We have a pool, she doesn’t care for the water, yet she is safe to get to the stairs if she needed to. She walks on a leash will. She is a great companion, needs someone who knows what to do to help her stop barking. She is good with Men and Women, and loves children.

This sweetheart is in search of their forever home. Sapphire is about 5 years old and is a chihuahua-pomeranian mix. She is just about the sweetest girl around and loves people she's comfortable with. She is friendly to strangers and will approach with tail wagging, however can be head shy at first. She comes around rather quickly! At home she is very relaxed and loves to snuggle on the couch with you. However she is also a great adventure dog- she does very well on hikes up to a couple miles and loves car rides. She currently lives with a cat and is great at respecting space and boundaries. As far as other dogs go, she is aloof and tends to ignore them on walks. Sapphire is very food motivated which makes giving her daily medications super easy (she has Addison's Disease and needs daily meds and once a month injections with a veterinarian). She is also crate trained and potty trained using a bell to ask to go outside. Max is 3 1/2 years old, was just at PetSmart for a couple day stay as we went on vacation. They love him, and he plays very well with small or medium dogs. Very loving, loves to watch tv. He knows commands like sit, come, etc. Protective of our home. We don’t have many visitors, so he barks when they move. Just needs someone who can continue his training, because I do believe someone had him trained as a puppy. Does very will when he goes to be groomed.

Wonderful hiking and walking partner!All dogs are located in foster homes in southeast Arizona. The foster home is between Benson and Willcox just south of Interstate 10. 'Minty' came to Fedwell Farm about a year ago. His wonderful personality has really come out and he is a foster favorite. Minty is very smart, you can tell him NO and he will not do that behavior again! For instance, the foster mom caught him pulling the stuffing out of a dog bed, she said NO and he has not ever done that behavior again! The beds are safe! Minty has the cutest grin. He should have had braces; we just love it when he smiles! His crooked teeth do NOT cause any eating problems. He loves people. He gets along with everyone! He even can be with dog aggressive dogs; he just is the greatest boy! Spearmint is 11 years old, probably a bit younger, but he is a senior boy. Minty does not seem to have any age-related disorders. He goes to the barn and helps his foster mom with chores. He can go for long walks, hikes etc., he is in great shape! He weight is approximately 80 pounds. Spearmint had been a volunteer favorite and walks very well on a leash. Spearmint can go for walks; hikes and his age does not limit him at all.
