With patience and kindness, my confidence will slowly start to shine. My brother is my best friend and helps me feel brave when the world feels big or unfamiliar. Having a calm, supportive home will help me continue to grow and come out of my shell. I’m looking for a loving family who understands that I’m still learning. I haven’t had much opportunity to practice basic commands or manners yet, so I’ll need someone who’s willing to teach me gently and cheer me on as I learn. Hey im jet! When I first came here, I was really scared. Everything was new and everyone was a little too big and loud for me. I didn’t know if I could trust anyone. But with time, patience, and lots of gentle encouragement, I started to realize that the people here were pretty great! Now, I’m a total lovebug once I know you. I adore my human friends and have so much fun playing with my dog pals, too. I’m proud to say I’ve mastered sit and paw—I’m a bit of a pro at those! I’m still working on lay down... it’s a work in progress, but I’ll get there soon. I can still be a little shy when meeting new people, so I like slow introductions and a bit of space at first. Story

Scout is a 5 year old Pembrooke Corgi, we adopted her in the spring of 2021 from a farm near Edmonton. She comes from a farm family with corgi herding parents. Scout is energetic and loves to play fetch and run, she loves spending time outside and going for walks. She is a people person and is always excited to make new friends. As a puppy she was kennel trained but as she grew she now enjoys sleeping on the bed. House trained, Scout can accommodate a working schedule and sleeps thru the night. She loves a late sleep in and only requires the bottom half of the bed to do so. Scout has completed a beginner training class and can sit, lay down, paw, turn, position and leash walk. We had nipping incident last year and we consulted her vet and did private training, and thought we were managing well but had a bite last month and feel we need to find her a new home with someone experienced with dogs. Scout is not aggressive, but reactive.
