application to express interest in adoption! Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: Tan Weight: 24.5 Age: 0yrs 7mths 0wks

Story
Meet Oakley: This gentle soul is a bit nervous and will need a patient and loving home to help her build her confidence. She is still learning how to navigate the world, especially on a leash, and would benefit from working with an AnimalKind trainer. She dislikes other dogs, and will react when seeing them, so she's not suitable for dog parks or daycare and will need to be the only dog in her home. She would also do best in a home with no kids or older, dog-savvy children. If you have the love and patience to help this sweet girl blossom, she may just be the perfect addition to your home! 🐾💖Interested in meeting Oakley? Please submit a pre-adoption questionnaire here: https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/dog-pre-adoption-questionnaire/🌟Oakley is currently awaiting her spay appointment, so is only available for foster-to-adopt local to the South Okanagan area🌟 Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: Tan Points Weight: 28.2 Age: 2yrs 1mths 2wks

Story
Meet Chewie! This handsome young boy is a sweet & friendly dog. Chewie loves to meet new people and greet them with a kiss. He needs some work with manners but is eager to please and will learn quickly with consistency & routine. Chewie would do best as the only pet in the home. This big bouncy boy is plenty of dog on his own! Chewie hasn't been exposed to everything dogs typically are, so he might need extra support and reassurance in new situations. This sweetie is pretty confident, but he tends to be sensitive and look to his human for comfort. Are you ready for Chewie? Submit your adoption questionnaire today! Story
Have you ever had a friend who is just sooo easy to have around that you want them to move in and stay furever? Dayna will be that kind of friend!! Dayna is a loving dog who enjoys the company of all people. Her favourite activities are going on walks, swimming and exploring her yard. She is an excellent companion for all sorts of activities and if there is a car ride involved, she is first to jump in! Her strange hobby is silencing rubber toy chickens, which is fun for her but also amusing for the people around her to watch!Dayna is the award winner for most socially awkward! Despite her enthusiasm, she doesn't understand how to properly interact with other dogs. Dayna's foster family describes it as other dogs being her kryptonite, she wants to meet every dog she sees and typically she goes in too hot making the other dog nervous of her awkwardness. If Dayna sounds like the right fit for your home, please fill in an application below! https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/dog-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 36.4 Age: 5yrs 9mths 4wks

Story
Mini came to us through our Animal Protection Department with some of her siblings. Her world was quite limited before coming into our care, so she's still adjusting to new experiences. Despite her initial nerves, Mini warms up quickly, especially when treats are involved.Puppies need lots of attention and a safe environment for them to grow into great pets. Like any baby, Mini is constantly learning. She will need help to learn the rules in a new house, things like, what to play with, where to go to the bathroom, where to sleep to name a few. She'll need annual health checks with her veterinarian for the rest of her life to keep her in optimum health. Raising a puppy is a big commitment but well worth it when you consider they will be a part of your family for many years.Adopting Mini means gaining a friend who will always be there to share in life's simple pleasures, a friend who will bring love, warmth, and happiness into your home. If Mini sounds like the right fit for your home, please fill out an application from the Shuswap branch below!https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/dog-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 8.7 Age: 0yrs 3mths 3wks
