Story
Tika Tika is a sweet 4-year-old petite girl with a lot of puppy energy.  She is VERY inquisitive and is forever exploring.  This includes being able to stretch to get into things she can reach on tables.  She has the potential to be an escape artist, so a MINIMUM 6 ft. BLOCK WALL is REQUIRED.  SOAZBR does a home visit on all applicants.  She would benefit from an owner who will provide obedience training to learn commands. Tika needs a family to take her on 2-3 daily walks daily walks/jogs/hikes, AND, have another active dog to play with, due to her high energy.    No cats please! Children should be age 10 or older.  She loves to ride in a car and is great on a leash.  She is ok in a crate but does have some separation anxiety.  She would be ok in a crate alone for a few hours but should not be left out unattended as she does like to get into anything her nose leads her to.  She is trained to use a doggie door and doesn't mind going out in the rain. We are looking to adopt Tika with in a 50 mile radius of Tucson . If you are interested in this true fearless sweetheart, please submit an application and a volunteer will contact you.  If you have applied for a young beagle with us in the past and are interested, please submit a new application.  We will consider applications on a first come first serve basis but will also consider the best placement for Tika.  Here is a link to our application.  Tika's adoption fee is $275. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1SnhudHYFJaPfZyCeKy36-9pbowOVOI-xrX4TIiSIxl4/edit?usp=drive_open This dog's adoption fee is a minimum $275.00 donation to help us save more dogs. Southern Arizona Beagle Rescue, SoAZBR is an all-volunteer group. One hundred percent of your donation is used for the care and treatment needy beagles. Your donation is 100% tax deductible, too. Story
EVE Eve is a small sweet Puggle (pug and beagle) the vet estimates is 6 yrs. old and is 22 pounds with long legs. She's a lovebug and wants to cuddle with a person on a couch/chair and in bed. She knows how to use a dog door and has had no inside accidents. She has a lot of play energy and needs a home where she will be walked a minimum of 1-2 times a day. She also needs another dog to play with and a back yard to run in. Eve can jump high and a minimum 5ft. wall all the way around is required. She is also a digger. Fencing must have a footer so she doesn't dig her way under. Children in the home should be at least 6 yrs. or older, due to her energy. Her favorite thing to do is lay in the back yard, waiting to stalk squirrels. We aren't sure if she is cat friendly. She is not happy being in a crate. We are looking to adopt Eve in the Tucson area as she has the potential to be a door dasher. If you are interested in adopting Eve or have any questions about her, please fill out an application on the Southern Arizona Beagle Rescue website. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1SnhudHYFJaPfZyCeKy36-9pbowOVOI-xrX4TIiSIxl4/edit Eve's adoption fee is $250.November 5, 2024, 12:02 pm

Story
Rocky Rocky is a typical 2-year-old beagle boy! He is friendly with people and other dogs and likes to play with everybody! Rocky came to us when his owner could no longer care for him.  He will need an adopter who will walk him a minimum of 30 minutes a day as an outlet for his energy. He will also need another active dog to play with. He has had positive experiences with cats, kids and most other dogs. He is currently in a foster home with other male and female beagles. He does need to be separated from other dogs during feeding times, and when giving treats. Like many beagles, he is a digger, and a budding counter surfer. If you know beagles, you know this is typical. For safety, we feed that he needs a concrete footer in his yard, and we are looking to adopt him in the Tucson area. If you are interested in adopting Rocky, please go to our web site and fill out an application. His adoption fee is $300.  https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1SnhudHYFJaPfZyCeKy36-9pbowOVOI-xrX4TIiSIxl4/editNovember 5, 2024, 12:02 pm

Story
CARTER Carter is a 3–4-year-old, 77-pound, sweet, snuggly hound boy! By DNA, he is roughly equal parts bluetick, redbone, treeing walker and Plott hounds. Even though he looks and sounds like a bloodhound, he does not have any bloodhound in him and his personality is all coonhound! So, if you love coonhounds, you can get almost all of them in one package with Carter! Carter lives in a foster home with male and female dogs, and gets along well. He is unknown with cats. He does not have the best leash skills. The good news is that he has gone to training for this and has gotten MUCH better at not pulling so much! Carter needs a 30-40 minute walk every day to stay happy and healthy. He loves the water and will take a dip in even a small tub of water! His only issue is with containment. He can climb his foster mom’s 5-foot “no-climb” ranch fencing. He can most likely get over any 5-foot fence. It is unknown if he can climb a 5-foot BLOCK wall. For his safety, he would do best in a home with a 5-6-foot block wall AND 5-6-foot gates. If interested in Carter, his foster mom will discuss fencing options with you. Carter is also a door darter, so he will need to go to a home with older children who know not to leave gates and doors open. He is also jumpy and a bit mouthy, so he can knock down little kiddos. We are looking for a hound-experienced adopter with secure containment, and children 12 or older for our big, sweet hound boy. If you are interested in adopting Carter, please go to our website and fill out an application https://docs.google.com/.../1SnhudHYFJaPfZyCeKy36.../edit, and his foster mom will be in touch with you. Carter’s adoption fee is $300.00. Beagle Rescue, SoAZBR is an all-volunteer group. One hundred percent of your donation is used for the care and treatment needy beagles. Story
Hazel Hazel is a 5-year-old “Bagel” (beagle/basset hound mix), who came to us as a stray.  Attempts were made to find her owners, but none came forward.  In her foster home she is getting along very well with other dogs, large and small, male and female.  She is unknown with kids, but she does tend to jump up so she would need to meet any kids from a prospective adoptive home.  She is also unknown with cats.  She is in good weight at 35 pounds.  She pulls somewhat on leash and her foster mom is working with her on that.  She does need a daily walk and will need an owner who is able to take her for walks.  Hazel is house trained, and not destructive when left alone in the home.  Anyone interested in meeting Hazel will need to bring all family members and resident dogs to Tucson to meet her.  If you are interested in meeting Hazel, please fill out an application and her foster mom will get back to you. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1SnhudHYFJaPfZyCeKy36-9pbowOVOI-xrX4TIiSIxl4/edit  Hazel’s adoption fee is $250.    This dog's adoption fee is a minimum $250.00 donation to help us save more dogs.
