Story
Update for February 4, 2026. We are still looking for a forever home for this beautiful female. Bella is about 3 years old and 60 pounds. Her owner abandoned her. She is spayed and current on all vaccines. Checked out at our vet in good health. She's very smart and eager to please. She has a very sweet disposition and handles well on a leash. She has been at our dog trainer in Denton, Texas for nearly 2 months and we've found that she does not get along with other females or neutered males. She would make a great home where she is the only dog. We cannot keep her at the dog trainer for much longer and may have to turn her over to a county facility and that may not end well. Please let me know if you're interested.

Story
Mulligan’s DNA Said he’s 1/4 Leopard Hound, 1/4 Beagle, 1/4 Boston Terrier and 1/4 Pyrenees. He’s fully grown and petite at just 35 lbs. He has had some rough experiences, and you can see it in the way he flinches and stays on edge. His fight-or-flight is always on — not because he’s aggressive, but because he’s scared. He has never shown aggression, but he cannot be in a home with kids because fast movements and loud noises overwhelm him. Once he decides you’re safe, he follows you everywhere and doesn’t like for you to leave his sight. He snuggles beside you at night. And he becomes incredibly sweet and loyal. What he does well: • Loves other dogs (they boost his confidence) • House trained • Good in public with a dog buddy • Cuddles once he bonds • Sticks close to his person What he’s still learning: • Trusting new people • Commands • Harness walking • Building confidence • Crates — he will go in a crate, but he has confinement anxiety and barks Mulligan needs a quiet, patient home with at least one confident dog. He’s not the instant-easy type, but once he trusts you, he loves deeply. If you’re someone who understands trauma dogs and wants a loyal companion who just needs time, message us to meet Mulligan. 🖤

Chaka is a loyal, medium sized dog, resulting in the sweetest brown eyes and a perpetually wagging tail. He offers quiet companionship and grateful affection, as if he already knows you saved him. He is heartworm positive and currently being treated. He needs a big yard to live in or somewhere away from a main road, as he likes to chase cars. He’s full of love and energy!

She has a good disposition and doesn’t seem to have any aggression. She’s very friendly with humans, and is learning to be a on a leash. Shes good with other dogs. She’s also currently on the euthanasia list if we can’t find her a home so we need someone to take her ASAP!

Story
Meet Sumo: A Loyal Velcro Bully Seeking a Forever Couch Sumo is a 100+lb bundle of pure affection. At 8 years young, he is looking for a stable place to land after being abandoned by his previous owner. Sumo is the ultimate Velcro he thrives on human connection and will follow you from room to room just to stay close. He is a big, clumsy, blocky-headed guy who has no idea how large he is, which only adds to his charm. He is incredibly loving, needy for attention, and protective of his people. The Ideal Home: Sumo likes to be the Alpha and is best as an outside dog. Playful/tolerant with other dogs. Patient Leader: He is a sensitive soul who experiences submissive urination when excited or nervous. He needs a calm, consistent routine. Experienced Owner: He is a smart boy who needs a firm, steady hand as he can be resistant to traditional discipline. 15 shelters/bully rescues have been contacted and are at capacity. I do not have much time left until I am surrendered. 1APR26

Fostering dog that was rescued. She’s a very sweet dog and smart but we just don’t have the time to train her and work with her or provide the attention she needs. She is potty trained and great with our other dogs.
