He has a playful and energetic personality and enjoys outdoor activities. Polar loves toys and no hide chews. He loves playing with other small dogs. **Daily Schedule:** Polar typically wakes up early, goes to the restroom, and, weather permitting, plays in a secure yard. He has two meals each day. His grooming routine includes haircuts every four months and nail trims every six to eight weeks. **Ideal Home:** We are looking for a knowledgeable and experienced family familiar with active puppies and their specific personality traits. Polar can vocalize during play and when visitors arrive. A securely fenced yard is essential due to his digging tendencies and natural prey drive. We strongly recommend researching the breeds mentioned above before applying to our rescue. Due to Polar high energy level and playful barking, he is not suitable for apartment, condo, townhouse, or duplex living. While he enjoys the company of other small dogs, he would thrive in an active family environment as a sole pet. Before reaching out to us, please ensure you have researched puppy care, including grooming and house training, to ensure a positive adoption experience. **Training Requirement:** Polar will benefit greatly from training classes to help him adjust to a new home. Force-Free Dog Obedience Training classes are mandatory for adopting Forest from Heart Prints Dog Rescue Society. This requirement is non-negotiable, and please note that training classes are not included in the adoption fee. **Adoption Fee:** $760.00 (non-negotiable) This fee helps cover the veterinary care necessary to make Polar available for adoption, including all vaccinations, neuter surgery, microchip, treatment for retained puppy teeth, and deworming (3 times). If you do not understand this and complain about the adoption fee, please consider reaching out to another rescue organization. We aim to keep our interactions positive and productive. If you’re interested in meeting Polar, please join us for one of our meet-and-greet days. Email us at Heartprintsdogadoptions@gmail.com to request our "All About Our Rescue Document." To help us find the best home for Polar, please provide a brief description of your household, including family members, existing pets, and the typical noise level. Additionally, detail the type and height of your property's fencing and your housing status (rent or own). Please be aware that due to the high volume of applications, we may not be able to respond to all inquiries. We will only contact applicants who provide all requested information. We do not respond to demanding inquiries, questions about the adoption status, or brief questions such as "Is this dog available?" Moreover, we kindly ask that you refrain from expressing disagreement with any part of Polar's biography, as such communications can place undue stress on our volunteers. Our priority is always the well-being of the dogs in our care.

Story
Spike has a story with us and we’d like to share it with you. Spike is a three year old Husky mix. He came from the Northwest Territories SPCA when he was 8 weeks old. He was a happy friendly puppy who loved the female dog, cat, and kids in his foster home. He was adopted as a puppy and then abandoned, dropped at the neighbour`s house when he was 7 months old. She only realized he had been a rescue pup from his microchip when she took him to the vet. He had a limp and she contacted us saying she cared for him but he was too puppy for an older lady. We brought him back into care and we realized that he would periodically limp. The vets said he was born with a shorter back leg, and it was accommodating his active lifestyle but starting to cause him consistent pain. He would need to be on pain medication or have it amputated for better quality of life. So BARS decided to give him a pain free, active, happy life and amputate his short leg. It was a tough few days after surgery but he healed up amazingly. He is running, playing and back to his best self. Spike is ready for a family to love him forever. If Spike could speak he would ask for lots of outside space, a safe place to sleep at night. Cats, cats and more cats, as he absolutely loves them and protects them. He is good with female dogs after proper introductions but hasn’t had much luck sharing a home with another male. Spike loves toys and can carry multiple toys in his mouth at once. He is a smart, funny and vibrant character that will add so much love and excitement to your home.

Story
Hello world I’m Ollie, I’m a Pyrenees gal 4/5yrs old. I love dogs and cats and I’m good with farm animals. I love cuddles and adventures in the great outdoors. My challenging characteristics are that I can be protective of my person and my property and I am extremely selective about the men that I like. It’s very normal for my breed. I do best with another friendly dog that does friendly meet and greets then I want to be friendly too. If you were looking for a pair I met and fell in love with Kuma while in my foster home. He happens to be looking for a home as well. Kuma LOVES people and that makes me want to love them as well (Kuma is available through Fern`s Acres).

Hi, I’m Steveo!Approximate age: 2 yearBreed: MixedEnergy Level: Medium high Good with Kids: I’m still young and high energy so older kids would be bestGood with Dogs: Need proper introduction. Prefer females.Good with Cats: No. Not really a fan. Love my rabbit buddy thoughHey im Steveo! I`m a sweet, playful, smart, and cuddly guy. I love people, they`re my favorite! I also love car rides, they are the best! And toys, oh, how I love toys! They keep me entertained for hours. But the crate? Nah. I mean, I can go in if necessary but it`s not my thing. I prefer to be out and about, exploring and playing. I`m a good boy sleeping on my bed. I do love to run and play so would do best in a fenced yard.I`m also smart, you know. I can learn new tricks quickly, and I`m always eager to please. Other dogs? I have been okay with females but not a fan of the other boys. Cats? Hard to say. I met one at the vet who I wanted to chase but I am good friends with the rabbit in my home. Really, I`m all about the people. I`m looking for a family who will love me as much as I will love them. I promise to be the best friend you`ve ever had. Adopt me, and let`s start our adventure together! If you would like to meet me and give me a chance . Please fill out the adoption application!

Story
Hello my name is AberApproximate age: 2 YearsGender: MaleBreed: very mixed large breedEnergy level: I am a chill laid back pup.Good with kids: yesGood with dogs: yes.Good with cats: yesI have done very well in my foster home. I’m great with other dogs, cats and I absolutely adore the kids. I love to play but I can be the calm in your day, the quiet listener, the loyal friend.I know lots of basic commands such as sit, stay, leave it and come. I’m a very smart boy.I might be a bit reserved initially, but give me a chance to settle in and I`ll show you my playful loving side. I would do best in a quite home with a confident canine sister to show me how much fun being a dog can be. A quiet country home would be my dream come true. I`m looking for a forever home where I can share all the love I have to give. Will you be my new family?
