TEMPERAMENT
Polar is a playful, sociable, and affectionate companion. He thrives on human interaction and enjoys outdoor activities, toys, and no-hide chews. He plays well with other small dogs and loves having fun in a secure yard.
DAILY ROUTINE
Polar starts his day early with a bathroom break and yard play, weather permitting. He eats two meals daily and follows a regular grooming schedule:
Haircuts: Every 4 months
Nail trims: Every 6–8 weeks
IDEAL HOME
We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced family familiar with active puppies and their unique needs. A securely fenced yard is required due to his natural prey drive and digging tendencies.
Polar is not suitable for apartments, condos, townhouses, or duplexes due to his energy level and playful barking. While he enjoys the company of other small dogs, he may do best as the only pet in an active home.
Before applying, please ensure you have thoroughly researched puppy care, including grooming needs and house training, to support a smooth adoption experience.
TRAINING REQUIREMENT
Training is essential for Polar’s continued growth and success in a new home. Completion of Force-Free Dog Obedience Training is mandatory and a condition of adoption through Heart Prints Dog Rescue Society.
Please note that training classes are not included in the adoption fee.
Classes are held with Joanna at For The Love Of Paws Pet Services – visit www.flopps.ca for more details.
ADOPTION FEE:
$760.00 (non-negotiable)
This fee covers veterinary care including:
Vaccinations
Neuter surgery
Microchipping
Treatment for retained puppy teeth
Deworming (3 times)
If you are uncomfortable with the adoption fee, we kindly ask that you consider applying through another rescue organization. We aim to maintain respectful and constructive communication with all potential adopters.
