Story
We got her at the Dekalb county shelter in Ft . Payne , Alabama . on January 22 nd .We have a 10 year old chihuahua and they are just not getting along with each other . Gracie is ok with our chihuahua but since our chihuahua has been an ( only ) dog for the last 10 years , she is hesitated in being friends . The chip Gracie has does have our information on it . She is well behaved , and sits on comand .she wants to run outside and we don't want her to get lost because we live in a country setting , thus part of our delima with keeping her . This dog is sweet so if you can help , we will appreciate it as we really don't want to take her back to that shelter . We are willing to travel if its under 100 miles to transport this dog if we find her a new home . 🏡

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If you are interested in any of the FFOSK9 pups,  the first step is to fill out an application at  http://www.ffosk9resq.org/info/adoption . Kermit is a sweet loving guy that just wants to please his humans. He is good with the other dogs at the rescue. Sadly Kermit was adopted by an older couple and couldn't they give him the kind of attention and exercise that a dog his age needs because of their health issues, so he was returned to the rescue. It wasn't his fault, he just wanted someone that can play, run, hike and just have fun with. Kermit has been left in the house at night un-crated and does very well. He waits until morning to be let out to do his business. Kermit also loves car rides and rides quietly watching out the window. He would be a great companion for any active person or family.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  We are a home based, not for profit organization in Northeast Alabama that helps place forgotten and unwanted pets in forever homes.  We are an all volunteer, 501(c)3  organization.  We rescue pets from high kill shelters, prior to being euthanized, as well as strays and unwanted pets. We believe Elmo might just have some Boxer mix in him. He was a bit timid in the beginning too but he has come around to trusting us at his foster home. He loves racing his brother Ernie when tossing toys, especially balls and knotted ropes and playing tug of war with him. Elmo currently weighs 40 pounds is neutered, tested negative for heartworms, up to date on all vaccines, and he has been on his monthly prevention for heartworms, flea, ticks and parasites.   Adoption Fee is $325 to help cover the cost of vetting, neuter, vaccines and preventatives as well as daily needs.
