Story
Keisha – 37 lbs, 3 year old Shepherd cross is looking for a home. Keisha is a super sweet and smart girl, and sweetheart to the volunteers who visit her at the SPCA PV sanctuary. Keisha was found in the hills around Puerto Vallarta tied up, hungry, trying to care for and protect her 6 young pups. After her rescue the SPCA PV learned that Keisha is blind from being poisoned. Despite this tough early life, Keisha is very sweet and friendly with humans and dogs (she is even ok being carried). On her walks she doesn't pull and likes to sniff a lot (her nose is her eyes). Keisha is spayed, vaccinated, healthy, and now has a full belly every day, which makes her very happy. She'd love to make up for a tough early start with a warm loving home. If interested, please email pvcaadoptions@gmail.com and tell us a little about yourself.

Story
Meet Rex!!If you're looking for a goofy dog to make you laugh and smile while he wiggles and dances through the air, you've met the right one! This fella gets the ultimate zoomies when he's excited, and will race around his space showing off just how fast and funny he is! He tosses his toys up in the air with joy as he races to catch them! He LOVES his people once he gets to know them, and really makes sure he shows you just how special you are to him! He can get excited and jump up a bit, but has been improving already in his short time here and sure to keep learning more!He seems to really enjoy puzzle toys and snuffle matts, and loves to keep his brain busy. He is very tidy in his room at night, and doesn't make a fuss or mess when he has to go back to his room! Since we have no history on this fella, we have noticed he does need an extra few moments and reassurance meeting new people, but does great as soon as he knows what you're all about! He would thrive with an understanding home who is ready to learn all about Rex! Rex doesn't seem overly keen on other male dogs, but does seem to really enjoy similar sized female dogs, so surely wouldn't mind dog friends to see on adventures but would be best living alone! This fella is ready for walks and love, and hopes to call you his very own!If you are interested, please submit our Dog Pre-Adoption Questionnaire below!! Primary Color: Tan Secondary Color: White Weight: 31.3 Age: 2yrs 1mths 2wks

Story
Majestic Merlin is here to cast his spells on your heart and take you on grand adventures! This ADORABLE floofball is such a sweet boy, and sure to capture the hearts of those who are fans of the fun and fluffy! At nearly a year old, this pup is still PACKED full of that fun, sassy husky pup energy and here to tell you all about it! He loves to be with his people, and will eagerly play ball, tug and chase with you! He is still learning about jumping up, and is getting better each day with redirection and positive reinforcement! He LOVES food so much!!Merlin has spent most of his life outside alone, and is still getting used to the luxuries of indoor life! New places can be a bit overwhelming, but with snacks and a friend with kind words, he is tackling his new world with ease.As his breeds are known to do, this fella sure can have a lot to say about how he feels, and is eager to gossip his stories to you. He loves to visit his new friends, and really enjoys canine companionship! However, Merlin can be a little too exuberant and fixated on his new friends and would benefit from being the only dog in the home until this big puppy can learn some more doggy manners/social cues.Merlin is a very wonderful, energy packed dog with a lot of love to offer! If you are seeking a new snow loving companion to dote on, Merlin is your man! Primary Color: Tri Color Weight: 29.2 Age: 1yrs 0mths 3wks

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
This sweet little guy is looking for a home where his family will understand his needs. Jojo started life in a sad situation, found a perfect home then lost his best friend. He will need a home where is new family understands that sometimes he gets scared of people and their intentions. As he was not allowed to be a puppy and grow up a rambunctious toddler, he is always scared that life will go back to his earlier days.In his previous home, Jojo was learning to be a dog but still was scared of the confinement aspect or what may be confinement. He tends to gravitate to men but woman are super great too. He is always up for meeting and playing with new friends, although they have to be dog savy as well as sometimes he forgets that not everyone wants to play all the time. He has no prey drive and seems to respect cats, but has never lived with them. Jojo has impeccable house manners and is very respectful of being allowed to roam the home freely. He does not chew, destroy or jump on furniture until he is told that he is allowed. He does love his bed though so that seems to be where he goes when he is tired. Loud noises scare him and he will run to hide, usually to his bed. Kids? Well Jojo loves them the most as they have a ton of energy like him.Jojo will need to have a home where he has a completely fenced in yard. He likes to go for walks, and is good with his manners to stay close to you on leash. We are learning recall skills but that will take some positive reinforcement. This little guy would love to have a dog friend that he can play with, and it will help with his confidence. We are waiting for Jojo to have a dental done, which is booked already. If you have previous experience with positive reinforcement training with shy/under-socialized dogs, go to our website to fill out an application. We will review all applications, but only those selected for an interview will be contacted. We will gather applications to review in the new year. Primary Color: Tan Age: 6yrs 7mths 3wks
