Meet Tyson: Your Future Best Friend! 🐾Tyson's story has had some ups and downs. After being adopted in March and spending nine months in a loving home, this sweet boy has found himself back at the shelter. This poor guy just can't seem to catch a break-but we know the right home is out there for him!Tyson is the perfect "shop dog"-he loves being with his person and feeling safe. Crowds and other dogs aren't his thing, so if you can respect that, Tyson will truly be the definition of "man's best friend."He's a laid-back couch potato who prefers snuggles over adventures. Tyson thrives in a calm, adult-only home and would do best as the only dog. He's had a rough past and even overcame surgery for a severe ear infection, but through it all, he's remained a sweet, loyal boy who just wants someone to love him forever. If you're looking for a chill companion who will stick by your side and shower you with love, Tyson is your guy. Please submit an online application-he's ready for his happy ending! 💖🐶***UPDATE! Tyson met a cat and thought it was pretty cool!!! Story
Hello future friends! 🐾My name is Pretzel, and I'm looking for my furever family! I'm a Samoyed mix with a big heart and lots of love to give. I'm a good girl-I know lots of commands and even use a doggy doorbell to let you know when I need to go outside for potty breaks. Pretty smart, right? I get along with most dogs I meet and would love a well matched dog friend to play with. However, I don't understand why I can't chase cats around the house so ideally, I would do best in a home with no small animals. My previous family couldn't give me the attention and time I need. I'm still young which means I have lots of puppy energy and need walks, playtime, and mental enrichment to help me be my best self. I love being outdoors and exploring! A fully fenced and secure yard would be my preference, as I love to zoom around! I would need to be supervised for yard time though, as I love digging. I also LOVE to chew things! So providing me with lots of opportunity to play with toys, chew things in a controlled setting and lots of enrichment is a must otherwise I might chew on something I am not suppose too out of boredom.I can feel anxious sometimes, especially with loud sounds or meeting new people, but I'm working on it. My life has been a little topsy-turvy lately, and I just need time and patience to feel safe again. My forever family will need to help me with my confidence and trust building. If you're looking for a sweet, smart, and active pup who will love you forever, I might just be your girl. Could you be the one to give me the home I've been dreaming of?Love, Pretzel 💕*Please note - Dog meets are by appointment only. If you are interested in meeting Pretzel, the first step is to complete your online application. Staff will contact the approved applicant to discuss further. We are currently seeking an adopter within the Fraser Valley as Pretzel is scheduled to be spayed on January 2nd at a clinic in Abbotsford. Story
Isla is a gorgeous, middle-aged Husky with a heart full of love and a spirit built for adventure. Loyal, outgoing, and just the right amount of mischievous, Isla is the perfect companion for an active home looking for a fun-loving and devoted friend.Like most Huskies, Isla is athletic and energetic - she thrives on long walks, outdoor play, and mental stimulation. (Bonus: she's great on leash!) Despite her age, she's still got plenty of pep in her step and would love a home that can keep up with her adventurous side.Isla absolutely adores being with her people and can get quite anxious when left alone, so a home where someone is around most of the time would be ideal. She must always be walked on a secure harness or supervised in a fully fenced yard - she's a curious girl with a knack for escaping if left to her own devices! This clever lady does have a strong prey drive and can't resist chasing small animals, so a securely enclosed space is a must. She may be able to live with another dog, but introductions should be slow, calm, and carefully managed to ensure a good fit.If you're looking for a loyal companion who will join you on every adventure and reward you with endless affection, Isla might just be the one for you!Submit an online application at adopt.spca.bc.ca and staff will contact the first suitable adopter to set-up a visit! Meet Ziggy!Do you need a zig to your zag? Ziggy is ready to jump into your arms this holiday season. Ziggy is very shy to meet new people but she isn't one to run away. She will come up and sniff you, maybe give a lick. The best way to her heart is to offer treats or to throw her ball. Ziggy does amazing in reception with the staff, always curious of who walks in the door. Ziggy tends to bark at cats but plays very well with other dogs. We even think she would do well in a home with another dog.If you are interested in Ziggy, please fill out the online application and we will contact you to set up a meet + greet Primary Color: Brindle Secondary Color: White Weight: 29 Age: 1yrs 0mths 4wks
