Story
I adopted Roan a year ago and as a single person he was a phenomenal dog. He is now 1.5 years old, absolutely loves other dogs, is home and crate trained, is a great couch cuddler, knows many commands and is very food motivated therefore easy to train. He is incredibly loyal, rarely barks, and has the best calm demeanor. His favorite activities include sniffing all the things on a walk and hanging out in a window watching the world go by. Shortly after I adopted him, I met my partner, who has cats and a child. We recently moved in together and despite months of trying, this is no longer the best environment for Roan. I am looking to rehome Roan with someone who can give him the best environment to thrive in. He’d do great with other dogs in the house (does not resource guard, shares toys) but no children or cats please.

Story
JoJo is ready for a family. JoJo came in with some terrible skin problems. He had raw areas, dark thick areas, patches without fur, and open sores. He was extremely itchy and getting worse. He got in to see our partner vet at Heidi’s Village and was put on a treatment plan which worked wonderfully. Now, he’s looking for the perfect family. JoJo is a 2.5 year old, 17 or so pound Pug. He’s pretty kicked back, loving, obviously handsome, and ready to be adopted. JoJo has been neutered, microchipped, licensed with Maricopa County, and is up to date on vaccines.

DOB: 2/11/2022 Breed: Irish terrier mix Neutered Male ~ 50 lbs.~ Microchipped & fully vaccinated. Negative for heartworm & tick-borne diseases, and on a monthly preventative Adoption Fee $350A little bit about me...Hello, I'm Alfred, nice to meet you all. I am a big boy who has a lot to learn about the world and what my place is in it. I came from an under socialized situation, but since being at the shelter, I have come out of my shell and started learning the way of the dog. I have a few quirks I have developed in my life, one being my affinity of booping my peoples faces and generally being spatially rude, but with a little work you can help me correct these tokens of affection into more appropriate and less startling gestures. I may be a little much for young children since I have not had much experience with them, but I have showed signs of being an amazing family dog with the right training and guidance. The highlights... Very friendly with lots of different dogs A little weird, and a booping fiend I am very active and can benefit from lots of exercise. Will want to cuddle and roll around with youMy ideal home would include... A family that has time, patience, and a plan for training. I'm a bit behind the curve on basics. I am young and active, so I am looking for someone who has time to dedicate to exercising me as well as providing me with mental stimulation. I am a friendly guy looking for a home that understands my quirks and wants to help me learn new behaviors!

DOB: 12/27/2020 Breed: Catahoula Leopard dog mix Neutered Male 55 lbs. Microchipped & fully vaccinated. Negative for heartworm & tick-borne diseases, and on a monthly preventative Adoption Fee $350A little bit about me...Hello prospective families, I'm Wink! I found myself lost running the streets when I met this awesome dog named Khaleesi, who guided us to the shelter to get us some help finding new forever homes. I am an extremely shy guy that will be looking for a home that has tons of patience to continue to help me gain confidence and come out of my shell. I'm not one for lots of commotion, as I tend to shut down and run to my safe spaces, but since I came into my foster home, I have made huge strides towards becoming a more out-going guy. I know I will take a while to settle into a new home, but if you saw me in action in my foster home, I have lots of promise. My best-friend/foster brother and I love to run around the backyard together, take walks together, and then relax with our foster-dads while watching movies on the patio. I do have a medical issue that's requires me to take an enzyme powder with each meal to ensure I absorb all the nutrients in my food. Ever since I started my medication, I got back to my expected weight and have steadily increased my stamina to live a normal life. I am now ready to move on to my new family and earn the security and warmth that comes with it.The highlights... I'm a runner, for fun and when scared. I take a little bit to warm up to new people I am dog selective and seem to prefer smaller dogs. I love hard bones that keep me occupied for hours. My perfect home would include... Someone who understands that I can be selective with the types of dogs I like to interact with. During my stay at the shelter I have been introduced to different types of dogs, and it seems that I am very dog selective. I tend to gravitate towards dogs that are smaller than me, and those who are respectful Patience! I am very shy and still working on coming out of my shell. Experience with medical cases to ease the mind of my shelter friends that my issues are taken seriously. A quieter home free of screaming kids and high energy dogs.

Story
~Neutered Male ~Microchipped & fully vaccinated. ~Negative for heartworm & tick-borne diseases, and on a monthly preventative ~Adoption Fee $300 A little bit about me... Greetings animal lovers, I'm Princeton, a big scruffy guy searching for a place to call home. I came to Sun Valley with a bunch of my "family" members after we were saved from a less than ideal situation. I have lived most of my life outdoors, and was not properly socialized with anyone, so I am a little quirky. I have no manners and live my life like a bull in a China shop, however I have come a long way since I came to the shelter, so I have the potential to catchup with my training. I can be a bit picky with my people, but once you're in, you're in. I love playing with other furry friends, but I still need a lot of work on my social cues and playstyle. I would like and need a home that has some training experience, as I would not be suitable for first time dog parents. Small children may not be in the cards right now, but maybe in the future I'll have my act together. So come sign up for the project that is Princeton! The highlights... ~Plays very rough with other dogs. ~A little weird, and a booping fiend ~I am very active and can benefit from lots of exercise. ~Lots of energy and spunk My ideal home would include... ~A family that has time, patience, and a plan for training. I'm a bit behind the curve on basics. ~Experience with training, and/or under-socialized dogs! ~Less is more. I might be better with one or two people to start off, as I may get overwhelmed with a chaotic home.

Story
Spayed Female ~30 lbs. and counting~ Microchipped & fully vaccinated. Negative for heartworm & tick-borne diseases, and on a monthly preventative Adoption Fee $300A little bit about me...Hey all, I'm Veruca, an itty bitty pitty with a big girl personality on the hunt for a new home. My siblings and I came to Sun Valley from a chaotic situation and are now ready to make one last move. I am small, but I like to play rough and have fun on my own terms, so I may not be every dog's cup of tea. I am going to benefit from an experienced home that has a good training plan and tons of patience, as I have only just started working on myself since I got to the shelter. I am a smart girl that will need a lot of physical and mental stimulation to keep me happy and healthy, so an active home would be ideal. I am young enough be molded into an amazing pup with the proper guidance by my people, and I guarantee the reward of having me will be worth it!The highlights... I NEED to be exercised daily I am energetic and very strong MUST own your own home, I'm a restricted breed Very smart, teach me a s much as possibleMy ideal home would include... A family that has time, patience, and a plan for potty training. Any dog that's introduced to a new environment is bound to have accidents, whether they're an adult dog or a puppy. I will need my humans to have a plan for potty training and show me where and when I'm expected to go potty. I am a playful girl who loves to play with friendly dogs, so keeping me social is important. I play well with the other dogs in a playgroup, but they need to be able to keep up with rough play style. Patience and a plan for training. If not properly worked with any dog can develop bad habits and personalities.
