Story
Alexa is 70 pound pit bull terrier who is around 6 years old. Although big and solid, this girl is super sweet with her people, including a four-year-old child living with her. Alexa is good on leash and loves going for runs with her foster dad. She does not need to be on leash for her runs, but she does well on leash and rides in a car beautifully. All vetting is up to date and Alexa is heartworm negative. She is crate trained, house trained and knows some commands such as "sit". Alexa lives near a pond and in the summer she enjoys splashing around.Alexa currently lives with another female dog and they are fine together, however, due to an issue with a small, bossy dog in a previous situation, we would like to place her in an only-dog home with no children. Alexa does not seem to have a mean bone in her body, but she is big and stout and could easily knock down a small child. Children over the age of 12 would be best. Adoption fee for Alexa is $150. Story
Niko was kept in an outdoor kennel as a puppy, with little chance to get out and play. So when you first meet him, he is shy for the first 30 minutes or so. After that, he warms up quickly and loves to snuggle in close for pets and love. Niko walks great on a leash and would make a great companion because of his loving disposition. That beautiful coat is only matched by his beautiful heart. He is currently living at a boarding facility because we haven't had a foster home open up. We would love for him to find an adoptive family, but at least, would love for someone to step up and foster him. Francis had been a stray for several weeks. He was very scared at first and kept running away from help. But finally, he was caught and brought to safety! He appears to have been hit by a car and is very thin. But he is the sweetest and happiest boy! He is loving getting to live in a house with people who care about him! Francis is just grateful to be alive! He is good with kids, and interested in other dogs. He is learning how to play with toys and be a happy dog! This boy has a long road to recovery but he will make it! He’s got a strong and resilient spirit! To make the best possible match for you and the pet, please follow the link below to complete the Adoption Application. Story
Abbey was a stray who hopped right into the vehicle of a kind couple who stopped to feed her! She is extremely sweet and gentle! She loves to play and already knows several basic commands! Abbey is very loving and wants a person of her own! She came into rescue with limp. Upon further investigation, it appears that she suffered a trauma. Most likely she was hit by a car. X rays have shown that nothing can be fixed surgically but she will need long term medications and possibly injections to manage. Her paw and pelvis have been affected. But this does not stop this sweet girl from getting around! She will just need a family who can give her the care that she will need.To make the best possible match for you and the pet, please follow the link below to complete the Adoption Application. Story
Meet Chessie! This stunning young brindle beauty, not yet a year old, is looking for her perfect match to start 2025 with endless adventures! With her athletic build and expressive eyes, Chessie is the kind of dog who makes an impression - and once you get to know her, you'll discover her heart is as beautiful as her striking coat.Chessie is the definition of a loyal companion who lives for quality time with her people. Whether she's joining you for a car ride (her absolute favorite!), exploring new places, or showing off how attentive she is during training sessions, this energetic girl puts her whole heart into everything she does. Her friendly, outgoing personality makes her a natural social butterfly when it comes to meeting new people, and she forms deep bonds with those she loves.Already crate trained and with all the enthusiasm of youth, this smart girl is eager to learn and grow with you. At less than a year old, Chessie would thrive in an active home that can match her energy and enthusiasm for life. She'd make an ideal companion for a family with children over 5 years old (her excitement sometimes makes her forget her size when greeting smaller kids!), and she gets along wonderfully with larger dogs who can keep up with her playful spirit.Like many confident dogs, Chessie knows exactly what she wants in life - and what she doesn't! She prefers to be the smaller pup in any canine friendship, so homes with smaller dogs wouldn't be a good fit. Due to her interest in chasing fast-moving creatures, she needs a home without chickens or cats, where she can focus her energy on being your devoted companion instead. Are you looking for a loyal, loving partner who'll be up for any adventure? Do you have the active lifestyle and secure yard where this enthusiastic girl can thrive? Chessie might be your perfect match! She's ready to start 2025 by becoming the best friend you've been dreaming of - the kind who'll greet each morning with a wagging tail, share every adventure with unbridled joy, and end each day reminding you why dog really is man's best friend. Could you be the lucky person to give this devoted girl her forever best-friend status? Please contact pricerhonda50@gmail.comTo make the best possible match for you and the pet, please follow the link below to complete the Adoption Application.
