ADOPTION ALERT: STUNNING LONG AND LEAN AVAILABLE Meet Freddie - 65lbs of energy, enthusiasm and joy Birthday: Not quite sure but some time in October of 2024 Weight: A looooong and lean 65lbs Currently in Foster in Nelson, BC Who is he? an eager to please, clever goofball, extremely smart, food motivated, playful & enthusiastic, FAST... this boy can run...Loves routine! Skills include: - did we mention he is FAST! He would be GREAT at agility - 10/10 on the cuddle scale - a bit like a house alarm, will bark to alert you (with positive reinforcement he knows to cease when instructed) - 10/10 on bringing joy and enthusiasm to all things in life - plays well with other dogs after proper introduction - loves to learn and work - good with horses, chickens and cats - great in the car and is crate trained for short periods of down time (overnight he prefers his own bed or yours) Work in Progress includes: - can be reactive with new dogs if not introduced properly - shy when meeting new people or dogs - his early life in the shelter has caused him to be wary of strangers but once he knows you, he warms right up - trust is earned with Freddie, not given automatically Ideal home: - ideally with a doggie sibling who will tolerate his playful puppy-ness but could be an only dog as long as he had regular play dates - he loves routine - rural setting away from the hustle and bustle of city life - fenced outdoor space he can safely explore - people who will worship him and make him feel safe and loved - humans with experience with shy dogs who can boost his confidence - a life that offers adventure and allows him to grow into the amazing dog he is becoming - a home willing to continue his raw feeding Medical Flex: - he is healthy, raw fed and has delayed neuter to allow his growth plates to close Freddie’s Dream: Find a human who loves him as much as he loves to run! Someone who will be patient with him as he finds his way and overcomes “stranger danger” and loves to cuddle on the couch.

Story
Meet Gouda! He is a 3-year-old Husky/Shepherd mix, searching for his forever home. This sweet guy is a bit of a wallflower at first, but once he gets settled in, his upbeat and loving nature comes out, and he is ready to play and snuggle! Gouda came from a home where he didn't meet a whole lot of people or experience much of the world, but he often enjoyed having an animal companion or two. So, while he is still learning the world and getting used to making new friends, his sweet-natured heart makes him an easy guy to love. Gouda is believed to be a Husky/German Shepherd/Mastiff mix, making him a combination of three large and powerful breeds. He is very intelligent, and has high needs when it comes to play, exercise, and mental stimulation. His breed tendencies can also make him apprehensive of strangers and exceptionally loyal. Potential adopters will need to be willing to create a safe space for Gouda, while also encouraging him to enjoy new experiences. He is a nervous fella, and he is not interested in people rushing in to pet him, so he'll need guardians willing to Gouda gets his name from his love of cheese! A love that runs so deep that he's had to go on a little diet. He is temporarily on a prescription weight loss food to help him reach a healthy weight. Once he does, he will be ok to enjoy large breed adult food. This kind, fluffy boy needs lots of room to roam and a comfy place outside to enjoy some fresh air. His future guardians will need to be dog savvy people who can accommodate his social needs. Gouda is currently awaiting dental surgery and is available for Foster-To-Adopt until he is medically cleared. If you think Gouda could be a good fit for you, please fill out an application below. https://spca.bc.ca/survey/dog-adoption-application-kamloops/ *TIP: We encourage all applicants to write a little bit about themselves when prompted. Leaving these questions empty inhibits our ability to make the best match possible and drastically affects the likelihood of receiving a call back.* Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 49 Age: 3yrs 4mths 1wks

Story
Max is a charming 7-year-old mix with the best of three breeds and a personality that's full of heart. Known for his adorable "wiggle butt," Max doesn't just wag his tail-he wags his whole body when he's happy (which is often when he sees his favorite people). He's deeply affectionate and thrives on human connection. Max can have some anxiety when left alone, so he'd do best in a home where someone is around more often, or where he can be supported with structure and reassurance.Max needs to be the only dog in the household, as he prefers to have all the love and attention to himself. That said, he's shown a sweet curiosity and gentle affection toward kittens, which might make him a good fit for a home with feline friends (with proper introductions, of course).Max is looking for a dedicated, dog-savvy adopter who understands that behind his big feelings is a big-hearted, loyal companion just waiting for the right person to love. Please submit an application through the link below for Mr. Max!https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/dog-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: White Secondary Color: Red Brown Weight: 26 Age: 7yrs 3mths 3wks

Story
A bit about Obi- Likes meeting new people- Okay with children- he is selective about his dog friends, may be best as the only dog in the house- Not good with cats.Obi is a loyal, affectionate companion who loves being close to his people. He thrives on togetherness, enjoys learning new things, and is more than happy to follow you from room to room. He's also an A+ snuggler-his favorite moments are spent curled up under a shady tree while you read, watch the clouds, or enjoy a cozy nap together.Obi does like to use his voice and will bark (loudly!) when he hears or sees something interesting. Because of this, he hasn't been successful in homes where he shares a wall with neighbors. He knows some basic commands and is eager to please, though he is strong and sometimes uses his size to get his way. He's currently a bit on the plump side, so a healthy diet and some extra activity will do him well. With his strength, smarts, loyalty, and snuggly personality, Obi will make a wonderful partner for an active person or family who also appreciates slow, lazy afternoons together. Please fill out our pre-adoption questionnaire (linked below) if you would like to know more about Obihttps://spca.bc.ca/adoption/dog-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: Tan Secondary Color: Black Weight: 51.3 Age: 5yrs 1mths 1wks
