Story
We've made the very difficult decision to find a new home for our two beautiful golden retrievers, Juke and Bailey. They'll be turning two this May and are littermates - brother and sister, so it's incredibly important to us that they stay together. We got Juke and Bailey from a breeder when they were just puppies. From the beginning, they've been sweet-natured, gentle, and incredibly affectionate. They've grown up in a busy household with five kids, and while they're well-socialized and patient, they would thrive in a calmer environment with more consistent one-on-one attention and space to roam. They are both house-trained, and have had some good obedience training. They are playful, loyal, and cuddly; truly classic golden retrievers in every sense of the word. Juke is the more laid-back of the two, while Bailey has a bit more spunk and curiosity, but they balance each other out beautifully. They are a bonded pair and love to be around people and each other.

Story
I'm reaching out in the hope that someone with other dogs would consider taking in my beloved Simba who needs a new home due to a situation that has become unmanageable in my household. My dog, Simba, is exceptional in many ways. He's great with other dogs, thrives in social environments like the dog park where we often run together, and is comfortable with people he knows as well as in public settings. However, he has developed a territorial behavior when strangers enter our home, which has led to biting incidents. Despite efforts to address this through training, his reactions are unpredictable and happen suddenly. With three teenage daughters and friends frequently visiting our home, this behavior has become too significant a risk, and I feel I have no choice but to find him a new home. This decision is heartbreaking for me and my family as he is perfect, gentle, loyal, playful and amazing in every other way. However, he needs a controlled environment, best with another dog

Story
Cosmic Brownie (Cosmo) is a 17 month Busky (Beagle-Husky) that was privately adopted after he was rescued with the rest of his litter. He's a high energy boy who loves a good game of tug of war. He enjoys a good walk and will keep up with your pace even with his short stature lol. He's still a little nervous with new people and can be pretty vocal about it (sounds alot scarier than he is which is not at all lol). He's a heavy chewer so he needs good quality toys, nothing soft or plushy. He has basic training including crate, potty, sit, down, off, to bed, and paw. He's still learning manners and recall and will need someone dedicated to helping him with that. He really needs a more active family with space for him to run and play. He loves to try and play with our cats but they're not fans. He's good with our daughter but he is too active so she doesn't feel comfortable with him. He's a great dog with a ton of potential with the right family!

Story
Meet Lou! Breed: Doberman Age: 5 Location: Kelowna, BC Personality: Lou loves to play and run around.  He's got lots of energy and likes to explore around. He is quite affectionate and needs love and attention often. He is always on guard and will let you know when someone is on your property. Is great at giving kisses and cuddles. Is crate trained and potty trained. Needs work on recall and can be leash reactive, but is quite easy to redirect.  Likes: Kongs filled with frozen fruit and peanut butter. Going for walks. Practicing tricks. Likes all toys especially toys he can rip the stuffing out of. Playing with other dogs. Dislikes: When dogs pester him and/or ignore him when he says he is done playing. Strangers approaching his property without proper introduction. Ideal Home: Lou would be best in a home where he could have a job. He would like to have a window to look out of during the day. Lou requires a consistent owner who can establish and maintain boundaries in a gentle way. Lou is not currently allowed on furniture as he has shown irritability and has air snapped at his foster when disrupted on the couch.  ‍‍‍ Family: Good with female dogs. Best to go to an adult only home due to behavior referenced above. No cats please! Health: Due to his albinism, Lou may have allergies and sensitivity to the environment and/or certain proteins.  He cannot be in the direct sun for long periods of time without skin and eye protection (he has a pair of Rex Specs that will come with him). Lou recently had masses on his eyelid and chest removed, which were both benign. He has a tooth that may require removal in the future, but that is not causing him any issues right now.  Adoption Fee: $500 Lou has been neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated. All adopters must agree not to use any punitive training methods. Apply to adopt Lou by submitting our adoption application at https://adoptadobe.com/adoption-application/. Please note that we do not ship dogs and all adoptions require a home visit and meet and greet prior to finalization. Donate to Lou’s care at https://adoptadobe.com/donate/. ##2303497##
