Story
Hi I'm Oscar! My brother Rocky and sister Missy are also here at the Ark with me. We're lucky that we have each other to play with, and we sure do love to play! But the truth is, we really all want our own home and family to grow up with. I'm shy at first because I wasn't around people much when I was little, but once I get to know you, I'm a big playful wanna-be lap dog! I just need a little time to warm up before I get my playful gear in motion. I love to spend time with the volunteers, and go for walks and play and I love meeting and playing with other dogs too! *The Adoption fee for Oscar is reduced/covered by adoption sponsorship donations When I arrived at the Ark, we played the 'guess what breed I am' game, and the most guesses were that I'm a Cur mix, but I know that's just a guess - I know what I am, I'm a Purebred Mix-Breed!! And if you don't know what a Cur is - you sure have been missing out, good thing you found me because we're awesome dogs!! Check this out (from Google): Are cur dogs good family pets? Cur: Dog Breed Characteristics & Care Their energy, intelligence, and tenacity make them loyal workers and companions, while their desire to bond with humans makes them great family dogs. **Ark Rescue dogs are available for adoption to homes in the Alabama and Tennessee Valley area only. We do require a secure fenced-in yard to adopt our larger dogs. September 7, 2024, 10:05 am

Hi I'm Skye! See that big smile of mine? Well, I wear that big smile whenever I'm around my human friends - I just LOVE my humans!!! I'm also a pretty expert tail wagger and if you give me a belly rub, I'll follow you anywhere! Best of all - I'm 100% housetrained!! At 3 1/2 years old and about 45pounds, I'm a wonderful age and size to fit right next to you and watch a good movie, because I love to be mellow and cuddle! I'll even let you pick whatever movie you want - all I need is to be your only movie buddy, I don't like cats to cut into our time together. *The Adoption fee for Skye is reduced/covered by adoption sponsorship donations   When I arrived at the Ark, we played the 'guess what breed I am' game, the most guesses were that I'm a Staffy Bull Terrier Lab mix, but I know that's just a guess - I know what I am, I'm a Purebred Mix-Breed!! **Ark Rescue dogs are available for adoption to homes in the Alabama and Tennessee Valley area only. Story
Hi I'm Rosie! I'm an active 5 year old gal who loves to go for walks with the volunteers. I'd love to have a person who could spend time to bring me to training and help me learn all the things I didn't get to learn when I was little. Now that I'm an 'adult', I know just what kind of family would be best for me: since I can be a bit picky with other dogs, and guarded with my space, so I'd be best as the only dog in the family. Cats are probably not a good idea either! Even though I have a couple of special living needs, I'm a great gal who just needs a family to prove it to! *The Adoption fee for Rosie is reduced/covered by adoption sponsorship donations When I arrived at the Ark, we played the 'guess what breed I am' game, and the most guesses were that I'm a Boxer mix, but I know that's just a guess - I know what I am, I'm a Purebred Mix-Breed!! **Ark Rescue dogs are available for adoption to homes in the Alabama and Tennessee Valley area only. We do require a secure fenced-in yard to adopt our larger dogs. Here's what the Ark volunteers say about me: Rosie is a very active dog and is protective of her space. She will do best in a home with someone that is active. She would benefit from some dog training. She needs to be in a home without any other dogs. She walks on leash well most of the time and loves to run and play. She is a good snuggles! September 7, 2024, 10:05 am

Story
Hi I'm Roscoe! Aside from being impressed with how handsome I am, I bet you're wondering what my name means - well, here's what that Gooble searchie thing says: "Roscoe is a popular name for dogs, as it reflects a loyal and devoted personality. This name is often associated with a strong bond between owner and pet, and is perfect for a dog that loves to be around its owner. The name Roscoe is also associated with intelligence and wit." How about that - that's pretty spot on description for what a great guy I am! And to go along with all that, I'm a healthy and energetic year and a half old 50 pound bundle of pure playfulness! I haven't quite mastered how to control all of my energy just yet, but I'm working really hard learning from the Ark volunteers! I'd love to have a family who can work with me to help me keep learning and give me lots of playtime too! *The Adoption fee for Roscoe is reduced/covered by adoption sponsorship donations When I arrived at the Ark, we played the 'guess what breed I am' game, the most guesses were that I'm a Black Lab mix, but I know that's just a guess - I know what I am, I'm a Purebred Mix-Breed!! **Ark Rescue dogs are available for adoption to homes in the Alabama and Tennessee Valley area only. Story
Hi, I'm Daisy! I'm a young 3ish year old beauty, don't you think?! I'm happy and upbeat, I love to play and have a good time but also enjoy a nice nap in the shade. I really enjoy going on walks and spending time with my volunteer friends. I have a medium length coat, and it's pearly white after I have my bath! *The Adoption fee for Daisy is reduced/covered by adoption sponsorship donations When I arrived at the Ark, we played the 'guess what breed I am' game, and the most guesses were that I'm a Pointer/Lab mix, but I know that's just a guess - I know what I am, I'm a Purebred Mix-Breed!! **Ark Rescue dogs are available for adoption to homes in the Alabama and Tennessee Valley area only.
