Story
Scout is a lovable dog. We found Scout outside of our church with no home and took him home until we could find him another home. He loves to cuddle but also one of the most content dogs. He loves to lay outside either sun bathing or feeling the cold wind. He will come inside and want to be petted. He is all about playing or laying around and chilling. He is one of the best dogs and we hate to rehome him but we never meant for it to be permanent. He will be your best friend, loves going on walks, play outside, and loves kids.

Story
*Meet Henley*, a calm and gentle companion looking for a loving home. With a relaxed demeanor and a heart full of affection, Henley enjoys quiet moments and is content with cuddles and gentle pets. Hes well-mannered and easygoing, making him the perfect fit for a family or individual looking for a laid-back friend. If youre looking for a loving and serene companion, Henley may be your perfect match!" Henley's rescue story began at a gas station where a now volunteer spotted him. She reports, "He approached me, but I noticed he was emaciated and had ticks. Initially thinking he was blind, I later discovered he wasnt. Despite my sisters dog not liking him, I couldnt leave him behind and took it upon myself to provide him with food and water. A police officer informed me that the pup had been roaming the area for two weeks and that hed been hit by a drunk driver recently, which explained his fear of cars. Over two emotional days, I couldnt shake the worry for his safety, especially with my own dogs intimidating him. After contacting numerous shelters and vets, only Summits responded. Once settled, he enjoyed a ride with me, filling my heart with joy. I cried when I left him, prompting me to volunteer and ensure he knew he was loved. Now, hes the sweetest boy and truly loves his car rides!"   Check out Henley's video: https://youtube.com/shorts/oli3B9JSHGA?si=iTIJGVUEl8RtBQLy   Adoption fee $200 (chipped, fixed, updated on shots) Please visit our website www.summitssanctuary.org to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs.

Story
Rachel was dropped off and ended up near a volunteers house who ended up fostering her. We think she is a Rottweiler/American Bull Terrier/mix. She weighs about 35/40 pounds. She loves kids and people, but we suggest her being in a home with no other dogs as she is dog selective. Rachel is currently at a foster home and this is what the foster has to say about her: "She loves going on walks. She also likes hugs and gives doggie kisses. She'll make someone a excellent best friend. She will be eager to learn." If you are interested in Rachel or have any questions please call Leesa at: 256-706-2106 Adoption fee $200 (chipped, fixed, updated on shots) Please visit our website www.summitssanctuary.org to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs.

Story
Oh I know what you're thinking! I'm just your typical black and white mix that is a dime a dozen on this website! But wait...I'm different! You see I have had training! I know all the basic obedience commands and I'm house broken! I'll even quietly stay in a comfy crate if you need to leave me for a bit! But boy when you get home you better be ready to go for a long walk or my favorite pass time...swimming! Take me to the lake or we can go in the backyard and you can spray me with a hose! I love a good mud hole too! With a proper meet n greet I will get along with other pets and I love kids! Are you my person? Will you give me a chance? I promise to not disappoint!
