Story
Roscoe came to Pathways from a hoarding case in Santa Cruz. He is a bit hesitant around humans because he hasn't had much interaction with them. Once you earn his trust, he is the sweetest boy and loves to receive affection. Roscoe is still fairly young, and with some encouragement he's open to playing. He just needs to know he is allowed to. Once you see his smile, you can't help but want to see it all the time. Our hope is that he finds a family who will strive to make him smile each day, going forward, as he deserves.  Roscoe is a 3-year-old Labrador retriever who gets along great with dogs of all sizes, we are unsure of how he would do with cats. Due to his shyness, he may do better in a home with older children. He will need some work with a leash; however, he is kennel trained. Roscoe will need some reinforcement with his potty training. He's never had to have indoor manners. He is current on all vaccines, microchipped and neutered.  Please complete an adoption application at www.pathwaysforpaws.com. If he fits your family and lifestyle, you will be contacted within 48 hours. Click HERE for the adoption application ##2087415##

Story
Tappy arrived with us at a young age, we took notice immediately on her front legs going off to the side. Yet, in our eyes, she is perfect.  She would like a family who accepts her as she is. Her turned legs does not change her personality or her ability to keep up and continue on with what she enjoys doing.  She is happy to be around other dogs, she does not care what size. Tappy enjoys her people time, even though it takes her time to warm up and allow you to be her friend.  Tappy is vaccinated, microchipped and spayed. She is almost two years old and weighs a little less than 20 lbs. Please complete an adoption application at www.pathwaysforpaws.com. Story
Howdy Chip Chip and his siblings were surrendered. They were born to a family who did not Fix the parents.  Unfortunately, he is one of millions of unwanted dogs. He is very unsure of what is going on around him. He has only known one family. He wants to accept the love , but he’s unsure of how to as it appears he has never had that.  We see he does not discriminate with dogs as he gets along with all sizes. He’s learning to go outside to go potty and to learn trust from the humans around him. He is almost 2, neutered, microchipped and vaccinated. We feel the family that fits Chip, is one that does not have high expectations right away. One who has patience and will understand as he comes around and learns to trust. Chip does not have a mean bone in his fearful body. We can tell he wants the opportunity to have his own family and to be a dog without fear. If Chip sounds like a man you are willing to accept please submit an adoption application at www.pathwaysforpaws.com. If he fits your family and lifestyle, you will be contacted within 48 hours. Story
Max is from Beatrix’s litter. Momma Beatrix is a Brussels Griffon, we are unsure of what the dad may be.  Born in January, he is all puppy still, and cute as can be. Max will need guidance from her new family for continued potty training, kennel training and leash training when old enough.  As a puppy, he gets along with all sized humans and dogs. We are unsure of cats. He is neutered, microchipped and current on vaccines.  Momma Beatrix has been adopted, it’s now time for her babies to find their furever Please complete an adoption application at www.pathwaysforpaws.com. Story
Hi, I’m Emma. I had a rough start in life, but I’m doing great now. I’m always in a good mood, unless I’m chasing the birds in my back yard--then, I’m pretty fierce. I love to play retrieving my toys but also love to watch TV with my foster parent. I love everyone--dogs and humans. It doesn’t matter if you’re short or tall, I’m not intimidated at all. I was very skinny when I got here and still am on the slim side (10 lbs.), but I do like my food and like to graze a little all day. I’ve learned the doggy door and fly out of it 100 times a day going after whatever I think is out there. My voice is a little high-pitched because I am almost deaf and can be a bit “barky”. The vet said that he thinks I have a lot of birth defects that affect my balance and make my back end a little weak. Because my teeth are out of line and some are missing, my tongue sticks out. I haven’t been around kids at all so I don’t know how good I’ll be with them, but I’d say that young children would not be good for me.

Story
**Foster Notes:** Buddy is an absolute charmer and an incredible dog! He thrives on being close to his people and is deeply focused on them, always staying by your side as you move around the house. He’s highly responsive to voice commands and eager to please, making him a joy to have around. Buddy loves car rides and absolutely adores going on walks—he’ll be ready to accompany you anytime you head out. He gets along well with other dogs and is somewhat playful, but he’d also be perfectly happy as the only spoiled pet in the home. He’s familiar with using a pet door and hasn’t had any accidents in his foster home, though we can’t fully guarantee he’s housebroken. Despite being a bit older, Buddy is lively and full of energy, with plenty of active years ahead of him. He has been recently diagnosed with mild congestive heart failure, which is well-managed with daily medication. With proper care, he’s expected to enjoy a full and happy life. If you’re looking for a loyal and devoted companion, Buddy is the perfect match. He’ll shower you with endless love and affection in exchange for your care and attention.
