Story
Meet Braunnie, a happy-go-lucky Golden Retriever with a heart as big as his wiggly body! This affectionate boy absolutely adores people and greets his friends with full-body wiggles and a toy proudly carried in his mouth. Braunnie has previously lived with children and enjoys being around his people. Because he’s a big, enthusiastic guy who likes to hold things in his mouth when he gets excited, he would do best in a home with older kids who can recognize when he needs space to relax.Braunnie arrived at the shelter with another large-breed dog and may be able to share his home with a canine companion after a successful introduction at the shelter. He has no history with cats and small animals, so any introductions should be done gradually with close supervision! This sweet boy is still learning his manners and will benefit from continued positive reinforcement training and behaviour support, especially as he works on improving his bite inhibition. He’s already making great progress and has started muzzle training as part of his learning journey. If you’re looking for a loving, goofy companion who will greet you like you’re the best part of his day, Braunnie might be your perfect match!Braunnie is:- open to older kids (13+)- unknown with cats- open to dogs with introBraunnie and his new family will receive two private consults and a session of Reactive Rover to start their new life together off on the right paw!

Story
Meet Papi! Named after the charming chihuahua from `Beverly Hills Chihuahua`, this little guy has plenty of personality packed into his tiny frame. Found as a stray, not much is known about his past, but Papi has quickly shown everyone that he’s a confident, social boy who loves being the center of attention.Papi is all about affection. He’ll happily pop his paws onto your lap and gently push his head into your hands to ask for more pets. Like his movie namesake, he can get pretty excited and isn’t shy about sharing his big feelings! Papi is also super playful and enjoys spending time chasing toys, exploring new places and running around outside.Papi does display quite significant resource guarding behaviours around food and high-value items, so he’ll need an experienced adult home (no small children) that can help him work on this and respect his space. He also has a strong prey drive and would do best in a home without small animals. His history with other dogs is limited, but he may be able to live with one after a successful introduction at the shelter! If you are looking to add some flavour to your life and are prepared to navigate some of his quirks, Papi could be the pup for you! Papi is:- open to older kids (13+)- no cats or small animals- open to dogs with intro, limited history

Story
*Lucy is in the process of being adopted!*Meet Lucy! This bright and bubbly young pup is ready to bring tons of laughs, love and liveliness to her new family. Lucy absolutely *adores* people and doesn’t hesitate to show it. She greets everyone with full-body wags and a big, happy personality. If you’re looking for a dog who will be thrilled to see you every single day, Lucy is your girl.Lucy is a playful youngster with lots of energy and curiosity. She’s very smart, already crate trained, and knows some basic commands. She’s also highly motivated by treats, which makes training a fun and rewarding experience for both of you. With her quick mind and eagerness to learn, Lucy is sure to pick up new skills in no time. Because she’s still a young dog, Lucy will thrive in a home that can provide her with regular exercise, playtime, and continued training to help channel her energy in positive ways.Lucy loves kids but can get very excited during play and may be a bit rough, so she’s best suited for a home with children aged 10 and up. She has limited history with other dogs and would need a dog introduction at the shelter, and she has not lived with cats before. If you’re looking for a smart, affectionate, and playful companion, Lucy is your gal!Lucy is:- open to kids 10+- unknown with cats- open to dogs with intro

Story
*Buddy is on a sleepover!*Buddy is a handsome boy with a big heart and a love for relaxing by your side. Although his pre-shelter history is mainly unknown, he’s shown just how resilient he is and continues to charm everyone with his sweet nature. We have found him to be a wonderful companion; affectionate while still enjoying his independence. He’s happy to lounge peacefully on the couch and even shows excellent house manners. Buddy is also a smart boy who is well on his way to knowing several commands and even how to catch a tossed treat.Buddy thrives when given clear guidance and positive reinforcement training, and potential adopters should be committed to continuing force-free, science-based, reward-based training to help him succeed. Buddy would do best with adopters who are willing to learn about his needs, respect his boundaries, and continue building his skills in a positive way.Buddy’s past experiences are not fully known, including his history with other animals or children. As with all dogs, behaviour can change and develop over time, and continued support, patience, and thoughtful introductions will help Buddy feel safe and confident in his new home. In return, you’ll gain a loyal, clever companion who is just as happy playing with his Kong and learning new tricks as he is relaxing on the couch with you.Buddy has:- unknown history with kids- unknown history with cats- unknown history with dogs
