Story
Anakin Black Lab Age 9 Best with no small children Ok with small dogs, would be best as the only dog Fully potty trained and used to using a dog door Knows how to sit and shake. Knows “down” and “drop it” Loves walks but does pull on the leash because he gets really excited, but he will walk with you as long as you want Anakin is very loving and sweet. He wants nothing more than to hang out on the couch with his humans. He wants to be wherever you are and cover you with kisses. He loves toys and will pull all the fluff out if they’re not tough enough! Tug of war is one of his favorite games to play. He does get nervous around new people and will bark until he gets used to them. He has a prescription for trazodone to help with that anxiety. I can give refill it and give that to you. Unfortunately, he did bite my daughter twice in the span of 2 years. Both time were because he was startled from sleep and his space was not respected

Story
~DOB: 2/11/2022 ~Neutered Male ~ 50 lbs.~ ~Microchipped & fully vaccinated. ~Negative for heartworm & tick-borne diseases, and on a monthly preventative ~Adoption Fee $350A little bit about me... Hello, I'm Alfred, nice to meet you all. I am a big boy who has a lot to learn about the world and what my place is in it. I came from an under socialized situation, but since being at the shelter, I have come out of my shell and started learning the way of the dog. I have a few quirks I have developed in my life, one being my affinity of booping my peoples faces and generally being spatially rude, but with a little work you can help me correct these tokens of affection into more appropriate and less startling gestures. I may be a little much for young children since I have not had much experience with them, but I have showed signs of being an amazing family dog with the right training and guidance. The highlights... ~Very friendly with lots of different dogs ~A little weird, and a booping fiend ~ I am very active and can benefit from lots of exercise. ~Will want to cuddle and roll around with youMy ideal home would include... ~A family that has time, patience, and a plan for training. I'm a bit behind the curve on basics. ~I am young and active, so I am looking for someone who has time to dedicate to exercising me as well as providing me with mental stimulation. I am a friendly guy looking for a home that understands my quirks and wants to help me learn new behaviors!

~Neutered Male ~Microchipped & fully vaccinated. ~Negative for heartworm & tick-borne diseases, and on a monthly preventative ~Adoption Fee $300 ~55 lbs.A little bit about me...Greetings animal lovers, I'm Princeton, a big scruffy guy searching for a place to call home. I came to Sun Valley with a bunch of my "family" members after we were saved from a less than ideal situation. I have lived most of my life outdoors, and was not properly socialized with anyone, so I am a little quirky. I have no manners and live my life like a bull in a China shop, however I have come a long way since I came to the shelter, so I have the potential to catchup with my training. I can be a bit picky with my people, but once you're in, you're in. I love playing with other furry friends, but I still need a lot of work on my social cues and playstyle. I would like and need a home that has some training experience, as I would not be suitable for first time dog parents. Small children may not be in the cards right now, but maybe in the future I'll have my act together. So come sign up for the project that is Princeton! The highlights... ~Plays very rough with other dogs. ~A little weird, and a booping fiend ~I am very active and can benefit from lots of exercise. ~Lots of energy and spunkMy ideal home would include... ~A family that has time, patience, and a plan for training. I'm a bit behind the curve on basics. ~Experience with training, and/or under-socialized dogs! ~Less is more. I might be better with one or two people to start off, as I may get overwhelmed with a chaotic home.

Story
Spayed Female ~30 lbs. and counting~ Microchipped & fully vaccinated. Negative for heartworm & tick-borne diseases, and on a monthly preventative Adoption Fee $300A little bit about me...Hey all, I'm Veruca, an itty bitty pitty with a big girl personality on the hunt for a new home. My siblings and I came to Sun Valley from a chaotic situation and are now ready to make one last move. I am small, but I like to play rough and have fun on my own terms, so I may not be every dog's cup of tea. I am going to benefit from an experienced home that has a good training plan and tons of patience, as I have only just started working on myself since I got to the shelter. I am a smart girl that will need a lot of physical and mental stimulation to keep me happy and healthy, so an active home would be ideal. I am young enough be molded into an amazing pup with the proper guidance by my people, and I guarantee the reward of having me will be worth it!The highlights... I NEED to be exercised daily I am energetic and very strong MUST own your own home, I'm a restricted breed Very smart, teach me a s much as possibleMy ideal home would include... A family that has time, patience, and a plan for potty training. Any dog that's introduced to a new environment is bound to have accidents, whether they're an adult dog or a puppy. I will need my humans to have a plan for potty training and show me where and when I'm expected to go potty. I am a playful girl who loves to play with friendly dogs, so keeping me social is important. I play well with the other dogs in a playgroup, but they need to be able to keep up with rough play style. Patience and a plan for training. If not properly worked with any dog can develop bad habits and personalities.

DOB: 12/8/2023Breed: American Pitbull Terrier MixSpayed Female Microchipped & fully vaccinated. Negative for heartworm & tick-borne diseases, and on a monthly preventative Adoption Fee $300A little bit about me...Hi! Thanks for visiting. I'm Rhiannon. I'm a sweet girl that longs for a place to call home, where I can feel the same kind of love that I provide. I've grown up here with my 6 other siblings, and let me tell ya, it's been quite the ride! I've had a lot of fun, but I'm ready to see the real world, and what is has to offer. I may be small now, but expect me to be at least 50lbs, not including these big, beautiful ears! Since I am still a puppy though, I will require all obedience and potty training to become my best, well-mannered self. The highlights... I need daily physical and mental exercise. Potty Training!! I can be a mellow girl. I am excited about meeting polite, friendly dogs.My perfect home would include... A home with positive reinforcement training knowledge and/or experience to help guide me in the right direction. A family that has time, patience, and a plan for potty training. Any dog that's introduced to a new environment is bound to have accidents, whether they're an adult or puppy.

DOB: 11/01/2023 Breed: Dachshund/Hound mix Spayed female -17lbs- Microchipped & fully vaccinated Negative for heartworm & tick-borne diseases, and on a monthly preventative Adoption Fee $325A little bit about me...Hi there! My name is Maple. Like the syrup, I love to spread my sweetness. I've come a long way since arriving here with my other family members, and we are still learning the way of the dog. The social skills I've acquired along my journey here have been very beneficial to me, and I've made a lot of friends amongst people and other dogs. I'm a lively, inquisitive young girl who is ready to discover everything about the world, and how I fit into it. Since I am still a puppy, I'll need to go through all the puppy training requirements to become a polite and well-mannered girl. Won't you please give these adorable puppy dog eyes a try?The highlights... -Face booper! I need to be taught to tone down my kisses -Potty training! -My lengthy spine means I need to be closely monitored on how high I'm permitted to jump -I can be a vocal girl when I'm having funMy ideal home would include... -Patience and understanding, as I am a puppy, and will be relying solely on you to learn how to be a well rounded girl -Lots of activities and involvement. I am in play groups daily and get a lot of exercise -I need boundaries set in my new home right away so that I understand that I don't get to do whatever I want, whenever I want. With structure and routine, I will be successful in my new home
