Story
January 2021- Della and Darby are still looking for homes to call their own. This year they will have been in our rescue for 8 years!!! Della and Darby were rescued at 6 weeks old with the rest of their siblings. The rest of their siblings got adopted but for some reason these two never found their forever homes. We have tried everything we can think of to find these two awesome dogs a home to call their own. They have the deck stacked against them, they are black dogs who are older, they have to go to a home together and there cannot be any other animals in the home. They do take a little while to warm up to new people but once they they are your best friend. They are both spayed/neutered, up to date on shots, housebroken, crate trained, love to go for walks, and play in their pool when it gets hot. We know finding them a home might be a long shot but we aren't giving up on these 2. If you are interested in giving these two a home to call their own please contact us, you won't be sorry.

Story
Inessa has LOST 2 homes due to no fault of her own. The first time she was adopted, she was the companion of an autistic child. Slept in the bed every night. Her human mom got married to a man who also had a female dog. They did not get along, so Inessa got returned to the rescue. Inessa loved her 2nd dad. Slept in the bed with him, took goofy pics together, had a dog brother. She was living the good life. However, life happens and her dad had to go to rehab. Inessa ended back at the rescue. Inessa is a great dog! House trained. Crate trained. She’s no trouble at all. She’s happy to do whatever you’re happy doing. She deserves to live out her life on a couch. She does not prefer to be around other female dogs, but may be able to have the right male doggie pal. Story
Meet Pauletta: A Strong and Sweet Survivor Pauletta is a striking fawn and white English Bulldog pit mix with a heart as big as her muscles. At around 6 to 7 years old and weighing about 60 lbs, Pauletta is as strong as an ox—she’s got the power of a linebacker and could easily pull a grown man off his feet! Even a pinch collar doesn’t slow her down. Despite her strength, Pauletta is one of the sweetest dogs you’ll ever meet. She adores massages and will happily relax by your side when given some love and attention. Pauletta’s story is one of resilience. She was confiscated as part of a cruelty case when she was just about a year old, but that hasn’t dimmed her spirit. Now, she’s ready for a forever home where she can be safe and loved. Because of her strong personality, Pauletta isn’t great with other dogs. She tends to be a bit of a bully, nudging them around as if to challenge them, so she’s best suited for a home where she can be the only pet. Due to her strength and temperament, she should be exercised in a backyard rather than on the street. If you’re looking for a strong, loving companion who has overcome adversity and is ready to be your loyal sidekick, Pauletta is your girl! If you would like to be considered for adoption, please complete the adoption questionnaire on our website www.heartsofgoldpitrescue.com.
